Quote:Best. Conspiracy Theory. EVAR!It's the super-secret dev meeting place when they're in-game - it's where the Developer Hate Council first met to plan out I13 in all its chilling detail, and it's where marketing hold their in-game meetings to decide on what GR info to release at what time.
No one has ever actually seen anyone gathering there - but it has been rumored that the accounts of players in the area when these meetings were said to have taken place have been wiped, and the account holders themselves have disappeared. -
This seems like a suitable work-around.

Yes, it would collapse their income. 13.00 a month from 100 players (as you seem to think) totals up to 1,300 a month. Also, if the EU Servers were given free playtime, then a lot of players (both current and future), would head to the EU Servers, leaving a bigger gap in income.
Both, but I do not see what that has to do with my post. I was simply saying that it has been stated numerous times by the Devs that a Server Merge is very unlikely. I'm not against it, I'm just telling you what I was told. -
Is it possible to copy one mission and paste it into another?
If so, thanks in advance for helping me renovate my arc! -

In any case, here's another thought. Being able to select any NPC from the gladiator list you have is going to end with everybody always picking one specific pet, E.G. the one they think is the most powerful. At the same time, we can't have a system that creates overdpendency on the power to much. What if somebody specifically makes a hero or villain with the least possible amount of gladiator badges, and then specifically farms all of the boss-and-beyond gladiator badges in order to throw off an equally random selection process? A Shivan Decimator having the same chance of appearing as, oh say...A Lucent of Light is somewhat disconcerting, to say the least. Implement a system that acts more like a lottery, where getting NPCs gets harder the stronger they are.
Minions should stand the highest chance of being selected. All minions should stand the same chance at being selected as another minion. They should have a higher chance of being selected than lieutenants and bosses. They should be selected within the realm of 75% to 80% of the time.
Lieutenants, while not appearing as often as minions, should still appear frequently enough to expect them. All Lieutenants should stand less of a chance than being selected than minions, but a higher chance of being selected than bosses. The chance of any one lieutenant being selected should be somewhere around the 15% to 20% range.
Bosses should appear rarely. That is to say, somewhere within the region of 5% to 10% of the time. This way, they do occasionally appear, and when they do, fun is had by all. But most of the time, not so. -
Quote:I say we somehow organise an April Fools joke which sticks GG onto Union for the dayGG, I normally don't rise to your lamentable attempts to pitch server against server but just for once, ONCE, would it be possible for us to have a sane conversation about which server is more appropriate for this gentleman without your ill-informed and inflamatory contributions?
For someone who is generally helpful to the community I find your continual attempts to lambast any other server other than yours very disappointing.
And no, I don't give a flying whatever who's on which server. I just get tired of these kind of unhelpful comments. -

Belching IS a Nemesis Plot! Every time we belch, we release Nemesis' mind control gas into the Earth's atmosphere!
Thankfully Nemesis isn't a Nemesis Plot. -
Sounds good, as long as people can have a 'Allow Base Tour' option.

I like this suggestion, but as True Metal said, they can be OP.
Make them unbuffable and maybe weaken them depending on their rank? Sort of how henchmen work, I.E Tier One Henchies are always one level below you etc. -
1) Highly unlikely as it would lead to a collapse of income for Paragon Studios/NC Soft.
2) How many times do people have to be told that a Server List merge is unlikely to happen?! -
What I was thinking is maybe the Respec UI could do with a bit of a change.
Here's my proposal; have an option to do a 'Minor Respec' or a 'Major Respec'. A 'Major Respec' would be the classic Respec UI we have at the moment where you re-pick powers a power at a time. A 'Minor Respec' would have a similar UI to Mids' where you can just pick any power from a list of your powers to add/remove it. This would make replacing one power so much easier.
I'm not sure if this is possible, but just a suggestion. -

Quote:Sounds good to meDoes the story sound ok? That is only like 1/8 of what I had taken out originally >.> I put way to much detail into my copy here. I wanted it to play out like an epic adventure into the future... and I started writing the nesxt part to it, and that is way to big as well.

And we'll hold the ski slope ransom for ONE MILLION DOLLARS! <cue evil laughing>
If I am a winner, I permit NC Interactive, Inc. and NCsoft Europe Limited to use my name, likeness, photograph, hometown, and any comments that I may make about myself or this contest that I provide for advertising and promotional activities. I also certify that I am at least 13 years of age and am eligible to participate in this contest. -
I think that Union's great. Join Sals Badgehunters, they run TF's daily. Teaming, I find, is very easy

You can always wait until GR comes out since they're doubling the file size. Although, I say that'll be bundled in with i17.

Quote:You have officially won the forumsTo the OP - suggesting stuff is good and I welcome that.
However, melee archetypes fight, in, well, melee. As in arms length. Not ranged.
If you really want to play ranged and with weapons, try a blaster, defender, corrupter, mastermind or spider.
I notice you really seem to want defense as a secondary. If so, roll a spider (villain epic) they have nice defense powers to boot.
If however you continue to insist on scrappers with guns, then I will agree with Techbot Alpha, and raise the facepalm, in that this thread will need even more facepalm.
So here you go. MUCH MORE FACE PALM:

Quote:They might give us the heads up for it tomorrow instead of holding the actual thing? The problem with them doing a dev-lead event today or tomorrow is that they will hear untold amounts of complaints for not giving us a real heads up to players to plan for such a thing. I think Thursday is the traditional CoH announcement day though (amirite?). Totally going with the i17 announcement theory.
