But that maze base is AWESOME. I wouldn't think of it as a working base, though. You just need a more focused SG.
If I had a prime character only, I could deal with this but I have 7 characters and all the bases are similar is style(mazelike - designed to stop raids). I just won't be able to get anything done if I continue. In the above mentioned SG, I had to logout to get out of the SG. That's too much in my humble opinion.

I'm pretty certain that if you looked around for a better option, you'd find one that more closely matches what you want.

I just found it amusing that you came here complaining about other people's bases, and you wouldn't see how hypocritical it is that you're complaining that others won't redo their bases (and change their playstyle and/or goals) to meet your playstyle and/or goals.

It's really not worth getting this angry about. Find another SG and the problem is solved

I thinks it funny that you keep twisting my comments. I never asked any of the owners to change anything. I just commented on it. Angry isn't really the word that I would use to describe my feelings :-)
  3. We're just talking here but most of my powers are "quick" powers w/autotargeting(accuracy), long range with no windup. Lift, lighting bolt, power bolt, charge brawl, gravity distortion, crushing fields, static discharge, havok, fireball are instant powers. I will do a respec this weekend to remove the too long windup powers(propel and and maybe zapp).

If you're clearing, I could see how you'd be getting more shards than most see, but if you're running the usual speed runs, where someone goes and gets Penelope and TPs back to the front, rushes through the War Riders, lets the Mitos kill the Rikti in the Hami mission, lets Infernia and Glacia die, and then just skip right to the Honoree fight, there's just not enough killing to justify getting 10 shards a run without their being some kind of bug going on.

Also, try running several TF runs with a team of all 50s and see how you do.

I almost always get the most shards running ITFs. It's the one TF most folks are fine with clearing each mission, in my experience.
I never do speed runs. All clears....including the saves. Usually, I do it will all 50s but this week I had a few others because I advertised that way, LGTF LFM, 45 or higher.

Cryptic's demise(dismissal by Atari) reaffirms that F2P is a different class than paid subscriptions.
  6. Found it. I saved a copy but the game saved one automatically in the application folder. I'll post it in a minute after I rename it.
  7. Sorry folks after I played last night I saved this file and it had data. I uploaded it last night and went to sleep. I'm looking at my local and published online copy and they both have nothing in them. The file had 169 drops.
  8. I'm going to TRY to run another LGTF today/tonight. But I'm done till Friday. I will have stats from every session this weekend(4 day).

You'd hate the base for my teen SG on Virtue, which was designed to have no less than half of the plot taken up by sewers or abandoned subway lines with each expansion. The entrance to the actual functional area is hidden among the tunnels and sewer lines. There are tunnels that lead to dead ends. Hidden rooms and abandoned areas. It's not a base that you just jump into and know where everything is.

I'm sure that you think I'm a terrible SG leader and base builder for creating such a thing, I know. What could I possibly be thinking by making things so difficult for my SGmates? Why did I do such a thing? What makes me torture them this way?

Lemme clue you in on something. I built the base that they wanted, asking for their input because they can obviously earn a lot more Prestige than I do all by myself. I gave options and they wanted the ultra-complex hidden secret in the sewers. I wouldn't tear it all out because one person joined up and complained after the base was set up that way, at the request of the people who have earned the millions of Prestige spent to build what they asked for.

With all due respect, if you join an existing group, you need to understand that your lone concerns are not going to be the only priority. I'd recommend you look around for groups that actually do have what you're asking for, instead of complaining that everyone should redo their base to cater to what you think should be done.

Your belief that your view of bases is the only acceptable one is the problem here, not that other base builders are "bad leaders." Demanding an existing group redo their designs to suit you is what's truly "plain inconsiderate."

I sincerely wish you luck finding a group that has what you want. That would be your best course of action at this point.

I have two accounts. The NA is all solo SGs very fast loading. My Eu account is all other SGs. On my NA accounts I have rooms full of recipes/enhancements and salvage. I'm probably going to cancel out of all the SGs later this year on my EU account though. I play this game to make progress I'm not really an RPG player or a socialist. I have to get things done when I'm online.
  10. Other stats about my LGTF run tonight:

    TF was 2:03 minutes
    Lots of disconnects.
1st hour was horrible for several of us, we couldn't fly with the jet packs, I couldn;t use inspirations at times, or key in attack commands.

I think there might be 15 minutes of stats not inputed. I rebooted once, was kick/frozen three or 4 times.

I read about this/herostats briefly before I turned it on, I'm hoping the stats keep logging cumulative when I came back to the game.

I need to craft stuff now. I'll clear up other stuff related to this tomorrow.

Was the leader, got bumped during disconnect.
  11. I've got stats but for the last hour only( I started before I entered the LGTF and checked it), during the game the network traffic was so bad...I'll post the .hsd as soon as I can.

    Team: 8
    Team dropped to 5
    Team dropped to 6

    11-12 shards.

    Another apocalyse.

Third time was a charmer, go figure

Thanks for the update, I can't think of an F2P model specifically for COH.

You'll notice that when one of your teammates KOs something, it shows a message like "Teammmate_Name has defeated Enemy_Name!" followed by a line with the XP and inf rewards, and then any drops you happen to receive. HeroStats uses these lines to differentiate what defeats were made by you--you get a message that says "You have defeated Enemy_Name!"--and which defeats were made by your teammates.

While it doesn't matter WHO defeated the enemy, this is how HeroStats keeps a log of what got defeated and what rewards you got as a result.

Basically, it gives a total kill-count for your team, what you killed, and how many drops you personally received as a result. We can take that info and generate an actual kill-per-shard ratio, which can conclusively prove (over several runs, mind you) whether LGTF gives better rewards versus other content as you believe.

And no, it shouldn't cause any issues to run HeroStats at the same time as the Titan Sentinel. I run them both.
Will it record shard drops too for all team members? I'll run it tonight. Thanks.

I am hopeful you have the capacity to understand the difference between the two questions.
To make CoH F2P, the management teams of NCSOFT and Paragon Studios must sign an agreement. All other arguments are irrelevant.
  17. Just so there's no misunderstanding what stats do I need to track? I'm not logging my chat and I'm only doing in session stats. 5.8.0.0 is the version I'll be using.

I've used older versions of herostats and it only recorded my stats maybe the new version is different. I have it installed. Let me look at it again. If I go online. I'll turn it on. Will it cause problems with Sentinel? I run this every game.

If I understand this request clearly. I was suggested that I and all of my teammates should install herostats and record statistics, is this correct?

I replied to this. I cannot mandate that every player on every team I play on using herostats. That is unrealistic. I cannot comply with that request because it is unreasonable.

Well, sure... but what system of F2P are you suggesting?

A few people have offered starting points, but Frosticus and Voodoo have said those are too restrictive, yet they haven't explained and suggested any base for a model that would still pull in money and/or how the game would pull in money while giving so much of the game for free.

Again, I am actually interested to hear any such ideas. I'm not looking to shoot anything down. Just looking for something that counters what you've said isn't good enough, because it has to be good enough for the company, not just good enough to convince all these potential customers who are currently unwilling to pay (and there's nothing wrong with be unwilling to pay for the current gamesub).
Were beating a dead horse here. CoH because of it's paying subscriber base cannot fully participate in the F2P craze. They are not a match for F2P at this time.

CoX can essentially do w/e they want and the only lasting impact it will have on the mmo (let alone the entire gaming) industry is whether they are recorded as a decade long success, or a decade long success that tried new things.

But it sort of sounds like if cox had success with a new revenue model that one of the big game houses would come in and absorb (and bury?) them because they need to protect their price structure... If that is what you are saying it at least made me smile.
I'd expect a comment like that from you. All competitors affect the pricing power whether you understand that or not. It is the nature of competition/competitive pressure.
  22. Just to restate my original case. I felt the LGTF is the best for shards runs. I posted my weekly results to back up my claims. I have not see any evidence to the contrary. I get lots of talk about using hero stats or it's random but I've been getting these results since december. Go Figure. If you want shards, you should run the LGTF...that's my point.

I think this is the best purples TF in the game for collecting purples. Any comments? I consistently get 1-2 purples every run whether it's farm or speed.

(Did you see what I did there? I used one lucky example to describe a trend that may or may not actually occur (and yes, I did get two purples on that TF once. Both in the final room actually))
