  1. ...Experiment was dumbstruck,

    He couldn't be wrong.

    He was NEVER wrong...

How? How could the knights' weapons and his spines possibly break stone.... It was inconceivable.... It was impossible...

But it had happened. And he realized something...

Blind Messenger was right. He gave himself too much credit... He let the last round get to his head.

"Uh... Sorry about the gun thing." Experiment apologized to Darkgun. "I really didn't think that would work. It sounded to me like The Benefactor meant... Sorry."

Then, Experiment turned to the next 8.

This would probably be harder than two. But, most likely, they would go down the same way the others did.

But Experiment was wrong once. He didn't want to take a risk. But he didn't want to use the gun either. If it had a certain number of charges, they would need the guns to use on the Obelisk.

However, before Experiment 2.0 could make a plan of action, Blind Messenger stepped out of the shadows. His black cape flowing behind him, the Necromancer seemed to be prepared for anything... But Experiment noticed something...

Blind Messenger didn't have the same belt as he always wore.

That was how Experiment 2.0 had always discerned Blind Messenger from his decoy Lich. The Lich wore a belt, with some sort of obsidian jewel in it, while Blind wore a belt, with a multitude of small, metallic, jet black skulls.

This was obviously the Lich, but it had to be used for something.

Experiment didn't like to admit this of his enemy, but Blind Messenger was actually pretty intelligent. He could come up with things so fast, it surprised 2.0. He always used his powers, and those around him, to his advantage, which is how Blind normally beat Experiment, if he ever did.

However, Experiment had no idea what had gotten into Blind right now. His Lich ran into the center of all the statues, and... Stood there.

His most powerful minion, stood in the middile of a bunch of enemies, and didn't move.

Experiment had to wonder what was going on, but decided it best not to reveal to those around him the difference between Blind and his Lich. It could be helpful later.
  2. Experiment smacked his hand into his face.

"Damnit, don't waste these things. It won't work on the stone guardians. According to this "Benefactor", it will work on "The Obelisk." Meaning one. Plus, he said it was well guarded. According to most video games, these guys should be easy, and those two giant things will come to life, and we have to find one weakness to kill them."

Experiment, deciding to do the best he could, ran at one of the stone spearmen, next to a zombie Knight, and started his own swordfight, except, you know, spines to spears.

That is one of Experiment's little quirks. He always loved swordfights, and used his spines as swords in fights, instead of as organic knives.

He couldn't hurt the things, but he sure could keep them away from the others.

And, yet, Blind didn't seem to be doing anything just yet.

Christ... That would annoy ME, and I am usually leniant.

Eh, most people in california don't talk that way.

    I know.

    Because I live there.

[/ QUOTE ] ...It's, like, annoying, dude. (That's as bad as it gets)...

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Wow... You are lucky.

Most people I know around here say like between Every. Single. Word.

This is an actual conversation from, I think it was, last tuesday.

Me: "Hey, do you know anything about computers?"
    Random person: "Oh, like, Windows?"
    Me: "Sure."
R.P.: "Like, I, like, love windows, dude. It, like, rules, like, over, like, Mac and, like, stuff."
Me: "Wow... Do you, like, like windows, like?"
    R.P.: "Dude, like totally!"
    Me: "...That was sarcasm."
R.P.: "Dude, like, what is sarcsism?"

...I am serious, that was the most annoying conversation I have ever had. I never, like, even knew that, like, people, like, seriously, like said, like, like after, like, everything...

    ...Like, totally, dude, like, yeah.
  4. Experiment, grabbing one of the guns, felt the awakening of two statues.

    And he froze.

Unless there was some sort of technological reason for these things to come to life, he was useless. His spines would break, as stone is resistant to what his spines do, and his technological abilities wouldn't work on something lifeless.

    He was stuck.

    ---------------------

Blind Messenger, however, had already pulled out a spell book.

He had no idea if these things were fueled by magic, or not, but he could try a few spells.

He skipped past the "Turn to Stone" spell because... Well... He didn't think it would do anything to stone.

Then, he found an enchantment spell. Probably not a good idea.

Life drain. No life to drain.

He stopped for a moment, summoning his zombies again. The minions with the acid vomit jumped out, attacking the oncoming statues. The Knights decided to have a sword to spear fight with them, and his lookalike lich came out as cover.

Blind continued through the book, finding an invisibility spell.

He cast it on himself, and hid in the shadows, continuing through the book, which, because of the thickness, would take a while, even to scan.

    ----------------
    Meanwhile...
    ----------------

Experiment looked through all his equipment.

    Flash grenades... No...

Grapple Hook... Don't want to get close...

Prison teleporter... Didn't need to waste it...

He couldn't find anything. No piece of equipment he had invented could help fight this things.

The only thing he had of use was this wierd gun, and he needed to use it on this "Obelisk."
  5. Experiment looks around once again, this time spotting... What, two green dots on a hill overhead?

Obviously, something was incredibly wrong. Either Experiment 2.0 needed medication, or he was seeing some Trolls.

Then, he felt a gush of air, as a sort of human fell out of a portal beside Experiment. He turned to look, and had to jump back.

"Damnit! What drove you to scare me like that, Titania?"

Earth Titania, the large Stone Tanker, as he was classified, got up from his fallen position, standing at an easy 7 1/2 feet tall.

"Sorry 'bout that, E." replied Titania, his american accent easily discernable. "But it wasn't my fault. Some wierd portal... thing, opened in front of me, and Blind kicked me in."

Experiment 2.0 had to do a recount. "Wait, Blind? As in Messenger?"

    "Yeah, you know 'im?"

Earth Titania and Experiment 2.0, while friends, didn't really know each others nemeses, so Earth Titania had no idea how relevant the name Blind Messenger was to Experiment.

"Titania, you have to answer this... Did Blind Messenger jump in the portal after you?"

"No, I don't think so." Earth replied, letting Experiment get some air. At least they would not have to deal with Blind again today.

    Then, a disembodied voice spoke...

    Welcome, my second Bishop!

Christ... That would annoy ME, and I am usually leniant.

Eh, most people in california don't talk that way.

    I know.

    Because I live there.

However, if they really annoy you that much, and "Please calm down" doesn't work, talk in their language...

"Dude, man, chill it for a while. You gotta hang ten, y'know what I mean, dude, man? Duuuuuude...."

Or, if that doesn't work, you just get the mallet, and smash 'em in the head with it. Then, you know that they will say one of three things...

    1. Nothing. 'Cause they're dead.

    2. "Ouch, man. What did you do that for?" meaning he has stopped, and you can explain it is annoying, so you have an understanding.

    3. "Duuuude, that is so not cool! I should, like, beach you or somethin', dude!" ...Then, you get the magnum.
  7. Blind Messenger looked on calmly. He honestly could not be bothered with getting into arguments. He did, however, want to get out of here.

He was just planning to get some pizza before he was attacked by the hero.

However, now he had to beat these villains and heroes to get out.

"Shouldn't be too hard." he muttered to himself.

"What shouldn't?" an english accent similar to Blind's asked.

"Oh, nothing Experiment." replied Messenger, turning to see the hero in red, metallic armour that, just because he liked messing with electronics, managed to get a few points. "You know, if you didn't know how to mess with those techy things, you would have been screwed, right?"

Experiment just shrugged it off. "All you did was make everything majorly dark, and give the bunny some sort of blast power. Unfortunately, your Lich took the blast." Experiment retorted.

Blind Messenger simply looked back at the Benefactor, trying to think of some easy way out.

He had pretty much figured out that there was some sort of barrier around these "missions", so he couldn't get out. It was kinda easy to figure out, because... Well, he did learn a few things from 2.0.

However, he needed some way to stop the barrier. But he was not skilled enough to know where or how to take down the fields. There was only one person he knew who could.

And, right now, he looked like he was too into the glory of beating everyone else by a meager five points.

"Stupid hero." muttered Blind, leaning against a shadowed wall.
  8. Experiment slashed three more times before the villain was down.

Experiment 2.0, a hero of Paragon City, had been sent to Bloody Bay for an assignment. He was to defeat and capture a villain known as "Vegetation", who used some sort of plant control.

    He was easy to defeat.

However, before Experiment could put the device on him to send him to the Ziggursky Prison in Brickstown, he felt a strong pull, and he was ripped from his world. He was thrown onto a grassy plain, and was greeted by a voice in his head.

Hello, Experiment 2.0. You will be my first bishop.

Of course, Experiment was confused. Either he was in some sort of wierd chess game, or he had just been put into the higher echelons of a religion he did not follow.
  9. I remember my first attempt at RPing in Whitmoore Apartments... *Shiver*.

Wow, when I reread them not so long ago, I could not believe that I had written that. The sentances were incomplete, the grammar was terrible, and the speech was just plain scary.

However, I like to think I have improved, even if slightly, even if just to feel like I have somehow changed from being an incomprehensible babbler.

It really depends. How did they type? I personally find that if people are rude or obnoxious because their character is, it is annoying, but just plain stupid when they have been asked to stop.

However, this does not sound like one of those problems. Could you post sort of a sample of how they post?
  11. Flying into the fray, blasting blue thorns at the Kraken and the Hydra, was a man, or more, some sort of creature, with a large metallic skull attached to his chest, and different sets of bone on him.

However, he had some sort of shield around him, much like Experiment 2.0's dark armour. Come to think of it, this humanoid beast had the same type of spine Experiment 2.0 had, except an eerie dark blue.

He threw another, and another, at the Kraken, and flew down to greet it. He did a few rapid slashes, before flying away again. As he turned, his eyes could be seen with a glowing, red fire emitting from them. He also had odd horns, with black tips, coming from the sides of his head, and twisting into spirals.

As he flew around again, his red and black cape could be seen from afar, which is how Experiment 2.0 noticed him...

    ------------------------------

Experiment 2.0, while working on his MTB's, heard the sounds of spines emitting from someone, which he only ever heard when he did it, or when his arch-nemesis, or, in essence, his curse, did.

Experiment 2.0, when he was "Created", already had dark armour from a mutation. However, his spines were from a science program that Crey Industries had started, by giving him an overdose of the poison he now transfigured in his spines to be able to turn lethal or non-lethal.

However, the poison created a replica of Experiment 2.0, with the same I.Q., same powers, and same type of personality, but with the opposite morality.

Both had spines, but Experiment 2.0's spines were a shade of green, because of the poison. The Replica's spines were dark blue, and Experiment saw that out the window, along with the villain's trademark skull attached to his chest.

"Damn... As if this day could not get any wierder..." he muttered to himself, "First the powers go out, then Nemesis comes along and helps us, THEN the rest of the thugs in Paragon come out and help, and finally, 3.0 is out."

    He couldn't believe it.

Experiment 3.0, created after Experiment 2.0, was inside the hero for a time, taking over whenever 2.0 created the Dark Armour, because it gave way to the darkness inside of him. However, with the power of Science, Experiment 2.0 was able to free himself of 3.0, allowing him to control the armour.

However, that meant 3.0 was permanently able to cause damage, and so was weakened to the point of being able to be put into the Zig without causing trouble.

How he got out was a mystery to 2.0.

But he could not forget the MTB's, and got back to work, still puzzling over the assistance of his pure-mutation enemy.

Meanwhile, however, Experiment 3.0 caught 2.0 in his sights, and flew right to the cabin housing the clockwork... And landed right outside, allowing his spines to extract from his body, and walked in the door.

"Hello, Experiment." said 3.0, calmly, approaching the hero.
  12. Experiment nodded to the swordsman, and continued looking for the pistol.

However, right after he saw it by a small flower, a tentacle came flying at him. He did a single backflip, which was enough to keep his head intact, but he was caught by the tentacle coming back up, sending him flying into the window of a small cabin.

Inside, he found many disabled Clockwork minions, and a Prince.

    He got an idea.

He started messing with the power supply on the back of the Oscillators, and set their power units to build up energy, and explode when hitting something solid.

He set the prince with a small transmitter, which could be detonated from a small device in his belt.

However, now he had to find some way to activate both.

Then, he looked at the assault rifle. He opened it up, making sure not to harm the flamethrower or grenade launcher case, and took apart the power supply. It was weaker than usual, but would do. He started work on a small generator, and would set it up so as to control the clockwork. However, he would need some help.

"Hey!" Experiment shouted out the window. "Could you guys get me some cover? I am trying to make some MTB's here!"

Experiment, hearing himself, decided now was as good a time as any to start.

He had to make the MTB's, or Mobile Transmitting Bombers, functional as quickly as possible. He could make the oscillators take down the tentacles of the Hydra, while the prince did some major damage to the Head. Or, he could assault the head with the oscillators, and make the prince hurt the Kraken enough for the other heroes to take it down.

The Hydra needed to go down first.

He contined working on the device, hoping the others could work on keeping the building up.
  13. 2.0 could feel the Hydra starting to move slightly already from behind what remained of his rock.

"It is thawing!" he shouted, pulling out the large, clunky Crey Pistol again.

However, as soon as he pulled it out, it was thrown from his hand, as he flew into a tree, bleeding.

He looked up, and saw the Kraken. He had totally forgotten about the Kraken.

He got up, holding his side where he had been hit, and looked around. He could not see the Pistol.

"DAMNIT!" he screamed, pulling out the Assault Rifle, and taking aim at the Kraken, puttng on full auto, and firing over and over again into the large creature. Then, as the Kraken pulled out a tree, and threw it at the hero, he felt his anger rise out of him, and his Dark Armour manifest. It guarded against the tree, and threw it back at the Kraken. It pushed the creature back, and the armour left, draining Experiment.

"Damn... Kraken... Stupid... Hydra..." he muttered to himself, searching the area for the Crey Pistol.
  14. Experiment rolled out from behind his rock, and in a natural, fluid motion, shot a beam.

The shot flew through the air, whistling past one tentacle. It almost hit another, and then practically scraped another, before hitting the Hydra dead in one of it's eyes.

Experiment let out a breath he did not even know he was holding.

"Quick, while it is still frozen, hit it with all you've got!" yelled Experiment 2.0, and he pulled out the assault rifle, shooting bursts at the head, mainly at the eyes, as they seemed a weak spot, hoping he was not the only one shooting at this thing.
  15. Experiment caught the pistol, and opened the cartridge.

"Yep, just as I thought. The power cell is out. Well, last drop..." As Experiment dropped the last Kraken Power Drop into the power cell, the whole gun became active again. Experiment put the empty vial away, probably needing it later, and aimed carefully at the Hydra's head.

However, the tentacles were in the way. If he hit a tentacle, he would have wasted one shot, and he needed all three.

"Ok guys, you will need to distract the Hydra so I can get a clear shot at the head. Then, we can pound on it, but I will need to keep freezing it so it does not thaw." Experiment informed the group, a tentacle smashing away part of the rock he was behind.

He would need all three shots of the Crey Pistol to be able to keep the creature frozen, so as to keep people from dying, which meant he could not waste a single shot.

"Tell me when I can shoot!"
  16. Experiment, after watching the bunny a little more, had it.

He ran to a nearby car, one of the only ones undamaged, and started messing with it. He transfigured the car horn to give off a loud, highpitched screech, instead of a normal car horn noise, remembering what should have been obvious from the start.

    "Large ears equal large noise."

Experiment, after tampering with the car horn a little, slammed into it.

The screech emitted was painful, even to Experiment, and he almost flew back from the force.

"Well, that was... unexpected." muttered Experiment, this time firing a spine into the car horn, causing it to erupt in the same sound, but this time, keep going.
  17. Experiment 2.0 nodded to Coldfire in reply to him going to a medical facility, and then called to Darkgun in reply.

"Unfortunately, in my research, the Kraken's power only lasts for 3 uses, then the device can not be used by Kraken power again. Which is why I now can not heal, or use my armour," Then, Experiment recalled something, "I might also want to add, it only works on devices. However, I have heard of other villain groups with other types of powers."

Experiment checked his P.D.A. that used to give him his armour and opened the panels of his armour. It was still inactive, but still had Kraken remnants on the inside, meaning if another dose were mixed in, it would cause a mutation, and create another creature, like the Kraken, but much smaller.

And Experiment definately did not want another Kraken.

"Uh.. Anyone here have a device that in 3 shots, could help us hurt the Hydra?" Experiment said, on his way back to battle, as a tentacle barely missed him, and he took cover behind another rock.
  18. As the pain grew, Blind felt like he had to turn around.

And he always followed his instinct. Which led him back to the bunny. And Experiment messing with some wierd doodads which looked like mishmashes of stuff off the street.

At which point, Experiment 2.0 was attaching another organic line to something.

    His arm.

An organic line led from the boomerang, too his arm, which led to the street light, so anything attached to the boomberang, he would be able to pull right into the light.

He had figured out the fault in his plan; There was no way for the boomerang to pull the bunny, so in essence, it would have just wrapped around the creature's neck, annoying the thing.

Now, he could try the plan. But, he had only one shot.

He aimed, and threw the boomerang, right at the neck of the creature. If it hit, he would be able to pull the line, pushing the plan into action. If he missed... Well, the debris would come down, hit the bench, send the brick flying, waste the flash, and he would either have to run, or try and fight.

He hoped it was the former.
  19. I just don't like it when people are replying in quick succession, yet people find a need to control another person's character. But then, that is just me.

I suppose I am just used to one kind of RP. I really need to get used to this one though.
  20. "Oh cra-" was all Blind Messenger was able to say before the darkness enveloped him, and he disappeared.

However, off to the side in an alley, Blind Messenger leaned against the wall. He watched as his Lich, which he made look just like him, as mentioned before, was enveloped in darkness.

"What a waste of power." muttered the Necromancer, as he walked away quietly. He would wait until this whole thing blew over. After all, he wasn't in his "Zone" quite yet.

    ------------

Meanwhile, Experiment 2.0 was able to see again.

"Oh, good, darkness is gone." he said to himself, and looked at the Psycho bunny again. "Now for some fun."

Experiment 2.0 looked around quickly, his mind formulating a plan in almost a split second as he saw pieces of debris and other street items laying around.

He ran to a street lamp, slicing through with one of his spines, and then twisting one of his organic lines around it. He tied it into a sort of boomerang with the strong lines, and ran to a piece of wall that had been dislocated from a nearby store wall.

He pulled out two bricks from the rubble, and pulled a small object from his belt. He placed it between the bricks, cutting out a small circle, and wrapping them together with a line.

Then, running to a lamp post, firing a spine into a small section of the back, turning the light on. He made sure everything was in place, and turned to get his aim on the bunny. He aimed his makeshift boomerang, connected a line, and connected the end of the line to the power box of the lamp.

He kept the brick on a nearby bench, the other side of the bench right under a loose piece of wall in a building. If he timed it correctly, and the bunny did what he wanted it to do, the brick would then fly at the wierd creature, and create a blinding flash from the small flash-bang device.

Of course, he never thought that maybe, just maybe, the boomerang would be too heavy to get to the bunny, which really implicated his plan to throw it around the neck of the creature, and pull it into the street lamp, causing it to be hit with an electric current, causing the wall piece to fall off, hit the bench, and send the brick flying, so Experiment could fire a spine right into the creatures face.

    But hey, he could hope...

(( Hehe, just had to get one of his wierdo plans in there. Sorry about the long description, but I honestly thought this up in less than 30 seconds, and wrote down, what, the whole plan? ))
  21. Experiment did as he was told, and followed the cigarrete butts, and found a man, lying on the floor, bleeding from his ribs and his right arm. Experiment looked at his healing device, then at the hurt hero.

"Well, I have two charges left, and two injuries. Better make it count."

He walks over, kneeling, and puts the device right above the man's right arm. "This will sting for a second, and you will be numb for about 2 seconds." informed 2.0, as he used the device to mend and stop the bleeding of the hero's arm.

Then, he went to the rib. This would be trickier. The rib cage protected the heart, the lungs, and other organs, which if hit with the healing beam when uninjured, would cause them to accelerate so fast, it might cause death.

"This may take a while." Experiment 2.0 muttered to himself, and slowly, carefully, started the healing process.

Because he had to be careful, he couldn't just shoot a ray of healing. He had to lightly click it, so as to let out a slow, but controllable beam. This would probably take a minute or so.

(( I have to ask, has the same thing happened to villains in the Rogue Isles? If so, I can add a villain. ))
  22. Heh, I used to be in an RP community where if you auto-controlled, you were pretty much assaulted with shouts.

Of course, I managed to do that once before I didn't want to do it again.

And now, with people doing it all over the place here, it kind of annoys me, but hey, I get used to it.

But what really annoys me is when people make my characters say stuff they would never say, like "Wow, how did you do that?!" when someone uses a blast of energy. If it is Experiment 2.0, and the energy is from some technological device, he probably knows what made it.

And, before anyone decides to critique me, please note that I know I am not good at roleplaying, that is why I try and join as many RP's as possible, that I can keep up with, so I can improve.

However, you guys, I could never RP as well as you do. Amazing characters, personalities, and limitations.

Yes, I actually said "Amazing limitations."

Honestly, I find it hard to find an RP that has a hero or villain having limitations. Right now, I know my hero and villains' limitations. However, you will probably have to read the RP's I am in to find out.
  23. (( Ah, I accidently said big bunny. Heh, I liked the idea of a huge bunny too much, it seems. Well, try and ignore the "Big" before "bunny" and think "Psycho." Sorry for the mess up! ))
  24. (( Wow, I DIDN'T type it... I thought about the limitations in my head, to make sure it didn't seem overpowered, but I must have kept them in my head. I will post them now. Oh, and that is why I said "Ran up". I really should clarify more. Plus, the Kraken is easier to get stuff from because, well, he isn't nearly as deadly as the Hydra. ))

As Experiment ran up the steps, he thought to himself, over and over, "3 uses for technology, two drops worth. 3 uses for technology, 2 drops worth."

Experiment had been studying for a while different energy supplies for his equipment. He found it was very limited, but there were about 2 sources. The radioactive batteries he currently used, which had been burned out by the power outage, and the Kraken's outer layer, which he had only been able to test once.

He found that, whatever vial he used, he always seemed to only have enough Kraken Power for maybe two uses. Each use, he found, gave his items 3 uses. He used one use on himself.

"I suppose, really, I have 2 uses left. OK, 2 uses, one drop left. 2 uses, one drop left."

He eventually found the fourth floor, and the amazing amount of debris he found was... odd, to say the least. He could have sworn that this was not made by someone being thrown through. This looked deliberate.

"No time to think about that now," Experiment said to himself. "Have to find the wounded he-"

He was interrupted by the volley of gunfire outside. He ran to a shattered window, and saw what appeared to be the villain group, Nemesis, firing into the lake.

But, unlike normally, they did not seem to be firing at the heroes. They were attacking the Hydra.

However, soon enough, Experiment got back into his mind, and continued looking for Coldfire.

"Hey, hero! If you are here, could you please do something to tell me where you are?"
  25. Experiment nodded, jumping behind a rock for some cover. He aimed over the rock, making sure he aimed correctly, and shot the needle and vial at the huge green Kraken. As the needle sailed through the air, he could hear the whistle of it.

The needle struck the Kraken directly where a human heart would be. It implanted, and Experiment 2.0 waited. The Kraken looked down at the small needle, and started to swipe it away. At which, a burst of rifle hit it's arm, from the rifle Experiment held.

As the needle filled, Experiment pulled it back, catching the vial. He pulled open the top, pulled out his Medical device, and opened the battery pack. The pulse was gone, but he dropped a slight drip of the Kraken's sludge inside. The small device lit up green, and Experiment tried it on himself.

    His wound healed almost instantly.

He cheered, then started running, putting the vial away. He saw where Coldfire had been thrown through the wall, and ran up. He hoped he could still help him.
