I run a weekly open RP night at the Midnighters Club (Steel Canyon) at 8pm central on Thursdays.
We're a mystical group called Incognitus (part of the Paragon Universe SG). We meet, discuss recent events and other plotlines going on, and then head out to the AE for whatever RP arc we have for the night. Anyone is welcome to drop by and join in. (Heroes preferred). My character name is Raymond Prince (sometimes my alt Freedom's Arch Mage.. same person).
@Arch Mage -
WSPDR - Site of Conflict!!
This is Amanda Vines from WSPDR News! Some of you residents of the Cap may have had the misfortune of seeing a small army of Arachnos soldiers surrounding the WSPDR building. I met with several of them concerning an upcoming story that I am not at liberty to discuss at this time.
It is reported that the Arachnos units outside were attacked by a team they are calling the "Scope Squadron." This military unit was able to take out the majority of the Arachnos forces outside.
I was fortunate enough to speak with one of their members, a Technician Eugene, when he and his associates disrupted the conversations that I was having with Arachnos. A sweet, young man. He is a member of the Scope Squadron. From what I learned, they are some kind of military group operating here inside the Rogue Isles with interests in stopping Arachnos and Lord Recluse. Arbiter Earle wishes to go on record that this Scope Squadron is a threat to the Rogue Isles and that you are to report any sightings to Arachnos immediately!
I was able to overhear a few names of their members. Agent Blackmoon seemed to be the one in charge along with a few members Agent Trigger Happy and Agent Reisen. I did see the Rogue Isle's very own Dechs Kaison, but I cannot confirm or deny that he was with the Scope Squadron or in the building on other business. They were with a woman named Khaless, whom I've learned is a member of a supergroup called Incognitus in Paragon City.
Expect more information on this Scope Squadron in the future as I discover it!
(Amanda neglects to mention that Arachnos was there to kill her story concerning talks between Arachnos and Emperor Cole. In an effort to recover Amanda's evidence, the Scope Squadon is met by a Praetorian force led by Praetor Duncan. Any evidence of the meeting is lost.) -
(The purpose of this thread is to share your supergroup's (or villains) adventures with the rest of the server. Think of it as another method to let folks know about your RP nights and maybe attract more players. Plus, I'm interested in hearing about some of the other groups and their activities)

I was there with Freedom's Arch Mage.
I felt the meeting did what it was intended. I met and greeted people I didn't know. The frat boys showed up while I alted out and didn't sync with the character I brought so I left.
Like I told folks..
I host an event night at the Midnighter's Club at the Steel Canyon section on Thursday's at 8pm central. Anyone is welcome to drop by and join us. We meet and then go off on an IC adventure. (The group name is Incognitus, but like I said.. anyone is welcome)
@Arch Mage -
I lead a group called Incognitus. We are a sub-group of the Paragon Universe SG (we have a channel called, "Paragon Universe" that is public.
We meet at the Midnighters Club at 8pm central on Thursday nights (Steel Canyon section) and all are welcome to come out. We're actually meeting tonight. I know there is another group that meets there at 9pm central, but we're usually out saving the world as we know it by then.

Freedom's Arch Mage -
Quote:I use the Midnighters Club on Thursday nights (8pm central) for the mystical part of our SG (Paragon Universe SG). We meet to discuss whats been going on with each other and then some mystical threat seems to pop up that we have to go stop (our AE/RP arc of the week). I moved it there a couple years ago in order to be more accessible to anyone that might wander by and take interest.What about the Midnight Club? It has limitations - it's magic-oriented and you have to hit a certain level and run an arc to get in - but it has great atmosphere, it's legitimately co-op, and even on ITF week, it's not really that crowded. The tea-and-books feel couldn't be more different from the vodka-and-techno feel of the D. Somebody could use it to hold a symposium on arcane threats, for instance.
Anyone is welcome to drop by. My guy's name is Freedom's Arch Mage (a traveller from a parallel Earth that has made this one his new home)
@Arch Mage -
After Freedom hits, we'll have heroic MMS's at level 1. How about some classes to go with that?
Maybe a Police set? Longbow set? Faerie set?
The ones we have now are more geared for villains, with a few that could fit heroicly.
Anyone else agree? -
Fear the Walkind Dead!
(ok, that should have been Walking) -
The unthinkable has happened. . .
A Zombie Outbreak happened in Paragon City. Dozens of heroes were affected, and soon those dozens became hundreds! People were being warned to stay indoors. Longbow and Police were doing their best to contain the situation. Makeshift hospitals were put together to try and cure whatever was causing the outbreak. These efforts were to no avail.
The Zombies still possessed the superpowers of their host as well as their memories. However, their desire to feast on the flesh of humans and superheroes, has overtaken any sense of morals or humanity they once possessed.
The Zombies are winning. . .
[This is an RP Event for Monday night at 8pm central inside the Arena of Galaxy City. For RP-sake, this takes place on a parallel world where your character has been infected and is now a zombie! Think of it as an excuse to make a new costume and groan a lot while thinking about brains. I have created an AE arc where we are the Zombies in a world that wants to put us down (and rightfully so)! My character's name is "Freedom's Arch Mage" and the global is @Arch Mage. All are welcome to come out. Bring a group if you want. I'll be using the League system to set up teams for the AE arcs. This is meant for fun, if its a big hit.. I might make it a monthly series of zombie arcs]
[At 7:30 central, there will be a Zombie costume contest in Atlas Park.. unless someone beats me to a costume contest.]
Hope to see you there! -
Close Encounters with the Clockwork Kind..

"My name is Doctor Psi. Over the past few weeks, I have been feeling a mental presence here in the city. I have been picking up random thoughts from this presence, enough that I have learned who he is and what he is doing here. His name is Doctor Wraith and he is my doppleganger from the Praetorian Earth."
"I have heard about the Behavioral Modification that they have been doing on the Praetorian Earth and I have discovered it is being done here on a smaller scale. They have been abducting criminals from within the city. Doctor Wraith has been brainwashing them with his mental abilities and releasing them back in the city."
"We have to stop them.. tonight! I have picked up thoughts about some of their attack plans and who their targets are."
"Will you help us?"
(Legion is my monthly RP AE Arc for the Paragon Universe SG. Its open so that anyone is welcome to come participate. If you are interested in joining in tonight, meet at 8pm central at the Freedom Corps building in Galaxy City. You can also join the "Paragon Universe" channel in game for more details. I am hoping to have enough players present to form several teams. We will be using the League setup for that.)
@Arch Mage -
I'm interested in taking part. Here's what I can offer..
I have a team on Red Side called the Scope Squadron. They are actually a military unit sent their by the US Government to keep tabs on the bad guys (fight them there to keep them from coming over here). If they heard about the virus, they would pursue it to keep it out of enemy hands.
I have a magical branch of heroes, Incognitus, thats part of the Paragon Universe SG. Not sure how they'd fit in except maybe to investigate the zombies until they realize they are technological and not magical.
I'm also willing to help out writing arcs and assisting with organization if need be (or plot ideas). -
Who? Captain Jack Paragon and the heroes(rogues/vigilantes) of the Virtue Server!
When? Tonight! 8pm Central
Where? We start off inside the Hero Corps building of Atlas Park
Why? The Malta Operatives have taken over several key Longbow Installations and are threatening to wipe all the computers and kill the hostages unless the King's Row Killer is released from the Zig!
How?
Captain Jack Paragon has been contacted by Jack Wolfe with a request for assistance. Three different Longbow Installations have been taken over by Malta! The mercenaries are holding several technicians hostage and are threatening to wipe out the computers unless their demand is met!
Release the King's Row Killer from the Zig! The vigilante killer was arrested several months ago (see Legion #4), and has been quietly serving time. Wolfe has no idea why they would be interested in him since he's probably executed his fair share of Malta Operatives.
With time being a factor, Jack Paragon is asking heroes to meet him inside the Hero Corps building in Atlas at 8pm central. From there, several teams will be formed to stop Malta and one will go to the Zig to check on King's Row Killer.
-------------------------
The Legion events are set up monthly by the Paragon Universe SG and anyone is welcome and encouraged to show up and take part. You can learn more about the Paragon Universe by their guildportal site or joining their public channel ingame "Paragon Universe"
Hope to see you there!
@Arch Mage -
Around a statue in Galaxy City?
You sure do things different over there. Here in America, we hang out at our Atlas Park statue.
But in all seriousness, I look forward to visiting! -
I've noticed that about the vampires. I have managed to talk to a few, but I've had to practically force myself into their conversations with them. And my super-villain enjoys talking to everyone.

Quote:The Paragon Universe SG is fairly active. Its more the non-SG SG. They are all heroes that have access to the SG base (Citadel). There are 3 groups currently that use the Citadel as their base of operations (basically.. sub-groups within the SG. I run the group called Incognitus, someone else runs STORM, etc..) We also have loners that don't belong to any SG (but have the benefits of being in an SG). Our channel is open to the public "Paragon Universe" and just drop in and say hello.Paragon Universe is good, still going strong. And an RP group that's been around a while
Ditto the Dawn Academy.
My RP night is THursday nights. My group meets at the Midnighters Club in Steel Canyon at 8pm central. We chat for a bit and catch up.. then we head to the AE building for whatever RP danger is happening. I make it a point to try and talk to whoever stumbles by and we've actually picked up a few regulars now who just stumbled by one night. (Some of whom aren't even in the SG)
[So anyone reading.. Drop by the Midnighters Club on Thursday nights at 8pm..Steel Canyon side. Villains are welcome to drop by and chat, but will most likely be left out of the adventure for everyones safety]
-
Yeah, you can stay in your SG and still hang out with us. My Thursday night missions are open to anyone to join in. And just hang out on our global channel.
Recla -
I like the Science family idea. I wouldn't mind playing the bodyguard/friend (more Brock Sampson than the Thing)
Got a name idea though.. Paragon's Pride (got the double first letter use and the family reference making you the Lion King) -
I wanted to chime in as a member of the Paragon Universe..
In addition for being a great place to set up your own SG within an SG.. we also have two days where people can join in on already established RP nights.
Wednesday night belongs to our group, STORM.
And I run our Thursday nights as leader of our mystical team called Incognitus. We meet at 8pm central every Thursday night at the Midnighters Club in Steel Canyon. From there, we go off to handle whatever the mystical threat of the week is. Feel free to come out and see how things are for yourself.
@Arch Mage -
Incognitus is an RP group that investigates the various magical threats to our planet. They are a sub-group of the Paragon Universe SG. We meet every Thursday night at 8pm central at the Midnighter's Club in Steel Canyon.
At our meetings, we tend to chat for a little bit on what we've been up to. After which, some danger seems to always occur on Thursday nights that we have to deal with.
I play Freedom's Arch Mage, the current leader of Incognitus. I welcome any RPer to come out and join us. Membership in Incognitus is not required, although its always our hope that you will enjoy yourself and join anyways. Plus, its always good to have crossovers with other SGs on occasion... works in the comics.
So come on out and join us this week, or next week, or even the week after that.

If it helps keep this game profitable without having to raise rates to do so, then good deal!

Hi there.
I'm a returning CoH player from a two year hiatus. I play an old game called Ultima Online. While there, I was involved with a few role-play communities and I created a few player quest scenarios. I enjoy playing the role of GM and creating player type quests (I guess missions here). Does anyone here do those type of things? All I really have seen so far by way of player events are Costume Contests and dance parties.
I'd like to do some player made missions here, but was curious if there was any interest and if there was people I could talk to for their experience.
Thanks,
Eric
