why are there "ultra-rare" recipes though? Drop the recipes, kill the need for farming.

If i could go in RV or WB and get that drop doing a mission or killing some pillboxes or defeating another player on the regular, what would be the point of farming? It would kill farming altogether.

Hell, I'd go back to fighting Anti-Matter if I'd get a drop or two a week. But 1 drop every 6-7 months can kiss my *__*.

Indeed. "Grinding" is a point of view. I farm because I want money and items to make my characters strong as possible. This action on a repetitive loop turns into grinding. If I just run missions, it turns into grinding because of how slow the lvls are acquired. But the end is where the fun is. PVP. If one has jedi hand to eye coordination, they will still be defeated due to lack of enhancements. So grinding is a must for competitors.

See heres my point! WHY ARE PVPERS EVIL? Pvp is the funnest part of this game! Fighting Frostfire isn't! Destroying ai isnt a challenge. So if a person wants to fight another person in pvp zones, they are evil?

To the OP, I feel you on people not teaming to do anything else. Everyone is doing boss farms or some other cheesy mission and no one wants to run actual story arcs in ae. Thats not cool. But if thats what people want to do ........ ohh well.

Bunny summoning is funny ......... But animal summoning would be awesome! Even if its the only different mm on heroes side. and what was the face palm for? If heroes had different mms that would be awesome!

I personally am in a race. Not to just have "shiny enhancements", but so I can compete in pvp zones. Hands down, only motivation. I was perfectly fine with the "so" days. But when I went into pvp zones after the recipe sets came out, and my toons were dying and couldn't defeat anyone. MORE POWER WAS NEEDED TO COMPETE. No other motivation.

Playing the game won't keep me competitive in pvp. Pling and farming, gets the drops and more so the money to buy the enhancments. Expecially ae missions cause what regular mission can you get 25k a kill with all lvl 54 bosses? The devs got the drop rate so low that folks are paying 500million a recipe. Where are all of yall at when it comes to complaining to them? All the drops in the world are at a tweeking of a program and instead of saying "Hey increase the drop rate to kill the farmers motive." yall attack anyone who sees the use and need of farming to make their toons stronger.

I posted this thread to see what the overall outlook was about the subject from my point of view. I see the official farming thread but this is more or less about the people. I wanna know why "farmers are the badguys" when clearly a player cant stay competitive in pvp zones unless they farm.

I never considered new people farming when I made this thread. I see the point of you all about newbies farming. I really don't have an opinion on the matter. But I started playing this game in december 05, because I found a game where I could make my own superhero and give him the powers I wanted them to have. 4 years later this is still one of the funnest ways to spend some of my free time. But now I wanna pl my toons and farm and run through tfs as fast as possible just to get drops and merits and money to make these characters of mine as strong as possible.

Stop looking at pling , or farming as a bad thing. I personally have "payed my dues" with getting 5 characters to 50 doing teaming and soloing and all that. So my last 7 that I got to 50, I did pling and tfs. THIS WAS NEVER A BAD THING TO ME and was AN OPTION THAT I WANTED! I pay for this game just like everyone else, and if I don't want to spend months grinding a way to get a toon to 50 then I shouldn't have to.

I get on the forums and all I see is "farm bashing". Im grown and have 2 jobs. I dont wanna spend the remaining hours of my day getting 3 bars.

Farming allows me to put sooooooo much on the market. And I put it there for cheap too. It helps me help the economy of our game. Pling isn't bad. Any "character builders" know that getting a toon to 50 is pretty much just step number one. The recipes are the next step. Of the which, recipes are impossible to afford if a player just runs through contacts. I just did it with my ma/shield scrapper. After a month I was lvl 16 running in the hollows. Grinding out missions is for people that are new and people that actually prefer to run stories. It should not be the only method of game play.

Water Control .......... been discussed, this I know, but this is a reason to push it through..............

If we have water control on the game then we can have an unlock able character.

If you get 5 controllers of different types to 50 (ice, fire, water, earth, plant) then you can unlock a controller that can use all the powers.

And having a controller with Jack,Flytrap,Stoney,Imps, and Coral would be awesome for the few hours b4 nerfing.

Hey Coh, I just wanted to let you guys n gals know that its a fun arc from the "Mystery Science Theater" archives themselves! I'm talking cavemen and aliens here! Cool looking enemies! Experience this awesome story now while supplies last!..............

Anyways away from the 30 second radio skit, I think its pretty good and fun, and a break from the norm.

"Back to the Drawing Board" or arc number 30054

You start off talking to the contact who informs you that they have found a defect in the human genome that will kill all humans in 3 days. He also informs you that they have located teh exact point in human evolution that this defect occurs and want you and your team to go back in time to terminate the defect which were suppose to be a small group of pre historic humans that resembled the "infected" of todays outbreak section of Paragon. This would make todays population safe from the defect and avoid global extinction.

First mission takes you a short distance into the future. If you say "I thought we were going to the past?", thats what your suppose to say. LOL See, the X'ians are tinkering around with the global networking systems and messing up signals and such...... You will see. Just read the dialogue when you talk to the contact. Avs have been edited several times and are now managable. Its 4 missions all on small maps so you can move on to your next fun arc.
So far I've been rated 4 stars.

I was playing with a couple of friends on the game the other day. We have ventrillo to speak. They were upset that "Syler", from "Heroes" is Spok.

I personally thought he did a flawless job as Spok. And Nemoy's appearance in the movie was legendary!

But I have a question...... Where was Shattner?!?!

Tho I firmly am glad he wasnt in the movie, I feel like he deserved to be there as much as Nemoy. Shattner would have made some weak joke or something as opposed to keeping the movie serious. But a cameo in Spok's "mind link" would have been sufficiant.

thats what i was thinking ....... but then again tanks/brutes res/def is the highest in the game ..... maybe focused accuracy hasn't seen a defense of this magnitude ........ can't wait to find out though !
