Isn't that a rather pesky interruption itself? I was much happier when I dropped Aid Other (stop running away, dagnabbit!) and Aid Self and went for +def.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not really, since my whole PFF/Self Heal does gives me a few seconds to reevaluate how the battle is going besides getting some important toggles back-up. But I do agree, its a personal choice and a matter of play style. Some groups still think they need heals when I just capped their +def with my bubbles, even once when I was teamed with a sonic defender. I spent a few minutes telling the leader that a emp wasn't need that day, and only after steamrolling three door missions did he finally agree.
But Self Heal is nice for the damage that does get through your PFF when you're fighting reds and taking the alpha strike for the team to get them moving. -

Also, for your power pools, you've picked very team oriented powers. Maneuvers is great for keeping up your defense for those hard enemies and for yourself, but doesn't really do anything for your teammates with your bubbles and your big bubble. Assault will raise your (and your team's) damage.
[/ QUOTE ]
Indeed Assault will adds the team damage but with Maneuver, your teammates can hit their soft cap on defense when bubbled with easy.

You've also taken Aid Other and Heal Self, to which you may find a better solution by taking the fighting power pool, increasing your Smashing/Lethal resistances and increasing your defenses with more personal toggles. Sure your epic will help with the damage resistances, but straight up personal defense is always a plus.

Personally I always thought taking Heal Self on my FF/Elec defender was one of the smartest moves I ever did with her. Hit PFF, then Heal Self, drop PFF and get back into the fight without those pesky interruptions. -
I thought the same, maybe lag but I did it when the Blaster wasn't even near her target for the normal radius... in fact, next to me and I didn't get the heal.
Maybe the map was just bugging on us, but I check it again to be sure tonight. Cus I must say, it was a very useful bug on that mission. Poor Blaster was getting the hate by the truck load. -
Last night on a AE mission, I was doing some kin heals targeting through a teammate.... and no matter the distances from the enemy, the targeted teammate got healed. On that mish, I was healing our second rank blaster as the tank kept the mob some distance away.
Is these just a AE bug, or has kin heals always done that? -
Even soft capped, I've seen a few tanks regard Fort like a safety blanket. You don't really need it, but it makes you feel better when you have it.
But I will agree on a high-performance team, Forts are hard to figure out who can benefit for it the most. Most teams like that, I just start from the top of the list and watch to try and gauge the numbers. Most times I just give-up and start giving each member a turn at Fort unless told otherwise. -
You could be a endurance draining nightmare if slotted right.
-
But attacking (wherever it hits or not), you reveal yourself. That suppresses some of the bonus of being invisibility, but you still get some small defense plus.
As a person that been under enough Group Invis, I haven't really noticed a different in play between invis and not. Most times, the worst I've seen is someone gets too far ahead and gets in trouble once the group invis wears off. -
You can solo with no problem, and any team you join should be jumping for joy cus they're going to just streamroll the mobs from that point on.
I always give a cheer when I see the team I'm on has a D4.
Yes, they do make that much different on a team. If fact, I always up the mission dif just for that very reason. -

Cool, thank for the honest feed back mate, I have a question.. If i put a chance for build up into the nova form will it have a chance too proc when i change form?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, and every 10 seconds thereafter. Duration of the proc is only 5 seconds, so personally I say its not worth it. Too unreliable and there are better uses for the slots.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm... and here I thought about using it on my Positron TF - ws build. -
I won't take Leadership pool, a D3 already adds a lot to a team without having maneuver/tactics sucking up even more endurance. Do your debuffs, and let loose with the aoes... and any team should be happy enough with just that.
But if you want, a good slotted Shadow Fall and Maneuvers does help on team defense. -
I would pick Force Bolt over Repulsion Field, if they're that close... do a quick PFF toggle.
For my FF/Elec, I only picked the shields and used the saved power slots for Speed, Leadership, Medicine, and Super Jump. Really if you're going FF defender, your secondary choice of attack powers will have a bigger impact on how much fun/effective the toon will be Its not hard keeping up the bubbles on team members, since they got a long duration. And while you wait to re-bubble, you play mini-blaster. I actually play my bubbler more like my fire blaster then my other defenders.
As to how often you have to use your bubbles on teammates, I re-bubble on every second mob, if the team is rocking... every third. Or you can use the poor man's way, keep a eye on team health and wait till you see someone dropping quicker then normal. -
I second, adding the team build time to the total.
But the Best Katies to me are the ones where no one face plants, and everyone gets a good recipe at the end. -
30 mins for a non-pug Katie... Sorry, not very impressive. I run PUG Katies all the time with my FF/Elec Defender, and most days we turn in a 25 min time. Of course, you do have your 35 min screw-ups from time to time but under 30 is pretty standard. Actually I like to think it takes us longer to get the people lined-up for the TF, then the TF itself.
The fastest I was on, was with seven trollers... maybe 18 mins. But those guys were friends with my SG leader, so all vets.
You know... I rather have a guide to how to recruit for a Katie PUG. Because over the months, I've seen that being the bigger problem on slow times. -
Good Guild... about the only thing I find missing is;
If you find yourself a team you like and can work well together with, get them on a teamspeak server or any other chat program (I use x-fire) when you zone. Makes life alot simpler, and will get you a few more kills.
... And its lot more fun, talking to your teammates while PVP-ing.
