I sent it to War Witch 4am ET yesterday and she didn't read it (or just didn't reply idk), but I would like it to be addressed too. For the chance that the power-corruption happens on login of a character I haven't been logging in to play after my main got reset to defaults

I assumed this was due to the old versions not being the same as the new so just changed them. Same name doesn't mean same code.

I did find that trying to use reset made the pattern cycle continuously through the list. Fun to watch but not much use.
hmm, it didn't do that with my metallic pieces, it just reset to the top of the list when I clicked reset. One strange thing that happened in that tailor session though was click reset on the pants(or whatever its called) and the chest resetting instead

I use white and if I try again in the tailor it is a lot more grey. I even tried a fresh costume slot and no go on that too.

If you start a new toon, you are able to use the Metallic option in all it's new glory. This totally sucks for my already created toons.
Yes, something has definitely happened with the Metallic set, I just went to fix my colors (ALSO broken), and my metallic pieces were set to the default tights/boots/chest on loading up the tailor screen, and it tried to charge me for it. Even after putting it back it had the charge there.

Also loading a costume from your saved costumes files; if it utilizes metallic pieces the tailor will tell you it doesn't have access to those pieces and make you hit "attempt fix", such a pain lol. I'm gonna have to wait to see what's done about this too.

    I've already bug-reported it.
I also deserved my 30 month veteranbadge last week and was rewarded 33-48(my account also existed and went unpaid for approx. 2years), maybe 30 (and others) were bugged when the new system went in.

Mine doesn't say anything about the 54 though, what IS strange, is the site said I had 48, but the first day I had 45, and didn't get 48 in til the next.

However I've never purchased one of their subscription promotions (6month 1 free/12month 2 free or whatever), so that wasn't what triggered it for me.

It is VERY nice of them to allow us to keep them though.
  8. I've been awake for awhile and too tired to read the whoel thread so I don't know if this was said or not, but

For each new member of your SG (up to like the 15th I think), you get 20,000 prestige, they can even be your own alts, but that will give you a decent amount for starting up your base, then once your base has utilities in it people will be more interested in joining and so on so it's good to work on getting those first few members.
  9. Thank you very much , I used an old bookmark to get straight to the page instead of the main wiki bookmark that is for the new site. I should've thought of that, but i've been awake too long
  10. I print both the TF and SF pages of the paragonwiki periodically because my computer doesn't do well with coh and multitasking.

I just went to the TF page, and all of them seem reduced for the most part, my last printout was from 10/28/09, does anyone know when they were last updated, or if the wiki is still accurate? The TF and SF pages also have the Kahn/BSF info removed, what is that about ?

I don't get what everybody means "split up" into 2 parts, but still 1 TF . What movie do they play for intermissionz?

I don't understand why they don't just let us buy the costume codes. More income for them, and more happy for us.
I know . I've entered contests over and over and watched with my
"" as more westcoast cons pass by and still have no costume codes. 3/4 of the people who enter 2 of the same contest for these codes would pay $10 for their favorite I'm sure.

I mean really!? 4 seconds to apply a costume code from twitter? Thats insane. I can't even fathom the setup required to "bot" that
(PS I counted. I entered mine in 6tops, hit apply and it was "already used", that was the day I gave up on that contest )
  15. hmm, rikti invasion next week. I hope everyone else needs the badges, I have 3 or so 50s that need most of them for watchmen. Plus all the other toons that need them for preparing to be 50s

As soon as possible, or wait til there's the most mobs in the room with Reichs then click?
I've been the stalker of a BSF a few times, there are 2 computers in each room, and must be hit left to right, each activating the "failsafe", but all the leaders were fuzzy on the stalker ability so I just did it when it seemed like a good time.

If you get a stalker remind them NOT to aggro while in that room, it'll reduce their stealth away and -zap- no more stalker lol . I had my ninja throw caltrops outside the door before entering and it seemed pretty smart.
  17. Happy New Year Guardianites!
  18. I was hoping to get the Cap Buster and Bane De Dannon(?) badges on my 3 villain 50s (and capbuster on my new DB toon for the daggers) before the winter event ends, but just about all the snaptooth teams are speed teams for the rewards table, does anyone else need these badges, or want to help with a mapmopping farmtoon sometime?

One of them also needs the LW badge, and then a different one needs the WL, he was slow alting and missed the first killteam.

Anyway, while back it appears there is a bug with the options window. Try this:
Open the options window and select your resolution. Click Apply, but do NOT close the window. Then exit your client. That should save it in the registry. Logging back in should give you the new resolution you picked every time.

Also, there is a tool called TweakCoH that you can use to change your registry settings directly, instead of using the game's option window.
(The TweakCoH link seems to be currently not working. It might be possible the site is down or being updated. Maybe try again later?)

Alternately, there is a command you can use in your shortcut to run the game in whatever resolution you want. This allows you to set up multiple shortcuts, each with it's own resolution.

Example: (place this in your shortcut's Target field)
    "C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\CohUpdater.exe" -screen 1440 900

And depending on whether or not you use fullscreen mode, it couldn't hurt to add -fullscreen 0 (or 1) to it as well:
    "C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\CohUpdater.exe" -fullscreen 1 -screen 1440 900

On a side note, the Tech Boards are just a little higher on the list.
I'm always looking for awesome little things to throw into my CoH shortcuts, and all the digging asking i've done I've never seen this one. I like it .

  25. The follow up power description says "if you select this power, you may not also select build up", does that mean aim too? I'm working on a build in mids but the toon isn't high enough live to check, mids says it's ok.
