That's right folks where going to try for a hami raid on the 1st of march (its a Sunday btw). To occur after robot rampage 5 so will be after midday. Defiant will try another organized attempt at taking down the ever so tough hamidon.

The level requirement for this will be a strict lv50 only and will require our server to be very organized, so to make sure that we actually beat him this time i am going to do a sign up thread here since it will be first come first serve for certain archtypes which ill come back to later.

In order to make sure everyone has a slight idea of what to expect i shall direct you to the Hamido Raid article in city of heroes wiki. To ensure our success i request (not a demand so your not forced too) that if you have the time or spare merits to pick up the following:

Shivian Shard
Bio Nuke
Chem Nuke
Vanguard mech

These will only be employed upon the Nucleus Phase at my standing order.

As for the last and most needed item essence of earths we will have to do a giant monster hunt in PI to ensure everyone gets at least 10-15 of these. Which will occur after Robot Rampage 5. All People participating in this will be required to hunt in their designated teams, which leads on to my next point...

Team make up

Right moving back to teams the first two teams will be yellow status teams which consist of 6melee based characters and one buffer to help the team survive better and one debuffer to help killing off the mito's quicker. Why do we need to yellow teams i hear you ask, simple question I've noticed in the past (very) few raids that defiants biggest hurdle is getting rid of the annoying yellow mito's with they're untyped damage and knockback.

The Blue team will consist of 7 ranged damage dealers and one debuffer since the need for a buffer will not be needed since they will be getting there support from the leading team.

Green Team, The green team will consist of 8 controllers nothing more needs to be said about that apart from the fact it will be nice to have an even mix of secondary powers.

The 5th team also known as the leader group will consist of myself, 2 tanks which will alternate at tanking the hamidon nucleus. By alternate i mean if one tank goes down or his buff's are running out then we will send in the second to pick up where the other left off. The tanks i would prefer to have a high regen since defense is somewhat a useless thing to have against hammi's attacks. The other members of the team will have to be a dark defenders for the mass rez and a trick arrow character for the mass rez to work. The other team mates required will be a Kin character for speed buff's, another empath and a rad. One of the 5 support characters will be required to have a teleport friend power.

As for general tactics the best and fastest way is to have all teams attack there targets at them same time so within the first attack the 2 yellow teams are expected to take down 2 yellow mito's each, the blue team are required to take down 2 blues at least and green team i will expect nothing more then one since they are rather tricky to kill, however anything more then that in one run is a bonus.
While all this is going on the tanks in the leader team will be holding hammi's aggro.

And there we have it the team make up, all that's left is sign up's and advertisement. Since not everyone reads the boards if possible can we get a mention of this on the defiant events channel as well as pass this around by word of mouth, also all people that wish to join Must Sign Up so i can keep a tab of who we need and what we have, also those that sign up, please don't drop out or not show up without at least giving some notice so we are not left short handed.

Well that depends on if we go for the hammi raid as well or just stick to gm hunting. However the lack of interest for the event might have to mean a push back on the date

Howdy folks Omega MCX here, i was kinda hopeing to do the new Robot Rampage straight after new years, but as some might of noticed i haven't been in game for over a month now due to PC issues. Well all that is now a thing of the past since i now have my pc back and its new and improved .

Anyway back to the main topic at hand, Robot Rampage 5. I'm thinking of hosting this on Saturday the 21st of February. So as usual i am now asking for members of our fellow community to join together and participate in this lovely social event by helping with the Krono Titan spawns by being bait.

The job of bait is to do the Crimson arc "Project: world wide red" arc and do all the missions up to the "stop all wildflower agents" mission (9th mission in the arc). Once this mission has been completed instead of clicking on the mission exit button the mission owner Must use they're teleport to pocket D temp power and go to pocket D straight away from there you character will be safe from the ambush that occurs after the mission which will be the Kronos titan.

Preferably tanks and scrappers are the best choice for doing this arc since they can handle malta's stuns and also they have a better chance of surviving a kronos titans attacks. However you can use whatever you feel most at home with just make sure to bring purples so you can survive the krono's attacks if you going to try using a different arcthype.
My suggestion for those interested in being bait is to use ouroboros rather then doing this through crimson normally at least you'll know what arc your dealing with then and wont have to mess with annoying side missions. Also fear not, you will spawn a giant monster level Kronos titan regaurdless of level so feel free to do the arc in heroic which would take most people an hour to do.


Now after the event we have two options which i am now going to put to a public vote. Our options are thus we can finish off the night like usual and go on a random GM hunt, or we can try a proper stab at hami. If we choose to do the latter then it would be nice if we could organize this into another thread since i want a proper raiding experience for this, maybe even make this the primary event and finishing off with robot rampage afterward as an after party thing.

Just a heads up if i mysteriously dc and not come back during a night, that's my computer dieing on me. however that wont be for long since i have a new graphics card +hard drive on the way.

Might be an idea to set up a global channel for this so we can team manage a lot easier and help us keep tabs on the total amount of people up for this.

As for base issues, we have plenty of room in the swords base if its just for teleporting reasons and people are free to leave anytime they want.

Myself and a housemate are currently in a pact with our recently made fire/rad and a /kin. If its ok for us to both join in then ill tell him about this and we will be happy to help out.

Its called taunt/confront, with the new changes it forces your opponent to close the distance to you to be able to fight back.
