Except I care about this game very much, and i do enjoy it, I am leaving based on principle (maybe you don't understand that you have to actually have them to understand). I donated many hours of my time in game to help other players so they could come to love it as i have. Not to mention that a majority of all my influence was always donated as well. Are you not concerned that enough unhappy people will end this game eventually? The site that was last updated in 2008 shows a steady decline since 04 and if you actually listen to the shareholder report from NC Soft it states that CoH has remained steady. Steady won't be enough when they keep chasing people away. Also it is clear in that report that Lineage and Aion are some of their priorities not CoH which is barely mentioned. I15 doesn't even sound good enough to bring in that many people. Going Rouge does but by then there will be more competition. See i actually care enough to be vocal and not just kiss dev [censored] and tell them everything they do is just peachy. (that was meant in general and not directed at you i have no idea whose [censored] you kiss)

I believe the flyer is a bug respawn should be 15 min? i think, and i have heard of this happening before. The towers can be built even after destroyed so not a bug. The one being built in the wrong location i have not heard of before but would guess a bug.

Just a note not sure if it was fixed yet but you had to break coalition manually with the / command the option in the coalition menu wasn't working for awhile.

They don't issue refunds i am paid up till June 14th and no one is forcing you to read it if you would like to remain in the dark to events happening that is your right. Guess what i have that same right to keep talking about how i feel. I have not whined at all and i have done everything in my power to honor my own convictions. So while i did not loose any toons or get a ban I have paid a price for disagreeing with Paragon Studios I am not alowed to speak of that due to the EULA however. Also as a note anyone who knows me or has seen my posting history knows i have never trolled or been a troll, if you think disagreeing with a leadership and expressing that view is trolling then i feel sorry for you.

Your deluding yourself if you think a handful of whiners leaving over the MA exploits getting fixed is upsetting the playerbase. ED was a bigger deal than this.

As for leaving for the other game, once you (generic you) see how crappy it is you'll all be back. The only way you'll get people to consider you're serious about not returning is if you delete all your characters. Leaving the characters on the account tells me that the quitters want to keep their options open so they don't have to start over from scratch when they return.

Funny you would be surprised to know how many people who weren't even affected by the bans have unsubed because of the way this was handled, add that to those who were baned. Me and many people i know have unsubed and we all have multiple accounts. In regards to keeping the toons i know many people who are giving away their stuff (billions btw) even their whole accounts since they are paid up. I am leaving my option open hoping that the leadership direction will change.

Looking at the first quarter report from NCSoft. First they didn't list number of active accounts or daily population of any of their games, just income numbers per game.

Looking at income from 1Q08, 4Q08 and 1Q09. The amount is in millions of Korean Won.

1Q08 -- 5,164

4Q08 -- 6,865

1Q09 -- 6,837

Adjusting the 1Q09 into US dollars that's approximately $5.5 million dollars for the quarter. At $15 a month that's roughly 120,000 accounts. Bulk time purchases being cheaper per month would raise that number, income from $10 add on packs would lower it.

Edit: Found a historic currency converter site. Using the average conversion rate for that quarter I get these numbers.

1Q08 -- $5.4 million ~ 120,000 active accounts

4Q09 -- $5.0 million ~ 111,000 active accounts

1Q09 -- $4.8 million ~ 106,000 active accounts

Well that isn't looking good. Explains why they might have started advertising.

My summation of whats got people upset is as follows.
Issue 14 contained a great addition to the game. Unfortunatly this great addition contained some serious flaws that allowed for some really heavy exploiting, getting 1-50 in less than 3 hours type exploiting. Some people pointed this out in beta before it went live and it went live with only a couple of changes but with the main exploit still intact. A week or so later we have the anniversary event which has the welcome back event, and aparently a publishing blackout which means that the devs couldn't patch it for a week. With the massive increase in numbers we saw a massive exploit spike.
Positron makes a statement saying that they can and may punish exploiters if its deemed to be an extreme case. People panic and misinterpret the statement as being anti-farming or anti-PLing. 2 days later a clarifying statement is made and we are reassured that IF they decide to punish it will be for extreme cases and on a case by case basis.
A week or so later punishment gets handed out in the form of temp bans, however instead of case by case it seems that its scripted and as a result some people with level pacted characters who did not exploit anything get a temp ban because one toon goes from 1-50 in a couple minutes because another went from 1-50 in twice the normal time.
Once the punishment was handed out moderators smacked down every thread that was not the official thread, then the official thread got locked. Other threads are still being deleted.

In short, the developers, while being well within their rights to do so, seriously messed up in handing out punishments and rather than doing it on a case by case basis, opted for running a script which banned innocent users. The whole thing has been handled poorly.

personally I object to the level pacters being affected and to me that is the greatest problem with what has happened. I dont object to the devs handing out punishment, but I do object to how they did it.
