See, the thing isn't that the powerset forces origin it's that the set forces itself as a power
Fire blast can be any number of things, Firing your arm is firing your arm.
Conceptually, those Runes For Demon Summoning may or may not be runes, but firing your arm is STILL firing your arm. -

Exactly, and it's one of the things I don't like about CO. With it's "Mystical" "Supernatural" and "Powered Armor" sets that have their themes built in
Cool set though, and I'm always for more options, Would make for a good Epic archetype or Patron.
Weapon sets, MM sets, they Tell you WHAT your power is, but not HOW it is.
This set TELLS you your blasts come from being a powered armor user/Cyborg, magic, natural or otherwise.
While Fire Blast tells you you blast fire, but not in what way, Dual Pistols tells you you have a gun, but doesn't say anything about the gun, or your use of it(animations notwithstanding) Thugs tells you you have Thugs, but not how you control them, why they're there, or anything of that nature. -

Anyways, update: I'm really likeing these dark palettes, and these bright palettes with dark greens on Radiation Emission.
This'll definitely work, It'll be kinda wierd since the idea of my war-like character with these buffs and heals is hilarious since I wanted him to have this exchange with someone at some point:
Other Villain: So, these chemicals of yours are pretty cool, can you use them to heal?
Bug: Huh?
Other Villain: Can you make chemicals to heal?
Bug: Chemicals that do what?
OV: heal!
B: What the heck is that?
OV: HEAL!
B: What is that?
OV: it's what you do to your teamates!
B: is that, like.. eat?
OV: NO!
B: I don't think my people have that word
OV: Then what do you do when your comrades fall in battle or need help?
B: we eat them... while we're laughing at them

I basically Made this thread to find out the potential causes for Poison's MM exclusivity, to decide whether or not I should keep the concept because it wasn't completely ridiculous to imagine it getting proliferated in the future, but work around it with another set and proper coloring, or just take it in a different direction entirely.
Based on what I've been told, I can go with my concept as-is and just use whatever power I choose, colored how I want. And maybe there's a good chance that Poision get's proliferated Soontm So it's all groovy. -

Well, yeah, Obviously my alien Bug armada can be all kinds of perfect in their larval, Nymph, and Adult stages in AE.
I was just wondering if there was some major problem that prevented this set from being proliferated, guess nobody cares all that much about Poison, whatreyagonnado?

Also, how do Traps carry an evil connotation? Hunters, militaries, and even modern security firms use traps in the real world... If you are going to argue that traps are nefarious, you may as well call any weapon based set the same.
Attacking people with Radiation sounds just as evil as attacking them with poison, and is in fact, essentially the same thing.
I doubt it's a matter of the power sounding more or less "Evil" and more the issue of the tier 9 as stated.

Conceptually, Ninja, Thugs, and Mercs best represent the mastermind who's henchman aren't a power, but just some guys you pay, your family, your friends, your Loyal Subjects, or follow your orders. EXCEPT THAT DAMN ONI!

Anybody else remember the "Not all heroes are Ninja/Natural!" crap when Super Booster 4 came out? yup I do.
Those demons look less "classicly Demonic" and more "Monstrous" to me, If they had been red, had goatees, big horns,wings, cloven hooves and goat legs, long tails with triangular points on the ends,and weilded pitchforks, then the arguments of "These Demons are too Conceptually limiting" would hold more weght, but as far as how they look? They look like monsters with horns.

I really can't imagine the segment of players that've been wanting a whip-based set, NOT making petless Demons summoning MMs, just like people did with thugs back in the day for the dual pistols, though they STILL might do that.
