I've been looking at your bizzaroland art too much. When I first saw the picture I thought, "Hey, isn't LoV a girl...? Oh, waitaminute... right... bizzaroland... Got it."
Great piece! Congrats TA! -
Niiice muscle definition and lightning! The sunrise compliments the piece well. I like it.
[edit: Just out of curiousity, how did you do the lightning anyways? In brief, I know I'm never happy when I try to freehand the look of lightning.]
[edit2: By freehand I mean pencil and paper. I'm color challenged, so I avoid photoshop. :\] -
Wow, a very slick and clean pic! I really like what he did with it.
I have to admit, what currently has up on his main page is funny:

We're renown for our voratious apetite for art. -

So, I just arrived home from Emerald City Comic Con and see Battlewraith completed my Oniwanban no Shoujou commission. Freaking awesome. Excellent weekend over all ^_^
Now, the point of the thread. Any one who has been to a convention probably knows about artist alley. A fantastic place to view wonderful artists works, purchase prints, sketchbooks, and or course, sketches ^_^ So, I went to the convention with evil intent this time around. I present to you...
The true secret behind Thors Assassin's great power! That's right folks, his armor is powered by kittens! The only energy source great enough to create that much static charge, and inherently cute enough to compel all those artists to draw him. It was a toss up between kittens, and tons of money pouring out >_> ((Sketched by the over talented, over worked Milton Cadogen))
And please don't ask me what compelled me to have this drawn...it arose from a discussion with the artist, James Dean Smith, creator of Boris the Bear. I give you, gender bender Roxstar...Because I am slightly mad...you should all be glad I cannot draw myself, because the forums would be flooded with these things.
And, I figured I should have something for one of my own characters, but as if by some divine retribution for the other two images, the sketched turned out slightly off >_> D and D, the Designated Drivers of the super group Bottoms Up. Unfortunately, from this screenshot, on my tiny PSP screen, Milton couldn't tell Mistress Noires and my characters were female...and I didn't stick around to watch that sketch, so...heh, I am my own worst enemy ^_^

Bahahahaahahh!!!
Sooo lucky I wasn't drinking anything at the very second I opened those... soo very... very... lucky... *snicker*
Btw, I do want to echo how cool it is that you'd get other people's characters drawn. Very cool. -
I find the title of this thread to be incorrect and misleading... these aren't bad at all!
Your newest one with Paragon Wild is your best so far. The style looks just like the one from the Superman cartoon. -
Actually, that's what it looks like for Tankers and Scrappers. Brute Invulnerability is different than what is available hero side. Basically, instead of being glowy/shiney, it's a dark black aura. You could always make a character and get to level 2 quick to unlock Temp Invuln. The rest of the powers have the same basic look.
[edit: If you make a character just to see what the aura looks like, skip the tutorial. I think it takes 10 kills to go from 1 to 2. Shouldn't take anytime.] -

Thanks, that one worked for me.
Now if only I knew why the "publish" option didn't... Grr....
[/ QUOTE ]
You have to buy a license code to activate the publish option.
However, you CAN publish to Hypercomics, which is all that's required for the contest.

Which I do not want to do. I have this weird objection to posting my creative works on other sites like that. I'm not sure if I'm being paranoid or what, but I just don't feel comfortable doing that... -

The link we have for the specific Comic Book Creator version (that has logos in the pack) can be had at http://coblitz.codeen.org:3125/d2.pl...rd_1215_en.exe

All submissions must be recognizable as consisting of screen shots from City of Heroes or City of Villains. Editing or moderation such as applying filters or other artistic adjustments are fine, as long as the content remains recognizable as consisting of screenshots from the games.
[/ QUOTE ]
I can read this a couple ways:
1) Your submission must utilize screenshots in it. For example, we can draw our characters and use the screenshots as backgrounds.
or
2) Your submission must be made solely of screenshots. You can modify / tweak the screenshots (such as adding a chest emblem, smoke, etc), but not add entire characters / scenes outside of screenshots.
I'm leaning towards #2. My logic? It will keep people with artistic talent from completely overpowering those without. Someone like DarkJedi would be limited to the same materials that we would be limited to. It would be a more even playing field, so to speak.
A clarification on exactly what is allowed would be much appreciated. -

Wow, that's an amazing piece! I'm always awed by the group shots people do here.
As an aside, I never thought DB was that tall! For some reason I always thought of her as a shorter build. -
I feel a little guilty about it, I honestly didn't even know you were running that contest. I just clicked on your gallery and snagged 1055.

Thanks guys.

As for the two things... uh... isn't she in stiletto heels, usually?

...D'oh! Three things! -
...Invincibelle!
I was just feeling an artistic groove and happened to stumble upon Buck's art gallery, and off it went from there.
Comments and critiques welcome. I fully expect to be called out on at least two things in particular. -
Welcome back CJ!
(And dang, I still love your style.)
[edit: Hey! You only linked to the WIP version of Atillita.]

Graver is sick when it comes to paying attention to details. In a good way! -
Graver, you never cease to amaze! That is purely epic, and as Gill said, your short descriptions just make it better. I really don't know what else to say... BillZ sure did get a masterpiece.
-
Just look at all the detail on that... *twitches* Very, veerry good stuff!
PS: Your second link has an extra "http" at the end of it, it should be pointing here! -
I do believe you meant to link to this page, right?
