  1. I'll throw in Rhynwa (just about anything - base building, defendering, tour guide to the zones, whatever) or Donkey Punc... errr... Black Jack Casse (villainside, as above, but also throw in "How to make costumes look like critters")
  2. Gratz! Gratz! Gratz! and one for your wife... GRATZ!
  3. I am heartbroken at the lack of response. Sentai Sage is no longer fulfilling my every request immediately, and my demand for pickle-glazed zucchini donuts, which clearly EVERYONE wants, has been ignored despite sending Sentai Sage and everyone he knows 12 PMs a day.

So I will stop eating donuts, and look forward to the day when cheese danishes are available. I understand that cheese danishes are currently being made from linberger cheese and thus stink, but at least THEY will listen to my requests. I think.

Or maybe I will turn to waffles. Waffles will not meet any of my needs or requests, and sure there is only 1 flavor, but everyone else seems to be eating them and you can stack waffles higher than donuts.
  4. Dark/Dark is my favorite, hands down - my first 50, my first defender and my all-around go-to girl. My other debuffer, a Rad/Psy, just didn't quite live up to the fun of my dark/dark, but still very enjoyable to take out for various TFs. Overall, I think I prefer the debuffers as they feel more active to me in a fight.

Now, I DO like buffers as well... for my favorite, it is a split between my sonic/elec and my emp/sonic. My sonic would be far and away my favorite as a /sonic, /rad, /psy or /ice - Electric was an unwise choice (just no synergy for me) but by the time I realized it, I didn't want to re-roll... The sonic gives me a consistent play style: Buff in between fights, then mix it up with primary powers (sonic siphon, liquefy and the hula-hoop of DOOOOOM)and secondary blasts. The emp plays a little more unbalanced for me (but FUN), since you can really end up flip flopping between riding your secondary and riding your primary at a moments notice: buff, shoot, shoot, shoot, buff, shoot, shoot, OMG! heal, buff, heal, heal, heal, buff, heal... shoot, shoot, buff, shoot, shoot, buff, shoot, shoot, buff, buff, AHHHH! Heal, heal, heal, buff, heal, shoot... amusing AND fun :-)
  5. And yet what ABOUT the fillings? Will there be more options, or are we permanently stuck with "Jelly". Can we even just get the low hanging fruit jellies? Like blackberry and blueberry... It's not like we are asking for kumquat or anything. And do I HAVE to have chocolate on my filled donuts? Can't I have powdered sugar, or sprinkles?
  6. You failed because you did not have the Donkey! Heeeheeeheee.

Kudos on *recruiting* enough to try!
  7. Happy B-day! May you day be filled with fun, and your cake be filled with men... :-)

    MA Arc Ideas?

A Benny Hill Mission... Make 15 AVs that look like Naughty Nurses. Make little bald men (and fat middle-aged men) ambush at 75% health, and make them rogue so they will attack the Nurses too. Then, make the Nurses run at 50% health (make them NON-mission objectives). Put it on a small outdoor map and Voila! Actual objective... rescue a nice lady, who only spawns after all the nurses have run off...
  9. Some suggestions of events:

    -Superbase tours of Triumph
-Zone 'tours' of cool things (like the spiffy underground tunnel in Talos, some of the cool statuary, etc.)
-The 'Propel Scavenger Hunt' - go find the location of the cool distinctive things that propel throws - the globe, some of the statues, etc.
-Skeet shooting competition in the Hollows... get a lvl 50 with power thrust slotted for KB, and a teleporter. Get the newbs (requires ranged damage) up top in pairs, call "pull" and knock the hapless victim/hellion off the roof - the newbie who actually kills the hellion (or does the most damage before he lands) wins the round. Rinse, repeat.
-hold a 'repel ball' match (in the arena with the newbies observing - although participation is encouraged). Needs: an open indoor map; 1 mastermind (preferably dark) to summon the 'ball' (ie zombie) and 2 teams - must be kins, grav or FF with the repel fields (hurricane has lost too much of it's repel goodness). The two teams using ONLY the repel fields try to maneuver the zombie through defined goals on either end. Chances are great that players will also go flying - silly but mucho fun (and a good use of secondary builds).
  10. Arc Name: The Golem
    Arc ID: 205417
    Faction: Heroic
    Creator Global/Forum Name: @Rhynwa
    Difficulty Level: easy/Medium

Synopsis: The local Jewish community is having trouble with the 5th Column - but there seems to be an even deeper, more sinister secret...

Estimated Time to Play: 15-30 minutes (depending on team makeup)

More Details: Can be soloed readily. Despite it being listed as "very long" there are mostly short maps. This was written for the story (and to bug Sun Splitter) but it is a nice quick romp. No AVs, but 1 EB and 1 "other"...

    I am going

No, no. You have that wrong Karl...

Obsidius used YOU to kill Snow Globe. Using his sneaky skills with language (and your... ahem.... 'ocassional' love affairs with Jaegermeister), he simply said:

"Snow-Globe believes that prohibition was good... "

"...for black markets and corruption." But you just didn't wait long enough to hear him out. And THAT is how Snow Globe died.

I tried PBU, didn't like it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The truth is that I don't use PBU very often. Heck, I don't use Conserve all that often... but when running against tough AVs, especially solo, both come in very useful. This is also why I prefer conserve over powersink or dark consumption - I need my end back usually when there is only 1 really tough critter left, and both of the other two rely on many enemies around.

And, again, your play style strongly affects you epic choices, ESPECIALLY for D3s! A D3 can be one of the best controllers in the game, they can be one of the best debuffers in the game, they can run the beautiful balance point in between. They can even pull off being something of a lower damage, but very safe blaster (Deflaster? Blafender?) - and a lot of this D3 'flavor' can be enhanced by your epic choice.

    Hamidon Raid?

Absolutely, Cath - love me my raids!
  14. Rhynwa

    Hamidon Raid?

With MA having come out, there has been a low interest in the raids. Also Cath and I have been busy (and no one else has offered to run one of these). But he and I are both getting itchy for Jello-shots...

The coffers are low on EoE, so we would need to get enough people interested to actually do a few EoE runs and THEN get a raid up and running... but Real Soon Now (tm).
  15. Depends on your style. I always take the armor no matter the set - but players choice, obviously.

Going Dark epic puts you INTO melee. If you like that play style, you'll love what the dark epic does for you. Oppressive Gloom stuns minions/lts around you (making you safer), you can Souldrain and Nuke - wheee - and then recover end from anything left standing (after a tasty blue candy) using Dark Consumption.

If you like to flavor your dark/dark towards controlling, Psychic might work best for you - it is full of wonderful controls... a (better) hold that you can stack with, sleep, confuse, and TK which is always fun.

Electric I personally don't feel the synergy. A little more stun if you are looking to stack it with Howling/Dark Pit, but it is lackluster. The ST immob can stack with Tenebrous if you have a particularly pesky AV, but I would rather let Fluffy do the stacking... Powersink is sweet, don't get me wrong, but I rarely need end that badly.

I went Power, because the PBU is supersweet for fear, healing, holding through to upping the damage. I also have a tendency to end drain myself in LONG fights (ie AVs, with no high damage AT on my team), so Conserve suits me very nicely. I prefer to use my cones, which requires a distance outside of melee to catch everyone but if you really, really just HAVE to smack someone around, total focus is a nice finisher :-)
  16. SUN SPLITTER @ HH for... wait. No. That's just not right. I would never force a SUN SPLITTER on you HH.

so... LOL @ HH for using a tongue-smiley next to the sentence "Fallenz is...easy"

Snowstorm is a waste except on hard targets.

    [/ QUOTE ]

...Or flying targets. It IS very nice for dropping whole spawns out of the air. Also, if you are playing with a team that specializes in generating slows (ice tanks, certain controller sets) it can contribute.

But typically I don't use it. End intensive, slow to cast for low benefit.

    I disapprove of these messages.

I approve of Karl's disapproval of the approval messages.

    Emp/Sonic

What would you take in place of shout? Shriek and Scream give you 2 ST attacks - do you use Screech (or whatever the stun is) as a third ST attack?
  20. Rhynwa

    Sun Splitter?

The slacker has been playing WoW and Rock Band... he hates us all!
  21. OK, with the specific consideration that this for Mothership raids, I would AVOID the nuke! No matter which one, it will leave you depleted of end - which means no delicious, delicious bubbles of any type. Just say No Nukes!

And again, ONLY because you want this guys for Mothership Raids, consider taking Aid other, Stimulant and Resusitate from the medicine pool - predominantly for the empaths and other bubblers standing around in the healing 'dome'. When they start going down, the raid wipes.

DO plan on doing damage (power sets as discussed above), but keep an eye on your fellow support staff as you do it.

I took my sonic/elec defender to a raid - a smallish one with 3-4 teams, and to my amusement, was able to keep most of the raid shielded and most of the squishies clear minded. No, I didn't even blast once, but I had a heck of a time - and got the 'MVP' award by popular demand! heeeeheeeheee. Realistically, I enjoy the combo of caring for the squishies (no matter what team they are on) and my team, but also laying down the debuffs and attacks too. No matter what, though, I expect you will have fun :-)

    Sun Splitter!

Happy Un-birthday... since I am 2 days late or something...

Hope you got so drunk you couldn't remember why you were drinking in the first place! heh.
  23. Arc Name: Old MacDonald Bought the Farm
    Arc ID: 131480
Length: Short (One mission, lots of custom critters)
    Morailty: Neutral
Diffuculty Level: Either solo on low rep or run a FULL team on high rep. Very tough for a PUG, tough for a small good team, fun for a large decent team... 5 AVs
Estimated Time to Play: I think 30 minutes would be reasonable - very dependant on team make up.

NOT a farm map - but rather a mission that takes place on a farm... where Crey have place "fertilizer" that has affected the animals. Mobs are tough, AV's tougher, and the puns are lethal...
  24. LOL @fallenz for wanting to be handled by both HH and Barbie - in full sight of everyone on the forums
  25. LOL @ Cath for making that comment - and then finishing it with an open-mouthed smiley
