Thanks for the replies
i don't have much experience with controllers. still very new to this game.
looking at the combo briefly, it doesn't seem to be very pvp based and more for pve.
could anyone comment on how this works in a pvp setting?
What am i missing?

Hello all
I've just watched the hyper omega pvp video on YouTube.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSiBfgETcMo
in the first 1-on-1 fight, he seems to be against an earth controller or dominator. Just wanted to ask 2 questions on this if it is a controller.
1. From from watching the vid, can anyone tell what secondary is being used?
2. How is stone control in pvp?
Thanks for your time

Thanks for the informative reply. i had a look at stone melee and it also appears to give a to-hit buff
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Stone_Melee#Build_Up
is there more of a to-hit buff with rage?
also, are there any preferred primaries to go with stone melee or is it the same as other preferred pvp primaries? i.e fire, inv or wp?

Does the same reply for Stone Melee too?

Thank you for the quick reply
just wondering why things like energy melee aren't used as much for pvp. I'm sure I'm missing something but. I don't see much difference between ss and em other then rage adding the to hit bonus.

Hello all
Just wanted to ask 2 quick questions. Please bare in mind I'm new to this game.
1. Almost all the guides and post I've seen recommend SS. Why is this the case and are their any other secondaries that are viable?
2. In the same light, are fire, wp and inv the only viable primaries?
Thank you for your time

Thanks to all again
i'm really enjoying the look and feel of dark melee at the moment. i tried spines but the look seems out of place. couldn't think of a way of integrating it. fire was nice as well but i just love the idea of draining of DM/DA. reminds me of warlock mentality
out of interest, what secondary would work best in a AoE and pvp situation with DM? i'm guessing DM/Regen?

Quote:sorry about the multiple posts. you're right, it is a bad habit from WoWEDIT: You don't have to post your message in multiple places. The community is friendly and you will get a good response wherever you post your question. This isn't WoW.
thanks to everyone for the advice, Regen seems to be the secondary of choice for pvp from other posts so i'll try that.
just thinking between fire or spines for primary as they seem to have the AoE potential.

Hello all
i started COX a few months ago. i was a former WoW player with an 80 feral druid specced for pvp
my issue at the moment is choosing an AT and powersets. there's just so much to choose from! i'm sure as i play, i will learn more about these, but it's very daunting at the moment. i'd appreciate any advice based on some points below if possible:
a) i would like to be a tanker, scrapper or brute as i've always liked melee toons more than ranged or support classes
a) in an ideal world, i would like a toon based on strong AoE powers. i just enjoy the challenge of hearding a load of mobs and nuking them all down without dying
c) i also want to get into the pvp aspect of the game at 50 as much as possible. my style of pvp always seemed to be about outlasting the opponent as opposed to bursting but i'll try anything.
at the moment, i have a dark/dark scrapper at lvl 7. i had a concept and liked the fact there was a dark Ancillary power pool for scrappers to complete the concept.
any feedback would be appreciated. my apologies if this information has been covered else where
