  1. i tried a couple of Beam/* toons, even beam/rad, i deleted bearm/rad because i realized that spending 6 seconds to cast anchors on stuff that some noob will kill before i get to pew pew, is infuriating.

i switched to beam/sonic and its amazing. put the anchor on the tank, sheild your team (which apperently is an aoe now!), then spend the rest of the time in pew pew mode.

if a particularly hard dude shows up, your tier 1 -res click puts him in his place. and from what i can tell, it stacks with the -res anchor you place on a teamate, for like -40% res or some crazy number.

the best part about /sonic, is most if not all the skills, require very few slots to be made super effective. . . like 2 or less...

which means all slots back into your pew pew!

just make sure you 3 slot your anchor with end reds...
  2. its not so much that their attacks are slow on average, its just the style does not look condusive to building fury with light/fast attacks, then blowing your aoes for maximum damages.

with what ive seen, you have to use a full combo of high end attacks to get a decent spam of powers to help build fury.

while it doesnt look detrimental to Brutes, it does LOOK inconvenient. perhaps im wrong and fury is a non issue with the set.

but now that Hopeling pointed out shadow meld, and taking a closer look at things, i think i like shadow meld over darkest night anyway. darkest night i would pretty much have to know in advance if i will need it, and deal with not killing the anchor(though i will miss the -dam). and shadow meld is a nice ability that i can use when ever as a clutch ability. its a shame both of the cast times are 3 sec.

Over all, i think i wont regret making titan/energy a scrapper.
after making half a dozen brutes i really need to change it up a bit.
  3. Looking forward to titan weapon, i just finished lvling a StJ/WP Brute and decided that i should switch up the secondary for a titan weapon toon.

after looking at the animations, I got the idea that i should go scrapper so i wouldnt be held down by questionable rage generation.

but after looking at the epic pool choices for scrappers, i became really disapointed.

due to /energy not having any -def res, i was planning on using soul mastery's darkest night to keep me soft capped even through -def. Not only do scrappers not have that, they dont get anything that makes me go "ohhh, that'd be nice".

    My questions are:
should i got brute for darkest night? or will scrapper crits out weight that ability.
will i have soft cap issues as a scrapper?
is rage generation noticably bad with Titan?

So your effectivily multiplaying the total HP of the MM, and multiplaying the effectiveness of any aoe heals for that MM, i see this being little more then a small buff, i see great things now for a properly build MM in the right hands.
