Well there's already a villain with wings, so don't see why it's gonna be a problm with samurai armour

Great ideas, hope the devs see this.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Apparently samurai armour raises more envy than the wings
And thanks - I hope so to.

Hmm.. Before i say anything more, i must state that i like your suggestions.. But i think some noobs will be mad that the NPCs get samurai armor before them..

    [/ QUOTE ]

Aw come on - who knows who long that particular NPC has been active? And besides, it's a wellknown fact that all the NPCs cheats when it comes to powersets and such - why not when it comes to costume parts as well?
At any rate, I just thought that the samuarai pieces were rather fitting for that particular Hero.
  3. The Seventh Cabal will never surrender! We are still hanging in there even though our membercount seem to fluctuate a bit.

But then again.. It would make me wanna kick his [Censored] even more then..

    [/ QUOTE ]

See - even better - optimal villain formula discovered

Not sure if i like Morgloom... He reminds me of a nightmare i had last night.. Creepy as hell..

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well that would certainly qualify him as a suitable villain then

I really like the effort you put into the characters (especially Clawhamer GREAT costume), only thing that kindoff gets to me is Demolition Lady, i find the name a bit hard to "roll off the tounge"

    [/ QUOTE ]

It's hard to find something that everyone likes But glad you like most of them - the name "Demolition Lady" just sprang into mind when I thought about making a stone/stone tanker and it had a certain Silver Age ring to it, so I just decided to go with it.
Of course, were she a player toon, she would soon be called "Demo Lady" or "D-Lady"

    Very nice ones
I'm afraid El Diablo is taken by the ones who made the Freedom Force though

    [/ QUOTE ]

Heh - googlegooglegoogle - what do you know - didn't even know that there was a comic book character named that, just thought it sounded like a good name for a sword scrapper who was dealing out justice zorro-style
  8. Villain images (1680x1050 pixels)
Mr Murk - Necromancy/Dark Miasma MasterMind

Actually an old toon that I have deleted - but I thought the concept for him was to good to simply waste away in my screenshot folder as a fading memory

Very nice, well laid out and planned.
Where are people finding the blank background to do stuff like this?

    [/ QUOTE ]

The blank background is actually pretty easy in this case - I just accessed a server where i didnt have any toons and took a screenshot. Stuffed this into Photoshop and erased all the things i didn't like - and finally just made a mirror of the left side of the character selector and aligned this up to cover the various empty slots with just a bit of minor adjustments this looked just fine for this purpose.

Looks great... Maybe post a linky in the suggestions board for these, just in case the devs sees them.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Good idea - just did - you never know
  11. Alrighty - I'll just add a few Safekeep Mission Villain concepts every now and then as well
    First one:

    Villain images (1680x1050 pixels)
    Pheromona - Full Psionic Dominator
  12. Oh I might just be inclined to do a few villains as well
  13. Some time ago I suggested that the player base could be involved in adding new heroes to Mayhem Missions (original post) in the form of a content or somesuch.

I have been given this some more thought and as I just had an hour on my hands today for a spot of creative work, I've worked up some suggestions for how said new Heroes could look and what powersets they could have using screenshots and a bit of Photoshop magic

    More to come.

    Hero images (1680x1050 pixels)
    El Diablo - Sword Scrapper
    Ultra Girl - Electric Blaster
    Gang Crusher - Superstrength Tanker
  14. Gratz on that - surely a time to break out the virtual champagne
  15. I'm guessing that the achilles heel of the Inv set - the lack of psionic resist, it what makes it less popular? Elec has fairly good psionics resist.
Other than that, I would say I like my own Inv Brutes - especially after they made the aura of the set negative instead of that flaky disco light version from CoH

You know you can do something to get around those annoying sound-loop problems right? I did it for my Dark Armour Brute as the sound was driving me up the walls as the soundloop bug came back

There's a good guide for it here: Linkage

I've just started playing a Stone/Inv Brute, and have no sound problems there either - so you can achieve the sound of silence
  16. First update of the year:

Ah - a fresh new year is before me - a year as of yet untouched by vice or violence - I wonder what this new year will bring of new wonders and terrors.

My street contacts are telling me that a new "distribution grid" is being set up for black market deals - which could mean that it will be both easier to get the loot we pick up from here and there sold off, but perhaps also allow for access to new opportunities and upgrades. Could be exciting - for myself, I am keeping an eye on the "black market trucks" which should start rolling around the Rogue Isles within a forseeable future.

And I am still looking into the foretold return of the 5th Column - wether or not this has any substance remains to be seen, but there are certainly plenty of clues pointing towards this as a definate option.
Ah well - it would be an almost nostalgic fun to punch in the skull-like metal faceguards of the 5th Column again ... scratch that, it would just be plain fun.

But for now, looking back on 2006 it was a hectic year that brought me to a new pinacle of power - and what better way to end it, than to party out with a Dark Ringmistress in Pocket D? The Carnival of Shadows might be a bunch of crazed lunatics, but they sure know how to party like there's no tomorrow ... which of course there might not be, since the Ringmistresses have a tendency to bite the head of their mate just like certain female insects - so watch yourself in the more ... intimate ... situations with these sorotity girls from hell.
