You mean Xavou yes that's me. I do know I was on Test 1 hmm does seem to be missed labeled. Could also be missed labeled for Antoinette her friend was on test 1 but labeled as test 2.

Just Tried to recreate the cross server teaming had someone on Training room 2 and I was on Training Room 1.

We tried to invite each other using Global name and Character names. Both failed. We became Global Friends and Tried that way thinking it might be only for friends. again fail.

So the cross server teaming so far seems to be an error or a misunderstanding and they were on the same server.

The system might still see things as *Hero 1 from server 1 and Hero 1 from server 2*. This could be something else we could test. See if two people can make the same name on both tests then team up on the same team.

So anyone willing to crash there systems to see what happens?

Lets not get our hopes up after all it's still unknown if this was some kind of bug or not.

"Damn My songs have no effect on him! However!" He started singing again this time his focus was on Ildela, Paxtera, and Aineruda. Each one at a time but with the same effect of Fortitude. He chanted another song healing Aineruda's wounds. Then he spun and looked at Jade "I don't know about the rest of you but I say it's time to get that big guy up!" Before anyone could stop him he started another song. This song would Clear jades Mind refreshing his awareness. To what effect who knows but he hoped it was with Jade awake feeling refreshed and calm.

During this time one of the stone Golems acted. It charged Tafai with it's shield smashing into him then it lifts up that stone Battle Axe and attempted to chop at him with all the stone's might.

Just my Rotten luck. I bet they first attack my grave. Oh well I sign on for this why? Because it sounds like fun!

Blasters are high damage dealers long range but with a price. They are squshy! Be prepared to end up face down many times. If you want damage Fire is a heavy hitter.

If you want range with some buffs and heals try a Defender. Your damage might not be as high but you can boost the powers of teammates and heal when low on heath.

Now given you are new first rule is... What ever you learned in other MMOs leave behind your in the city now. All the ATs are fun to play but each have their angle, however none are 100% needed on a team. A team of all Blasters can work or all Scrappers or a mix of anything. A good team can work with any combo of AT types we aren't Dependant on the Tank Healer Damage Setup.

Rule two... With out buying extra Character slots you get plenty to try different AT types. So enjoy them all. I started as a blaster myself but my first 50 was a scrapper and my second (Still active) is a Tanker. The game play here changes with each AT and Powers chosen. A Dual Blade/Regen Scrapper is different then a Spine/Reflex scrapper. So mix and match to your style. Note my Tanker is Willpower/Dark Melee.
Second note a Spine Scrapper have some range in the attacks.

Rule Three Don't be afraid to ask for help. We are very friendly to newbies. Some of the highest populated servers are Freedom a popular one for new players. And Virtue the unofficial RPG Server. A Friendly server I played on is Guardian thought I moved to Virtue due to the times I am playing and the friends I had on Virtue.

The Stone Golems just stopped a bit stunned that their target wasn't where they were going. Then the yellow shirt gnome appeared and pointed at Tafari the Golems turned and started the slow run at him.

Aineruda's mental shields lasted only a short time from the attack. Then they dropped and she took the full force of his attack "Aghhhhh". This however was all it took for Lazardarus to snap out of the daze. "Lady Aineruda" He didn't physically attack instead he started singing one of his song spells. Just like all the times before anyone he wasn't focused on heard the singing but couldn't make out the words nor are effected by them.

Tafari on the other hand was who Lazardarus was focused on. The song spell threatened to entrap his mind Dominate his will to the point nothing else mattered. This of course depended on Tafari resistance to having his mind held in such a way. This might have given Paxtera the opening she needed to get Aineruda out of harms way.

Then there was the Freezing rain that seemed to only be falling on Tafari. Indeed he was standing in the very center of the rainfall the Sky sprites were causing.

I think using the system for Zombie Horde and the Rikti troops where they are white ,yellow, orange and so on. Should be used for all foe groups so a level 50 can still have some fun blasting Hellions. At the very least have it for all out door foes missions can still be Level based.

Me I always wanted to make a version of The Scarlet Pimpernel in the game.

The Copy right I believe is now out of date it's over 100 years old the play was first done in 1903!

However Many versions of the same character has came out and I am reluctant because I doubt I would pull of the character right. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to the characters I play. Thought I have been thinking of an AE story arc that based on the Scarlet Pimpernel.

Lady Aineruda then smiled in a wicked way "Besides it's not us you need worry about. Do you really think we protect this place with bows and arrows? It's those magical beings the Fey you need worry about."

Oddly it would seem the area was now clear of those fey until the ground started shaking and rock armored forms rose out of the ground some holding stone swords and shields as well as rock golems with gnomes riding the shoulders. The sky was growing dark with growing storm clouds swarming with the sky spirits.

"I'm afraid that Patches in itself is chaos. So you leaving or not wouldn't change matters." Lady Aineruda said as she looked at the android. "Seems we are having a lot of guests in our home. I'm Lady Aineruda a pleasure meeting you Toy dispenser. As for the higher being seeing us as toys I'm afraid many people believe that exactly what Patches is. Or more to the point was."

"Some being or beings long ago created Patches for their own reasons. For reasons unknown they left but the forces they put in place continue to rip places and people from their native realms and bring them here. Like I said some believe it so those beings could toy with lesser life forms. However I and some others believe it was for peaceful reasons. Hence why everyone can communicate to each other. What ever the reason was it now a battle field fighting for resources and food in most areas."

Cerelassion rubbed his chin "Hmm it seems she was fighting the change and when she lost her focus it took over fully." He took out a magnifying glass and looked over Trisys.

"If I gained a body again the first thing I do is eat something... Perhaps your right I don't want to be in his way when he wakes up ravaging hungry." Lazardarus said as he rubbed his chin.

Then all the elves turned at once to stare at Tafari. Lady Aineruda spoke up "STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING RIGHT THIS MOMENT!"

I can see a lot of Virtue characters going Rogue/Vigilante in order to RP on both sides instead of having to make a copy to do something on the other side of the law.

Two I be going Rogue/Vigilante right off the bat. A few others are an if depending on the fun of switching.

Lady Aineruda reached up and brushed a blob of mud off her cheek and faced Ildela "You weren't kidding about chaos following you. So your not an envoy well I would have to speak to these powers that be another time. It seems I have a dragon asleep in the middle of my city, and some answers could be given if we can wake the dragon. However I'm not foolish enough to do such a thing. So if you may excuse me the sky just happen to be falling and I have another mess to tend to."

She saw Tafari, Paxtera, and the charging guards she shook her head and lifted her skirt and ignoring the fact she was now splattered with dirt still moved with a regal grace. "Guards all of you get moving what ever crashed just now might start a fire! MOVE IT PEOPLE!"

The guards that were going for Tafari looked at each other then went over to the impact site of the android. Each moving to clear the area and make sure any ash wouldn't start a blaze. It seems that the guards thought following the orders of the High lady Aineruda was more important then figuring out a way to stop Tafari. With a look between Tafari and Paxtera, Aineruda sighed "Let me guess the only official at the gates was Commander Bregolien? He has a shoot first ask questions next week personality and sadly got that post only due to politics and not wit. Normally there be a council member at the gate however we were having a meeting a few minutes ago so all members were at the council chamber."

Lazardarus shook his head "Those isolationist going to kill us all with there stupidity." Laz went over to Jade rubbing his chin trying to think of how to wake him with out causing an instinctive reaction. "Hmm I think I can use a few song spells to wake him and calm him enough that he won't lash out at anyone when he wakens."

Cerelassion looked over Trisys "It seems your ears and finger tips are slightly different shade then the rest of you. Hmm can you feel this?" He reached down and took her hand poking at the finger tips.

The commander cursed "Never trust outsiders damn Lady Aineruda." He turned to a group of guards "Don't just stand there go after him." The guards started off running after Tafari.

Cerelassion looked at the spiritual magic residue and then to the others near Trisys. "Excuse me a moment." He went off a distance and removed his outer coat and a few rings and pendants. In other words he was removing Arcane artifacts Cerelassion was more of an alchemist then a Mage but still used the devices and spells. Then he returned to Trisys "Tell me do you feel .. er Well function better now?"

Meanwhile Lady Aineruda stood back up. "I'm alright now seems things are settling down finaly I'm Lady Aineruda high elf and head of the Elven council here at Riverbrook. I take it you are an envoy from the new city that appeared."

Another throwback or possible hint of future Origins having a bigger role can be found in the Rikti. Story wise Rikti are weak against magic hence Vanguard using mages and Magic/tech weapons.

To make things fair we would almost need two Origins choices a type of Dual Origin hero if you will. For example a Witch character defender using Magic to cast Empathy healing. To defend herself she uses a Natural Dual Pistol.

Another example of Dual Origin Hero is a Natural Assault rifle Blaster using Tech Devices.

Just to make things clear I DON'T want this I'm just pointing out that such would be more logical then the way things are.

The Commander grumbled "new comers" then louder. "Open the gates!" Then he looked down at Tafari and Paxtera "Because you don't have an escort you need to wait in a cabin till one of the elven council members come to greet you."

The gates opened to allow passage the rest of the guards went back to their training sparing in a sand covered lot. Guard Commander himself came down and to Tafari "I can list three groups who would kill anything in this valley. One has attacked this gate with rams with out warning. If you seen your family killed by a sneak attack that came out of the blue. Well lets just say I have my reasons for being defensive. Now if you please follow me so we can close these gates before the Gre'shil get the idea to rush?" Then he turned and headed to a building set just to the right inside side of the Gate.

Cerelassion rubbed his chin "No need to thank us you were in need and it's just right to react. Giving life to the lifeless isn't easy and has a very high price I'm surprised you even exist still."

Lady Aineruda collapsed into the arms of a quick acting guard and was aided to a bench. "Someone fetch a healer!" Lazardarus ran over "It's alright she just over taxed herself lifting the ... dragon. Just give her a moment to recover."

One other thing is that as it is now Origins are kind of broad strokes. But that's good.

Lets look at magic.

Selandra Mooncatcher is a Cabal Witch character of mine. Not only are her powers Magic based her agelessness is a result of the Redcap magic. So she's Magic/magic origin?

Rotten Luck my 50 Willpower/darkmelee Tanker is a Zombie. He wouldn't care about spells or magical nick knacks. He is because of Magic he doesn't use it directly.

Lets not forget all those Vampires (Magic ones not the Council science based Vampyri), Demons or like with Infernal that uses Demon Binded weapons.

All are magical Origin but all are different twists on what is a basic idea. Yes it's technically form the RP standpoint but still why would a Zombie care about spell books... Okay I take that back I'm involved in a Rp where Rotten hunting down the spell book used to make him.

The point is by being open as it is we aren't limited to concepts. One of the best things I love about this game is that we have so much to make characters concepts with. Why else have such a huge customization if not for the building of our Heroes/Villains? If we start with Origins then why not Costume Armor? Shouldn't they have greater defenses? and so on and so on...
