Personally, I'm going to stand back and watch MUO for a while before I make any choices on it. I'm pretty wary of online games that have a big name attached to it. World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XI are good examples.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm hopeful that Cryptic will give preferential beta access to CoH players. It seems likely, so perhaps we'll all get to see what its like in MUO Beta.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'd think NCsoft would not allow such a thing, but you never know. -

We used to play Villains and Vigilantes in his dorm room, and our GM was none other than Sean Fish... a.k.a. Manticore.
[/ QUOTE ]
Weird!!
I could be wrong, but didnt you also do the cover for the Deadlands: Hell on Earth book Children O the Atom?
I only ask because of the huge City of connection with that book. -
Its a jarringly different style than what we normally get from David Nakayama.
Also, that cover was done by Nakayama, but they give credit to Rodolfo Migliari. [censored]? -

A coalition buddy also found a small underwater area, probably to show us what to expect in an underwater zone. I dont remember exact location but its around the west wall on the beach, its a small pool surrounded by some rocks, you jump in the water and you fall through some and see a lvl 15ish coralax doing an emote.
[/ QUOTE ]
You'll also see Oceanborn bouncing up and down next to that Coralax. -

Notice that he works for Cryptic.

That link appears to be broken, at least for me.

Well, since Lord Recluse is apparently Tartarus Incarnate, and States is Zeus Incarnate...
Heroic Incarnates = Greek Pantheon
Villainous Incarnates = Titans.
Makes sense. Even Prometheus.
[/ QUOTE ]
And this all depends greatly on which book is correct about an Incarnates power.
If the new book is gospel your statement is true. If Web of Arachnos is canon the explanation is incorrect...maybe. -
[ QUOTE ]
Errr... maybe I'm being stupid, but surely the fact that an Arena is being built IN THE GAME is pretty big proof that its being worked on?
[/ QUOTE ]
If they build it, will we come? -

Also I'd like to request that the upgrade icons not be tagged "auto" powers and not be hidden when you select that option. Henchmen die frequently enough that you want to be able to see who needs upgrades in the middle of a fight without having to change your display options.
[/ QUOTE ]
Agreed. -

Longbow are smash resistant, Council are a better choice.

For what he was testing, it doesn't matter. -
The numbers at 32 on the Bruiser attacks(all against the same foe):
Haymaker: 81dam
Hurl: 81 dam
KO Blow: 176dam
With three Dam SO's it seems very close to the damage of my Brute. I'll check again at 34 to see. -
[ QUOTE ]
And the fully upgraded Bruiser wears a pastel blue and purple batik disco shirt with a butterfly collar, open to the waist? That's not the kind of menacing thug I had in mind.
[/ QUOTE ]
I can't tell if you're joking or not, but those are tattoos. It's not a shirt, man. -
No problem.

btw, what the animation for the 32 upgrade?
[/ QUOTE ]
You toss them a huge duffle bag. -
I agree, Raindog. Thugs MM attacks line up well with the animation times of existing sets.

...this begs the question - what were those guys from the i7 trailer that looked like cowboy bankrobbers, with trenchcoats, dusters, masks, and dual ingrams?
[/ QUOTE ]
These..?

Now that I have the second upgrade, I 'm really lovin' the look of the thugs.

Guess I should of taken an "action" shot. -
[ QUOTE ]
So do the upgrade costume changes randomly vary from summon to summon like the minions themselves, or do they remain the same each time?
[/ QUOTE ]
The upgrade costumes only vary in color, from what I've seen. -
One of the upcoming Veteren's Rewards will be trench coats.
You earn it for having an active account for three months, allegedly -
-
Yep. They're super-aggressive now. Upon summoning them, they'll immediately attack anything in the area. It appears that you still draw aggro from activating Gang War though.
-
From the Euro Patch Notes:
Powers - Players
* The thugs summoned by Mastermind/Thugs/Gang War should be more aggressive now.
I'll have to try it out and see how big of an improvement it is. -
I've found he's usually fine without your Enforcer's buffs. With his inherent resists, he can take a beating pretty well.

So now that everyone has had more time with the thugs, what are your impressions?
[/ QUOTE ]
I'll write more when I get to 32, but for now, I'm impressed.
If the AI bugs are cleared up, this will be a very strong set on live. The Enforcer's buff's are great, the damage output is awesome and Gang War is a lot of fun. The Dual Pistols are the icing on the cake!
