Thank you sooooo much for this guide. I fell back in love with my favorite powersets and am re-rolling my "all dark" toons just to play them over again. It's also nice to see so many others who appreciate Dark Armor considering how much grief I've taken over the years.
I was fiddling with Mids and found I like the idea of putting a full set of Steadfast Protection in my Obsidian Shield. It gives me the KB resist missing from Dark Armor, and the +Def doesn't hurt either. I found it is a big help on my Dark Armor/Dual Blades Tank (talk about an End hog).
Also, I especially like that Dark Armor is available for Tanks these days. Who can resist a "minion muncher" at level 1?! Early power selection means early slotting, and it helps hold aggro nicely. Sure, Fire and Electric would give me a PBAoE toggle too, but I've always liked Dark. Color customization helps too.
I'm looking forward to seeing a Stalker addition here too. I'm quite a fan of Shadow Dweller. -
I know I'm a johnny come lately to the forums, but I thought I was being clever asking Nibz to play this on her show a couple weeks ago. What can I? Great Minds...
now for my toons' tunes:
(I generally have a full CoH/CoV mix that I update once or twice a month.)
I like VNVNation for a lot of stuff that just fits. ( Especially "Dark Angel" for my Kheldians)
Also, I'm quite fond of the Steel Canyon-Copper District and Pocket D music.
"Battle without Honor or Humanity" by Hotei Tomoyasu ( from Kill Bill pt 1, and Kung Fu Panda ) or most of The Matrix soundtrack is always good too.
Lately though it's been Muse - "Uprising" and Shiny Toy Guns' cover of Peter Schilling's "Major Tom" (after seeing Ashcraft's video for the Dropship Challenge and asking AngieB and Nibz who it was...)
And if I'm feeling sorta blah and just want to ninja flip around Bloody Bay to perk up, I use "Move your Body" by Eiffel 65 (after seeing a mostly One Piece AMV for it.) -
The things we're gonna do with the title of this thread...
but seriously, I'd like 5 pages of 12, making an even 60 toons per server. I'd be willing to pay a higher monthly fee to cover the inherent costs of letting us have more full pages.
Except for a small number of possibilities, I'd like to have at least one toon of each AT combination, and possibly several of certain types for the different AT+pool+epic combos... and soon we'll have both sides available, so double some of the builds to play each side. -
Harpy Birfday YUKI !
Can we lure you back with Cake? I swear it's not a lie. -
Bacon is Goood, and Pork chops are gooood. (Pulp Fiction)

Aw, and we already had our requests all ready in Vent yesterday.
Well, get some rest and be ready, we're gonna save them for Wednesday's show! -
Do I really need to tell you that I also am "totally stoked" and so are all my friends. This is one of those comic book plotline standards we've been hoping for and discussing outside the forums since CoV was first announced.
I'd say I can't wait, but the truth is that I can wait as long as it takes to get it "right."
(Now all I'll need is more than 36 toons per server and more than 5 suits per toon. So many alts, so little time.) -
I don't want to make this real long.
Issue 13 is mostly good. Lots of cool new features and stuff.
But...
I liked Barrage just the way it was. It was a good low powered, high speed, initial melee power for my tankers and brutes. It made the set fun along with Whirling Hands. I could write a couple pages why I liked it the way it was and why it just will not work now. But, I'll save myself the trouble.
Please return my wickedly fast Barrage, or give me a much better explanation "why" something that wasn't broken got fixed.
