My GF is running a Mace/Super Reflexes Brute, cause she likes to smash things. Now, playing blasters, I figure that a brute should be pretty tough, but for some reason, she gets killed rather easily (or much more easily than I expected).
I am playing a Dark/Ice Defender, and the two of us can kill about anything, but I had her helping my blaster the other day, and she ran into a pile of Rikiti and became one with the carpet.
I have not looked at how she is slotted, but I know NOTHING about Brutes. I know she is using SOs of the correct level. We are in our early 40s. I think 42.
Anyone have a Super Reflexes Brute, or have any general advice? -
I haven't played in 6 years, but I am back! Yeah!!
I see a lot of people, pre I20 that were 50 (+1). What is that? How do you get it?
Thanks -
I went fire dark, but now I am going to have to play around with kin! grumble grumble, yet ANOTHER toon. Thanks everyone for all the info.
I am playing a dark/ice with the GF, and we are in our late 30s. I hate the lack of damage, but I really appreciate the fact that nothing gets to touch her that I don't want to get to her.
I think in retrospect, playing a defender, we would have this on extreme easy mode, losing damage for control.
As it is, we can lay down a whole pile of hate, and things die sickeningly easy. If we pull an extra group, or are hitting +2 mobs, things can get a little dicey, and I miss a lot of the control that my defender has. All my dark powers just work better, being the primary. On the plus side, I have FIRE!! LOTS and LOTS of FIRE!!!

Quote:This seems like so much work for a game that is supposed to work so well with the Naga. Bad bad naughty bad developers. Try playing the game if you are going to develop for it.I have the 12 extra thumb buttons bound to several keys and key combos so that I can have instant access to various powers that are not my main attack powers.
Yeah, this may work. Sigh, yet ANOTHER bind script. /Cry -
Yes, but then the buttons on the mouse and the number keys perform the SAME tasks. Changing the Naga tray changes what the number keys on the keyboard control. :-/

I just got my razor naga, I have been trying to figure out how to set it up the way I want, but I can't seem to make it work.
I don't use the naga to it's full potential, and I may never, but I like that I can have a few commands at my finger tips.
How do I set it up so that the naga buttons will perform X actions and the keyboard number keys Y actions? I like using my number keys for attacks, but I like to have a few things under my thumb for Oh Crap moments. -
Yes, that helps tremendously!
By adding some numbers to the general description I had, it really brings a lot of things into focus. Thanks -
Ok, I went through the tutorial twice, and I am still confused about a lot of things. A couple questions:
1- It said that inventions do not expire. So does that mean that a level 15 + Dam enhancement will work for a level 50 player? Is the effect reduced?
2- How do you memorize recipes? I love the vague mention that there are ways to do that. Nice!
Is there any documentation for crafting that explains things in depth? -
I am a returning player, and I am considering running a corruptor, and I am wondering what scourge is. I read through some guides that have briefly talked about it, but it seems to be understood by everyone what it is. Expect me. Is there a guide that does a good job of explaining it, or some documentation I can go look at? Or would one of you nice corruptors explain it to me. I get the general idea, but I it a rough idea, not a firm understanding.

I played COh from when it started to just before Villians came out. And now I am back.
I am starting a 3 person team with two friends, and we are tentatively playing every weekend. A buddy of mine is playing a robot/traps mastermind, and my GF is playing an elec/elec brute. She is very inexperienced, and the mastermind is not a power player. We are all very new to all the new features/crafting.
I am looking to play a corruptor. My only 50 is a blaster, and as much as I love the defender I am playing solo, it feels like it takes forever to kill anything. A corrupter looks awesome mix of both!
I really like the effects of fire as a primary. The little patches of fire look so cool. I just wish the scorch marks hung around a lot longer. I am not tied to it if someone can convince me that something else works better in a group.
My question is what you all think would make a good secondary. I am thinking dark, as it is so easy to keep things feared, unable to hit, and held/confused. A couple of the others look really nice with the buffs, but dark seems able to keep the baddies from hurting us. Heck, fearsome gaze alone should put everything on easy mode, not to mention that awesome heal. My brute isn't going to be as tough as a well built brute, and my mastermind isn't going to put out the damage that a serious player is going to put out. So it is left to me to fill in the pieces.
Thoughts about a good team oriented secondary?
Opinions about a better primary?
Thank you all.

I am running a dark/ice defender, and I love it, but I have end issues. I good size fight runs me out every time. So I am thinking about slotting up some fitness.
So I have a built in fitness pool, and I can take a fitness pool. Huh!? Does the Stamina that I get built in not perform as well as the Stamina that will cost me 3 powers? Is the inherent one worth slotting? Is the power pool worth taking?
Very confused about the duplication. -
I played forever ago (5-6) years, and now I am back. I started a toon this weekend and I have gotten to level 22! Woot.
I figure I would go get my cape and new costume, but I don't have a mission for it. I goto the tailor and she doesn't offer me a mission for it.
/huh??
What am I missing?
