This is a great thread and I think much of the blow-back is because so many bad team builders think an emp is required for every team. So many players have just decided that it is an extra challenge to play without one. Really, a good emp makes the hardest difficulty setting easy.

Good for you. I guess they know you and know you have several characters so you get to stay. Personally, I hate pres. mills, and that, sadly, is what PON sounds like it has turned into. An SG that takes advantage of players. My friend worked his character from around lvl 5 when he was invited to the mid 30's. So he work a lot of pres for the SG.

Now, in their defense, I've never run a large, active group and I can understand the need to have active characters in the main group when it is starting to earn prestige. But I don't think a large group needs to do that anymore. Why don't they start sub SG's and move inactive characters to those and coalition everything so the characters can use the main base's stuff. But then I guess that wouldn't generate as much prestige. Ok, sorry for being such a cynic. /e gets off soapbox.
