  1. Thanks E for bringing me and my son in last minute. I wasn't sure if I would be able to make it with the craziness that is my schedule these days. Plus, we had to make a side trip to the ER last night before logging in because my son broke his foot on the way to get his hair cut. That boy will do ANYTHING to avoid getting a hair cut!

    Anyway, it was a really fun run. Fire Fix gained two levels. We killed most everything we could get our villainous claws on and sped quickly through the missions. Thanks Matres for leading the team. May I suggest a different team name?

    Doing this TF in under 5 hours is amazing to me. I once did it with a PuG in 10 hours...Oiy!

    I had a great time. It's been eons since I stayed up that late playing CoX or otherwise, and I only had to get up and wake myself up once!

    I recently rolled a grav/storm. Not a whole lot of damage, so this is definitely a toon you will have to play with in a team.
  14. Hey Luna. J's computer didn't come in on Friday, and I'm not sure if he will be home in time to accept delivery today. I had taken the day off from work, so I could be home when UPS delivers it. The stupid credit card company declined my purchase because they thought it was a fraudulent transaction. They've done this to me two times in a row now. Geez! Just because I don't use my credit card that often doesn't mean that when it does get used it's auto-fraud.

    Anyway...I'll keep you up dated with what's going on.

    This. Pre-I14 the laptop was running "okay" and that's being somewhat generous. The graphics were horrid and the lag was sometime obnoxious, but for the most part, the game was playable. Post-I14, the laptop freezes and crashes on a regular basis. I can only guess how the Rogue Expansion will affect it, but I can't imagine the new CoX engine being any gentler.

    Quite honestly, unless a lot of people weenie out, I think we're going to be running 4 teams Monday night. It's a bit unusual for me to get that many sign up's the first day I post the list. We already have 3 full teams as it is. I've expanded the list for a fourth team already

    A guy I have been teaming with recently recommended Newegg in addition to everyone here, so I decided to check it out. The system you purchased is identical to the one he gave me a link to, and the one I decided to buy.

    I've been tracking it through UPS, and it should be delivered tomorrow.

    This is my thought as well. Once I saw the announcement this morning about the Expansion Pack, I knew I was going to have be more proactive in replacing my son's laptop.

    ...and that's the thing too. He has a laptop now, so I will have to get him a monitor, etc. I'll look at that link to NewEgg.

    I agree the second build would be best if not for the video card, but unfortunately that was the best one offered with that particular package.

    Wow! Sounds like you had a terrible experience with Dell! I've been using my laptop for a couple of years now, and the couple of times I had to call for tech support, I always got someone knowledgeable and surprisingly easy to understand (The last time I called their tech support was in the Phillipines). I really like the fact that I could call them 24/7 whenever I had a problem.
