I also have a base which is RP'd as my hero's home. The only functioning thing in it so far is one salvage storage rack. But its got a living room, a bedroom, and a half done hottub. The hottub will be completed as soon as the slow field gets turned on for that water effect. I have coalies with other sg's that allow me to use their base for the tp pads. It is nice to have a place I can call my own.

Of course I'm also a heavy RP'er, so a place like this makes sense to have.

wow.. LOL.. I now have a headache after reading this thread. LMAO. No offense to anyone, I'm just not a numbers guy.. I don't get into the whole number crunching with the powers, buffs, debuffs, etc, etc... I do have a couple of questions though, just a few things I've been wondering about. First.... does doing the number crunching thing with the game give those players a advantage in combat? I've heard quite a few different answers, I just wanna know what the pple on here think about this. Second.. wth is "permadom"? LOL.

I have to agree with the naysayers on the heal issue. The day someone invites my PB to a team for the purpose of healing is the day I'll probably kill (delete) both of my PB toons. I can't speak on the photon seekers/pets issue due to the fact.. I don't use em. Photon seekers just get on my nerves, especially since I'm easily distracted. The one time I did use them..(test run for the power) I ended up face down because I was watching them instead of my actual toon. Of course this coulda had something to due with the fact I was also in Light Form at the time (LMAO).

Anyway.. on the heal issue... PB's IMO are meant to be the all around AT, which is why they have a outside heal power in the first place. To add a AoE heal/team heal would complete fly in the face of the idea behind the archtype. PB's are not meant to act as support, they are meant to lead teams to victory, even when the person isn't the one with the star. More than a few times I have been on a mish team (not a farm) and with out anything being said about it, the team has ended up giving me the lead. I might not have the star but where I go they follow. I think this has alot to do with a PB's ability to do pretty much everything all the other ATs can do. Maybe not as well, but can still do.

PB's... depending on ur playstyle, can make good blasters, a decent tank. (within reason), they have a few AoEs, a few melee powers, and even a heal other power for those emergency heals on the designated team healer. This is why I personally think PB's are THE BEST AT in the game. Not saying some tweaking here and there wouldn't be welcomed, but overall I see nothing wrong with the archtype. Well except for the whole... PB's were first "advertised" as being "epic" and I don't see where the "epic" comes from. My idea of epic would be a demi-god sorta AT. Now THAT is something we should be asking for.

I don't see what the big deal is with the rating system. I mean seriously.. who cares. What one person views as trolling or w/e, another person might see as simply expressing a different opinion. With so many different pple using the forums its impossible to adhere to what everyone views as "nice, polite, etc..." so why even bother. I haven't turned mine off but its not like I pay attention to it either, I will continue to express my thoughts and opinions no matter what ANYONE says or thinks. I would suggest everybody else does the same, because u'll drive urself crazy if u start fretting over what random pple on a forum think of u.

I also have a lvl 47 PB who has some killer KB. I recently had a lil spat with the leader of a ITF team due to my constant use of KB. He/she starting cussing and "yelling" at me because everytime he/she got aggro I would "take it away". IMO.... if u can't deal with KB then u shouldn't invite a toon onto a team whose has KB on a majority of their powers. Everybody knows that PB's in general produce a major amount of KB. (We also put on one hell of a light show......can't wait for issue 16 to go live LOL). I know this thread isn't about PB's, but it seems to have turned in the direction of KB in general so I feel PB's are revelant here. Eng/Eng blasters along with PB's can be a nuisance if used improperly,BUT if used in the right way (according to the mission) they can be the teams greatest asset.

I have a 50 eng/eng blaster and I nuke whenever I feel its necessary. This is usually saved for right before dying or when it can help the team stay alive a little longer. It DEFINITELY depends on whether ur on a farming team or running a REAL mission. A farming team is based on speed kills which can be detered by KB. A real mission is all about staying alive and if ur team is about to wipe a well placed/timed nova CAN save the day. But I also always announce right before I nuke just out of respect for my teamates.

I've read through the first page of this thread and IMO it seems that most pple are referring to farming teams. I could very well be wrong though. Reason I say this is it seems like everybody wants to kill fast and get things over with quickly. My playstyle flys in the face of all this. I enjoy a LONG fight with a baddie or mobs. My eng/eng blaster knocks pple all over the place and I use it like there is no tommorrow. I've been kicked from teams before because of this, but I've also been thanked for doing this just as many times. So it all really depends on who ur teaming with, also it helps to let the team leader know about ur playstyle as soon as u get on a team. That way he can decide before starting anything if ur playstyle is gonna click with the rest of the team or what there going to be doing. Farming teams don't usually like knockback, but real mish teams mostly appreciate it.

Yeah.. it blew my damn mind when I saw those concepts. As much as I would like to... I can't take credit for them though. I didn't design those... I just found em one night while bs'ing on the web. I will say though that I DID show them to Nivene and was told that they WOULD BE FORWARDED TO THE RIGHT PEOPLE.
