If the holy day is so holy to you, why don't you focus on this time of renewal and blessings for the year to come instead of a [censored] game?
No offense, but you can't have it both ways.
It's either an important HOLY day and utterly trumps the game in every conceivable way such that playing in some imaginary world wouldn't be tempting or it isn't in which case who gives a crap.
So tell us, do you feel like your relationship with God, the creator of heaven and earth, this omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient being of infinite justice and mercy, who I think is supposed to be very important if you're religious is interfering in your game playing?
People at work miss it too. They have to be at work, presumably or they would have chosen not to be at work. If people don't have to be at work, and they are, then they have chosen to be at work. If you don't want to do the religious thing, and yet you do it anyway, I have to wonder what you get out of it and why even care? You're not being forced to do it.
As for me, I'm going to eat some brisket for our Rosh Hashana meal and won't be playing, even though I am home and non-Jewish. -

You moron... if EVERY power was or did the same damage, THEN WHY HAVE DIFFRENT POWERS. IF YOUR TOON IN YOUR MIND HAS SUPER REFLEXES, THEN PLAY SUPER REFLEXES. If you didn't want to take damage, then take invuln.

This makes no sense considering how invincibility in the invuln set adds to defense so well, as does tough hide.
Why is it appropriate for invuln to have the best resist and massive defense too and not for SR to get a bit of resistance?
Resistance could be added through both a "rolling with the punches" concept or a "iron bone training" type of concept.
Also, your notion that equivilent powers are the same is false on its face.
I hope you don't really feel that making every set equally equally desirable doesn't by definition entail making them carbon copies. If you do, I would say you have some thinking to get done. -
If they cut the act time of mental blast by like 1-2 secs and made subdue a minor damage root (ie roots 100%), the set would be great imo.
It is great anyway.
I am 11th lvl with my new rad/psy, and I have 6 slotted mental blast because all I have are mental blast, lance, and scream. I passed on subdue, figuring I would save a power choice that way. I committed to mental blast, and it's ok for what it is. I guess I just don't expect a lot from it. I have nice rad debuffs, so I can often use the psy lance in the fray, which is nice. Also, the cone range of psychic scream is out of this world. I think it might be bigger than tentacles.
