Lets expand on that:
Would people PAY for an entire graphic overhaul? Say the amount a new game would cost? If the gameplay would not be altered but the graphics got a big boost?

I would and i would most likely pay up to £20 for it too.
Perhaps the dev's would release it on disk with all the issues up to 13 on it as well, so that way it would warrant it actually being on a disk.

It would also give people the option of an upgrade to graphics, so if they just wanted to play the game as it is they wouldn't need to buy the new disk. while people who do, like new comers would get treated to the shiney new graphics as well as all the issues in hardcopy form.

Wow some nice stuff here so far especially mininukette's pyramid that must have taken forever.

Rather curious about this but how many people would prefer that the dev's forgo an issue for an entire graphics overhaul? or even a new paid expansion?

I don't mind either way if we get a graphics upgrade or not, however i do know a lot of people out there that would join CoH if it wasn't for the fact the graphics are somewhat dated these days, so if it brings a whole new crop of people then i am most certainly up for it.

Was currently thinking how well a elec/shield brute would do, 2 teleport AoE's sounds tasty

prob meant to post this in questions, anyway terrify used to do a -acc debuff in it ages ago, not sure now days since the attack really should be slotted for either damage or for fear but never for the -acc since it was enhanceable if i remember correctly.

I too can also see the point of buffs getting nerfed as well as debuffs getting equally nerfed, i just don't see the point of decaying heals, it has effectively made my own empath become somewhat flaccid since whats the point of healing someone or even myself since if its just going to do a +46 heal after repeated heals (no im not joking my heal aura went as low as that ) oh well suppose i can take hypernoob or phaseshift now that dual builds are out...

Yeah i remember that one, even tried looking around for it before posting this idea up since i wanted to make sure. Oh well hopefully it will get added when the new website gets put up... eventually

As the title suggests a Server status monitor on the website would be a handy thing i believe.
Basically it would tell everyone when the server is down for maintenance or open or even to go as far as full (not gonna happen i know :P ).
That way one doesn't have to keep repeatedly clicking on the log in button to find out whether or not the server is open.

Sadly no flashy names for this one, simply put its Christmas time defiant style.

Christmas time is almost upon us and with the winter event, so figured it would be best to get this up as soon as possible so that the word could get spread around the server especially to those out there that don't read the forums *gives disgruntled looks*

Since this is a time of giving and sharing it makes perfect sense to host the event in pocket D so that both heroes and villains can participate. So to start things off we are going to have the traditional server Christmas photo. After that we will be hosting a Cossy contest with 3 categories with cash prizes for each one. The categories are:

Most cutest costume.
Most ugly costume.
And the last category is your Characters costume but with a hint of Christmas to it.

After the cossy contest we are going to try something a little different and somewhat inspired by this thread here Granite jumping
So basically we are going to get several granite tanks/brutes and as many kins as we get and see if we can make a whole load of granite tanks/brutes jump. Now as interesting that is to see, we need to make those granite tanks/brutes try out some stuff, so we need a few things for these guys to do. So far what i have planned is grante ski sloping as well as seeing if we can get our granites to jump to the floating van in pocket D, if anyone has any extra ideas for what we can do here feel free to throw them in.

The Last event planned is a Christmas rumble, seeing as it will hopefully be i13 soon, i figured it might be a good thing to try and get a little bit of casual pvp in, a sort of just for fun thing so we can try a few team matches, small level matches and the odd free for all or 2 (which in i12 i would be all against but seeing as how every Archtype will now be "balanced" it shouldn't matter what you bring, hopefully).

So that's the Christmas event we have planned for you fine folks of defiant, i know some people where hoping for more GM hunts, rampages and the sorts, fear not that's what new years is for

Once again for those not paying attention :P The expected date for the Christmas event will be Wednesday the 17th of December for a 7:30-8:00 pm start

ZOMG!! no more looking up to try and find out which teleporter to use, this is epic. Just hope where not getting played around with here and it makes it to live

Scrapper: - Spine / SR / Body - This combo is a fantastic arena dueling scrapper, again this is taking into account purpled, accoladed and proc'd attacks. you can get elude down to such a short timer that when it drops you can pop a blue hit conserve power and phase and wait the 30 seconds, it means you have very little downtime of elude downtime, it also means you dont need to take fitness, you take medicine, speed, leaping and concealment, once again i say this over spine/regen purely because it will beat alot wider variety of sets, here is an example of this build i made just so you can understand what im going on about...

Awesome vid interesting to see they did 20 in talos and 21 in pi me thinks that be a challenge

I plan on doing another rikti rage the next time its raid week, however seeing as there isn't going to be one for a while guess we will have to make do with the Christmas event i have in the works
