I was thinking it would be nice to see what sorts of requirements a venue might need to meet. Y'know how much space, what sorts of facilities, that sort of thing.

I assume food & drink, but how many people would we be expecting/hoping for? Do we want gaming facilities? Do we want space for a LAN party?

I've been to the Dave & Busters in the South Bay for a buddy's bachelor party & the space wasn't that big. I think we fit a dozen or so guys around the table. I don't know if they had bigger rooms, but I remember walking around a bit & didn't see any place that could have been larger. Then again... I wan't really looking.

Not really a serious suggestion, but I think that since this would be in the Bay Area & Cryptic's in the Bay Area, it'd be really cool if the Meet & Greet was held on or near the studio & we could get a tour of Cryptic Studios. I'm sure there'd be all sorts of headaches to deal with and that's why the suggestion's not too serious. But if Cryptic/NCSoft could figure a way out to make it happen, I think that would make it a Meet & Greet beyond compare!

To be entirely honest, I don't know that you would have found Mexican food anywhere in California that would suit your taste. However, I do know that if there is any, I wouldn't start looking for it in Fremont.

Wasn't at the meet & greet, but I found out through other means that the plan at the time I heard about wings IS to have them move/flap to some degree. IIRC you'll see the wings flap when jumping up & dropping down.

Not being a chatty, inquisitive type I didn't ask for more details, so I don't know if this includes vertically rising & dropping while in flight mode.

Not in a group big enough to play around with the base creation stuff on live, but I did check it out in beta.

I believe the difference between hidden & secure base plots is in the types of rooms you can purchase. IIRC secure base plots allow you to buy rooms that can contain defensive items in addition to their main purpose. (Otherwise you can only place defensive items in the security hallways.) In beta, hidden base plots didn't let you purchase those kinds of rooms.

That's my recollection, someone with more current information should correct this if it's no longer true.

It seems relatively current as I heard a fair number of the terms from a guy I used to work with. IIRC he was middle-class, university educated, & from the London area. Sadly, I don't recall his mannerisms enough to help you out on most of your queries, but for your 4th item, I recall "Bugger!" being appropriate.
