Actually it doesn't say AFK it says automaticly with out human input. There is some wiggle room for the interpretation of what "played automaticly without human input" means since what IO farms do is with in game limits eg leaving 1 power on auto. Which is why i assume Merc asked for clarification.

  2. Based on the previous posts i have seen about random p'ing in PvP zones it sounded like a bug. Yours is afk farmers the other posts where active PvP'rs. Sounds more random and bug ish. The other posts where based on freedom not sure if that is where yours are.

I noticed there was alot of interest in raiding hami on red side in the global channels--particularly freedom badge. I suspect a very small percentage of the freedom player base actually views these forums...maybe we should advertise and recruit more in game??

( I usually only come to the forums to see what TF Mr. Eman has scheduled for the week and sign up. It was a happy accident that i found this thread, i do so love to hami raid!)
I said the same thing in an earlier post, it has been posted twice regarding a red hami each one never happened. It is my opinion that a date should be set with the condition that if no one brings eoe's or bio nukes it will not happen. Unfortunatly i am no longer in the public channels on freedom (just not enough room) so i can not recruit for a raid however i think that is where you will get people not here on the forums.

I don't like the he said she said and spreading the word in game this in turn becomes another form of harassment. What if what the he said/she said is untrue. I know of at least one person who has publicly said he says things that are untrue about people to see who will believe it and how far it will go. Report personal experience and if you witness harassment report that.

If someone is bragging in global channels they harassed someone then i would think that was petitionable.

Unfortunately, or Fortunately I guess if you were on the receiving end, the official forum rules state that players cannot talk about bans other players receive.
I don't think saying I wish harassers are banned is against forum rules.
  7. Those are all excellent suggestions and i couldn't agree more with that post. I would like to add one other piece of advice never respond to the harasser other than to ask them to stop. Do not argue or reply but petition petition petition, if the harasser gets someone else to help also tell them to stop and petition.

This is a nice guide to cyber stalking and what it is and actions to take.
    http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showt...cyber+stalking

This is a most serious issue do not just brush things off please report any harassment to NC CS through /petition or the support website
    http://help.ncsoft.com/cgi-bin/ncsof...p_sid=XOCshF4k

If it is happening on the forum also PM one of the moderators and make it known.
  8. Can you please raise the number of global channels allowed.

    Hami Raid

If people want a red side raid to happen go get warburg bio nukes on the toon you wish to bring then post here when you have them. I would be happy to lead a EoE farm team and get some farming going if people get some nukes.

Red raids are not like Blue they need preparation. This will change when GR comes and you start having hero AT's switching sides.
  10. I offer only death, getting lost and confusion oh also poor spelling.

I can do TF's (see disclaimer above), farm (slowly), help accolade (slowly), and i love to PvP though none of my Justice toons are spec'd for PvP yet.

I do generally have lots of fun in game and that is what i offer to my buyer :P

Arwen you are correct, they are bidding on the Player not a specific toon. Also yes it would be great if people would make a post stating what they can offer potential buyers.
  12. I am getting PM's and they arn't from Mod's it's so refreshing

Added some new names and my most sincere thanks to those volunteering for this.

also lol at the blue light special tag.

Same here Eiko. I got more into PvP in i12, before that it was just base raids for ****'s and giggles with the sg and coalitions.

If not, it seems like a great way for a new or poor player to earn some easy influence.

ANY player is welcome to auction themselves

I would warn them about you and throw in the word slave driver etc. <3
  16. If anyone still wants to volunteer to be auctioned feel free to post or contact me I will update the original post.

The minimum bid for any player will be 100,000 influence or infamy. Payment by the bidee and the Justice Events staff will be made in any mix of influence or infamy, at a 1:1 ratio.

The hours of play and what will be played will be at the sole discretion of the biddee and bidder.

    RED NAMES :

Two Rednames have agreed to be auctioned, however with stricter activities they will engage in.

Rednames are being handled differently this year. It is my hope to promote the Mentor Project and with that in mind this is how their involvment with the Justice auction will be handled.

They have agreed to run ONE TASKFORCE/STRIKE FORCE with a new player from the Mentor Project.

A new player is in this contest is defined as a Neophyte member of the Mentor Project with at most 2 veteran badges and a level 10 or higher toon on the Justice server. Alternate accounts of players with more than 2 veteran badges are expressely forbidden.

The new player will be randomly chosen from a seperate pool of registered Mentor Project Neophytes.

Additionally, one spot on this team will be auctioned to any player present at the time.

The task shall be chosen by the Neophyte and subject to agreement by the Redname won.

All paricipants on the team containing the Redname must conform to the schedule determined by the Redname. This may include, but is not limited to, daytime hours and no weekend hours.

All monies earned from the Redname auctions will go directly into the Justice Events and Justice Mentor Project funds, divided evenly.

Further modifications or changes to these rules will be reserved at the discretion of the Auction Holders, Justice Events.

** Time changed now that i have confirmation

Beta, also there are some well written stickied threads about PvP changes.
  19. I wonder if the dev's ever get creeped out by the fanboi's that follow them into threads cause they stalked them in the dev's digest. That's only explanation for badge questions on the PvP forum.

Sad thing is base raids did successfully what they said they wanted I13 PvP to do which was interest non PvP'rs in PvP. Base raiding was my first PvP experience. They where beyond fun and I miss them. I really hope they will be brought back regardless of any PvE trial connection.

For those that did follow the dev post here and have a hard time understanding why the community as a whole would be so rude to a simple announcement i13 PvP changes where pushed through even after the dev's where told they would ruin PvP. They where told this in an intelligent and polite way and where still ignored. So i13 went through and poof went the PvP community and no it probably wasn't large enough to even make them blink subscription wise. But now those left are still trying to enjoy PvP though it's retarded, and yes they are angry and ignored with every issue since so getting frustrated and bitter.

Unfortunately it's loose/loose since by being angry/rude the dev's are less likely to want to help the PvP community by fixing PvP, and when they tried to be polite they where ignored anyway.

Regarding Violent Crime... notsomuch. Had to switch sources here, but the US bureau of Justice Statistics gave 2007 data of this victimization:

Victims of crimes of violence. Rate per 1,000 persons age 12 and over.
    -Both: 20.7
    -male: 22.5
    -female:18.9
Are sex crimes reported with violent crimes or do they have their own catagory for stats?

Just to touch on a few other points in passing:
    • I certainly hope Kali isn't making some lame "violence against women" codswallop argument. Men are twice as likely to be the victim of a violent crime as women and three times more likely to be murdered.
    • The driving statistics I quoted were from the only country that matters, i.e. the USA. I'm well aware that many other countries have more reasonable requirements for a driver's license (here, we require a pulse).
    • I was on Usenet too and I don't think the flamewars were any worse, at least not in, say, alt.atheism . I believe there were a few hellholes (talk.bizarre, IIRC, and any group with "abortion" in its title) but you knew what you were getting into if you went into them. I think Arcana's argument in this regard is contrary to fact; we don't know what Usenet would have been like with more anonymity.
Ever had a stalker in this game? I've had 4 and I could see where something like that could go bad. While i have never made my identity a secret that has always been my choice and mine alone. There are privacy laws in this country for a reason. Now the forum eula for wow much like here means you have signed all that away it is a poor choice on their part to take away the right to privacy for their players.

    Hami Raid

I have offered to help before and it still stands but it will depend on a date. I can lead a brute team if needed, EoE farm on MI and help people get nukes. But it would depend on the date and time.

Philly- Is this an interest in event only thread? Or would this be the thread where someone would actually list what services they could provide? I'm not sure if youre just gauging interest or looking for both.

If this gets off the ground (as I hope it will), I'd suggest a later thread with the people only willing to be auctioned off to post. The last Justice player auction one had to scroll through pages upon pages upon pages of finding person's that were being auctioned and what services they could provide.

Also, if you need anything Philly...you know I'll help.

This is just the interest thread I actually did this last time too. I will post a more detailed thread soon.
