Quote:yeah.... if we could tone down SS's color, that would be great... or change it to a streak of purple or green :PAside from just working on other stuff, I'd reckon the biggest delay on this is the Patron powers and the Speed pool.
Almost all the other power pools don't have much, if anything, in the way of SFX to customize and almost all the APP powers have already cusomizable versions in normal powersets.
I'd be happy with just Superspeed and Hasten getting customizable. Just kick that Live and I'll wait for the APP/PPP stuff -

Quote:lmao.... i passed on Montezuma's revenge to youWell, as the Shardtober followers may have heard, the Sunday run for Faathim the Kind did not end well.
As a result, I griped a bit too harshly on this forums about losing PHLRE and PHIR3 (aspects of PHIRE) to a massive disconnect.
Well, as of today, this Tanker Tuesday evening with Warboss hosting in Victory server... I may not be able to make it tonight.
The Verizon Internet service for the area has crashed. Hard. They're saying it may be a 24-hour crash.
I am typing this from a Panera Bread using my laptop with an AT&T wireless connect.
This is PHIRE'S revenge against my griping. I can tell. I CAN FEEL IT.
Kudos to you PHIRE, your power has reached these shores. I am in awe of your kung-fu.
So, to the guys running the Tanker Tuesday tonight... well... good luck if I can't log in by 9 pm EST tonight. -
today at work, noticed at our briefing the upper-tier management was there on site. I was awarded the Leadership of the Quarter from the Federal Security Director, including a signed certificate of recognition and $200 cash award and my lousy name on the hanging Leadership of the Quarter plaque. Definitely could use the cash (well, the govt gets about a third of that back) but the recognition will definitely help an eventual move into management in 2-3 yrs hopefully....

Quote:undestandable bro....The need to gripe. I has it.
One of the reasons I go through the hassle of posting sign-ups for the Shardtober TFs is that without those sign-ups it takes FOREVER to get people online to agree to waste a few hours task-forcing. Even for short and sweet TFs like Hess or Sister Psyche, it's like pulling teeth, taking hours just to even get started. For time-consuming TFs like the Shards, getting a pre-ordered sign-up going made the most sense.
Hence, I've got it my head that once the sign-ups been done and did there's this... well, 'professional' need to ensure that everything goes according to plan. That we get everyone who signed up the chance to show up, for starters. That we get a team balanced to ensure best possible survival (in the case of TFs with AVs like Sara Moore and Faathim's, that we have at least one aggro taker and at least one debuffer).
In that mindset, when something doesn't go according to plan, I gripe. I snarl. I have been known to kvetch. Wailing and gnashing of teeth soon follow if the collapse of the plan ends up with a failed mission.
I have teamed with you on many an occasion, PHIRE. And for the most part you've done your gameplay duties (yes, I am thinking of it as a duty, shame on me) effectively well. It's just... you've had these disconnect problems before... and it's just... well... for me it's a little annoying. Especially when everything that got planned out during sign-up had left both PHIRE characters as our only Defender-based debuffers. Both of them gone = slight problems with the regular AVs we fought like Malaise and Mother Mayhem but also = massive problem with a high-end Lanaru that team-wiped us twice with barely a quarter of damage inflicted on him.
Hence the griping.
This TF would complete the ShadowShard TF badges for me... sorry you guys werent able to complete the TF -
perhaps - but you personally know that ive been faithfully involved with your last 3 shard tfs too... and ran w/ 1 toon thru the entire 2nd tf when my other comp wasnt working
im honestly sorry if the group wasnt able to finish, but some things are just out of our control. only thing to do is try again.... -
im up to doing it again next sunday if anyone else on the team wanted to do it
-
hey.... sorry about dropping out, it wasnt by choice. The cable & internet in my immediate area had a catastrophic failure.... im back up though

at this rate - i strongly suggest trying out all the power sets found in the controller & defender :P
they all do well in their own way in mitigating damage - eventually you'll find one that feels serviceable and also enjoyable -
Quote:when i saw this title, it was "Oh NOEZ"Ahh, I didn't know Controllers could also heal. I thought with playing a full support healer I wouldn't have time nor the mana to damage mobs.
Do Controllers heal less than a Defender or are they balanced?
Thanks again all the replies are much help.
Maybe in the first years of the game, a straightlaced healer was wanted. The game has progressed where healing is less appreciated or needed in a team as other contributing factors because of players and their characters have progressed where they can mitigate more damage than before..... SO....
BUT.....
Either play an Empathy Defender OR better, if you're looking to be support, the other suggested "Controllers" w/ Empathy as the secondary powerset. I strongly recommend finding some "Empathy builds" if you're looking for specific power applications and guidance. Otherwise, i'd HIGHLY suggest in playing out an Empathy build and find out from personal experience how things work in your own way, because everyone's playing style and expectations are different. Ultimately, this is all about you, not "THEM" and what they "intend" for you to play as. You may find success, you may find disappointment, but at least you have had a chance to travel your own chosen road and experience what you've been looking for....
there are plenty of empath defs and controllers out there
Best of wishes and good luck.... -

Quote:mebbe you can bring a controller for sunday?Sunday at 4 pm is perfect for me. If we are running on saturday 2 pm is a little early for me but 4 pm is perfect. I will try to be there both days, but saturday at 2 is iffy.
if you wanted to get it on your main, you can run another team afterwards or another day and im willing to assist with that... -
lol thanx guys
its really comforting that the same ol peeps are still playing.... -
Quote:But Umann...... that's SO old skool! That would require actually learning to play your character post 40's!If you were the finest player, you could just get your own damn blaster from 43 to 50. I'm just sayin.
Now.... Umann, dont you feel like a loser? -
reworked the build to max tank ability and instead just going into the Fighting pool to squeeze in another 7.5% lotg (makes it 5) and move some of the resist uniques into Tough from Dark Embrace to throw in a couple Resist IO's to increase my neg energy/smash/lethal resists, and get in status resist IOs (others in other shield buffs & Weave). 4 of them plus unique's gonna cap out 50% stat resist, plus 12pts of KB/KD
