Both Deadpool and Lobo should easily survive a direct hit... not for their healing powers but because both of them are practically immortal.

Don´t make your toons too big or they´ll take up too much of your screen.
If possible hover over ice, otherwise positioning yourself could become a problem.
Make sure to kill off Red Caps as fast as possible, once provoked they only get stronger given time.
When not on a team, don´t turn your back on a defeated Freak until he starts to fade.
During Zone events stay far off the ground or around Drones.
While Trick-or-Treating and opening Presents keep your travel power on. You might need to get way... fast.
