You're not dual-boxing are you? I know it's a stupid question, but everyone makes a "doh!" mistake now and then, but you are trying to create the HEAT/VEATs on the same account that your fifties are on, right?

*Is guilty of that* along with Vet Rewards ;x

"Hey, where'd mah wing options go!?"
  2. Question, Lazarus, do you have any other non-enemy NPCs in your missions? Even non-combat NPCs that you have to rescue?

I tested this issue quit a bit back when MA was first released, and it seemed having any 'save me!' NPC's would mess around with your buffer's AI.

I also had the best luck using Pain Domination and Thermal Radiation.

This would be great, I can't think of a better candidate for new IO sets. Doesn't help that the three we do have are pretty lack-luster as far as bonuses go, if I'm remembering right.
  4. I've long wondered why this is the case, it even extends to power pool options. There's lots of ways to give a marginal boost to your defense in Power Pools. CJ, Hover, and Manuevers all give a decent boost with only 1 power in that pool, and Weave gives a good boost with 2 other choices. While they dont provide much on their own, if you stack em with IO bonuses and whatnot, having one or two adds up.

But then look at Resistances, the *only* way to add anything is Tough. Thats only to S/L (while the defense is to everything), and it requires another pool pick.

I have came to the conclusion that devs want stacking Defense to be easier than stacking res. Why? I dunno, maybe because there seems to be a lot more mobs that counter hefty + def than counter res based sets.
  5. Oh, well that's simple LOL, thank you.
  6. Hi folks, quick question here;

Any way to test missions later on in your MA arc? I can only seem to start on the first one, which does me no good, if say I want to test the 3rd one or something.

    Thanks
  7. Seems to happen more with certain mobs than others. I see it very frequently with Helions and Lost.
  8. Oh, wow, I never knew that. So guess at least Darkies can use the inherent while solo hehe.
  9. To add a note on Vigilance.

I was on an 8-man team the other night, and when ever a Plant/XX Controller summoned Carrion Creepers, my Vigi count jumped to between 12-14, and all my powers were practically free.

    Anyone else notice this?
  10. I dont have a huge problem with them either, albeit im only level 28 brute. Only difference really notice so far is that they ehave far more HP then most mobs their level, its almost like fighting a +1 on the hp scale.

Hehe, I remember after fighting Longbow for a solid day (god was I sick of them), then I switched to a council Newspaper Mish. I kept thinking I was using Enrages or something, because man they fell *a lot* quicker. Oh, do Longbow have a canny resistance to Smashing damage? Maybe that's the problem.

I'm guessing at 30 they really jump out and become nasty.

Personally (as a /inv brute) I get hurt more by Arachnos troops, since a lot of their mobs are both very resistant to Smashing damage, and have Energy/Negative Energy attacks, along with some Psi i beleive from the Fortunatas. While the longbow only really have one non-Smashing/Lethal attacks (at this level) that I notice, which is the Flamethrowers

I just wish every contact within lvl 25-30 or so didn't give me Longbow missions, im sooo sick of killing the people in the white and red pajamas...

Also, as far as Heroes and Arachnos troops.. At least they have a dozen differnt outlets for quests, and only get Arachnos troops in those 5-minute PvP missions.

Slighty off topic here, but did anyone ever do that mission arc with the Prototype Nullifier gun? You steal it from Longbow, then go fight some FreakShow and Sky Raiders (i think) with it. The gun itself drains all their end, and I think dropped all their toggles as well. Kind of a hint at the Longbow's twisted future hehe.
