  1. With a little bit of practice, you can also adjust how deep into the floor you put the plants so that you can vary their heights. Place a safe (room details tab) from the underneath view. Slide your tree up the side of the safe to different heights and slide your tree to its final spot Two notes: keep the camera looking from underneath and don't touch the walls or it will pop back up to floor height. By varying the tree and plant height (4 different heights counting the lowest to floor level), you can get a slightly more forest-y feel. Use the dirt piles and the small cracked/mossy blocks (arcane tab) to hide the few edges of planters...
  2. lol@KB for being too young to use the word 'old' in a sentence.
  3. I also want information about the supposed up-coming 'Going Glazed' expansion! To be able to take my plain donuts and glaze them, or to take my glazed donuts and scrape off the icing interests me. Will there be a sprinkles option? If I have a donut that already exists can i then use it in the new expansion? If I have a glazed donut, and scrape off the icing, can I re-glaze it later? Will all the little glazed and un-glazed donuts be found in the same shop, or will they remain separate? Can the newly glazed donuts be eaten in the normal Sentai Sage Donut(tm) game?

PoS! Did you not listen to anything I said? Those WERE lessons on the mysteries of the universe!
  5. lol@Sentai KB, Beta, Cath, Karl, Sun Splitter and myself for allowing this thread to focus for more than 1 post on Sun Splitter. Shame, shame on all of us. Especially Sun Splitter.
  6. lol@Sun for calling *anyone* a n00b, let alone a 'nub'.

    Just an idea....

Posted to the HUB boards and emailed 10 friends who play. I will change the HUB MOTD this evening. That is best *I* can do for spraying this info widely...

You might want to get Emerald Fusion to post to the Grand Coalition boards.

    Just my two cents.
Well... that depends on the base. Heh. Mine is 100 times worse than most of the WW (except Talos and maybe Atlas), or the AE anywhere but Atlas.
  13. I *like* taking the leadership toggles on my defenders - even the debuffers. SkeetSkeet hit the nail on the head: A buff to you and a debuff to them are NOT the same, when they can resist your debuff...

Maneuvers is a little expensive on my dark, but in the team defensive build I have, I took Shadowfall slotted for def plus maneuvers. Does a nice +12-13% defense for everyone near-ish to you. This a build for Mothership raids, heavy AV content or anytime your debuffs just aren't being as effective as they ought to be. Normal PvE content, I don't use it.

Assault I like because I like doing a little extra damage. As do tanks, trollers, scrappers, blasters and Khelds... More damage is never too much :-) This one is also pretty cheap (end wise) to run.

Tactics I like for the reasons above. Less accuracy is needed in the enhancements; blinding mobs are not incapacitating, etc. And also, I like knowing that I am going to hit the +3 to +5 mobs regularly, as opposed to being limited to even con content.

Vengeance is great - when I remember to use it.

Typically, I will run only assault and tactics on my defenders unless there is a special reason to use maneuvers, or to take veng.
  14. But now you know what I am wearing for the Triumph picture tomorrow, Karl. Top hat, gloves and boots. That is all...
  15. Well I have a... ummm... wellllll....

    I have a Mall.

For the post-production party I guess.

(Almost repaired from the 'SG symbol repair' fiasco!)
  16. I think that you are wasting the slots in health... slot the miracle proc for more recovery. Then instead of sonic cage, put in screech - which I think everyone should have anyway - it is a great stun AND does the largest -resistance for the longest time in the entire sonic blast set. Put Stupify for at least 2 slots (another 2.5 recovery) all the way up to 6 (if you can find another slot) to get 3.13% ranged def - to (mostly) replace the Numina's ranged def. Stupify is MUCH cheaper than Numina and Screech gives you a much more useful power to have slotted out. Or put in 2 Stupify, and 2 from the purple set (Absolute Amazement - cheaper than Numina's!) to get 2.5% recovery + 4% recovery... overall this VERY much helps your end issues, and again gives you a very useful power.

    Triumph Bases

    SG Name: Pandimentional Defence Force
    Global Contact: @Rhynwa
Base Layout: The New Mall of Overbrook
Base Information: It's a mall. Seriously. With a secret entrance to the small supergroup meeting and monitoring rooms and the 'aerial arrival' parking bay. Has enhancement storage for all the players (we have a very small player base) and all the amenities.

Oh yeah - I almost have it back in working order after the SG symbol 'bug fix' destroyed most of the decor. Sigh. Just have to do all of my glass windows. Again. From scratch. Sigh.
  18. I actually went with huge defense, mostly AoE, but great defense overall. Easy to do with IOs (I think it is reactive armor that is for resistance, but gives defense). This means I rarely get hit, and then my awesome resistance takes over. Less getting hit means more often the toggles stay functional (I went on an LGTF before the no-toggle-drop change, and I rarely lost the mez protect bubble despite the huge amount of sleeps flying around). This makes playing a 'squishie' fun!

Secondarily, I went recovery. I run the Dispersion bubble, the hulahoops, my epic shield, maneuvers (<-- more defense) and tactics, combat jumping, and I blast away. Endurance becomes a precious, precious thing ;-)

This worked out well for me, but ymmv...
  19. lol@3Mile for risking the word "innuendo" in a comment to Karl...

You fool, you have doomed us all!

And yes, I DO have HUGE... font sizes, thank you.
  20. LOL@Cath for his HUGE...

font size for his list of 50's
  21. That was great, Cath! Fun and demented, just like it ought to be!

Pretty much... You set a time and place for the tour group to meet (like the portal in PI) and you play pass the star. For tours on other servers, you make a lvl 1 toon named "Tourist" or "Base viewer" or any of a number of silly names, and you hop in. I have always enjoyed going on base tours. Having a guide (namely the builder) means you don't miss out on some of the more special, but small, touches in design or 'function'.

    I am trying! *click*click*click* Bah.
  25. Now to be fair I have only just started my storm/dark, but I have play both sets individually to 50, so here are a few suggestions:

Gale has a terrible to hit rate with no consequential damage with just kb working for it. Torrent is another cone knockback with no significant damage. I find much better directional control with hurricane. However, if you MUST have 1 of the cone KBs torrent is better... by a little bit. Truthfully, I would skip both...

I find I like the O2 boost as mez breaker and a quick shot of HP until the teammate can take care of themselves. Even if you drop it later, it is nice to have while leveling up.

Blasts should be slotted as *you* like, but I find *I* prefer to 5 slot them to get max effect.

Getting both snowstorm and Steamy Mist before stamina will be painful... very. Just keep that in mind.

I would seriously skip dark pit. You aren't taking anything else to stack with it, it is only mag 2 with a huge end cost and recharge time for low benefit. It is only really good when stacked with another aoe stun.

I would STRONGLY recommend getting stamina as early as possible - especially before hurricane (and considering the number of toggles you will end up with, plus the big ticket items like lightning storm, you will appreciate this).

Oddly, I would suggest a different epic pool. There just isn't a lot PBU will do for you as a Stormy, other than increase your own damage (so not bad - but assault from the leadership pool can do that to a lesser degree all the time - and it will help teammates too!). Oh wait - I see you are taking Blackstar... PBU would be just fine. Total Focus is questionable... If you are running Hurricane, you simply can't TF a mob! Now, depending on your play style, if you use Hurricane as the emergency back-up system, TF is ok. If you run Hurricane 24/7, then drop TF like the hot potato it is. Temp invul is a perfectly acceptable toy. If you do take this epic, I would suggest getting conserve power, because this puppy looks to be a bit end hungry...

Now, if you ARE going to nuke a bunch, and you are keen on the Dark Pit, consider taking the dark epic. You get the AoE stun aura (Oppressive gloom) which WILL stack with Dark Pit. You get Dark consumption for recovering end AFTER the nuke and you get Soul Drain for +acc and +dam before the nuke... This means you can Tenebrous them in place, drop the freezing rain, run in and stun them with aura, throw soul drain as build up, dark pit to be SURE that they are still stunned post nuke, blackstar, take a blue, dark consumption, clean up the pitiful remains... :-)
