    No, procs are completely independent on how much damage if any the power does. As long as a power hits, whether it’s normally a damage dealing power or not, any damage proc slotted in that power will do damage.

    not sure i understand this one.

    does the type of set means something?

    let's take 2 exemples.

    1/ arctic air.

    it can take slow, fear and confusion proc.
    if i put a slow or fear proc i assume it will follow the 10 sec rule as those two component are automatic un AA.

    but if i put a chance for psi proc from a confuse set? will it proc every 10 s for any mob/player in the radius or will it proc only when the target get confused? (like the coercive persuasion proc)

    2/hotfeet.
    same issues. it can take slow set damage proc (auto hit and automatic) and AoE or PbAoE (i don't remember) set damage proc.
    will the proc of a PBaOE will proc when i have a mob in the radius (it is then slowed) or when i damage them)
    to sum up is it necessarry to increase the accuracy o this power?

    whirlwind hand do ot animate properly anymore. the very hand of the anuimation (the fist on the floor) is skipped.

    and this one: "defiance 2.0". a real issue

    personnally i would not mind if the "damn tankmage" is a good player.

    the problem is that a FoTM can tear you apart even if it's his first PvP experience.
    in the same way some build can kite, use lot of skill and so one to just be blocked by a xp or a single power and then destroyed in 10 seconde.

    Dear Empathy Controllers,

    I am sorry that you have to eat the full accuracy penalty on all of your AoE controls. I'm sure that makes your early life very difficult, given that all you have to contribute at those levels are these tools us poor saps the Dominators make do with plus the hands-down most-valued Buff set in the game. With two heals in the early levels where they're incredibly visible, it must be a harsh burden to bear, occasionally being the difference between a successful Sewer team and an unsuccessful one. I'm sorry that it's so easy for you to get teams in the early levels because low-level players put so much more emphasis on Heals than they do on anything else. It must make that decision between Fortitude and Stamina at level 20 just that much harder.

    Dear Force Field Controllers,

    I'm sorry you picked Force Field as your secondary. No, seriously, I feel for you from the bottom of my heart. It must burn that the only three powers in your secondary which are demonstrably superior to the Mastermind versions are also simultaneously the weakest and most useless powers in your secondary. I know if that happened to me, I'd lose sleep over it almost every night. But, look on the bright side: if you chose Fire or Earth control as your primary, you have a second ranged AoE stun to stack on top of the one in your primary. In fact, as I understand it, you can actually make your version of it perma against even-cons — go you! That may be only a small comfort if you happen to know that Storm Summoning has a PBAoE power which does the same thing without the requisite knockback, but it's best not to dwell on these things. And, hey, at least you can "stealth" missions with relative ease, thanks to that forced pick of Personal Force Field. And seriously — I really do feel for you guys. Maybe your next Controller won't suck as much.

    +def or heal IMO can deals with a AoE root that miss. and even after it can help to deal with the aggro.

  13. a wayto boost them would be to get rid of the poor base acc they have.

    controller only have to trigger a debuff to counter that. we can't.
  14. i wish any fight would be fun.
    the my power counter yours (and sometimes counter your AT totally) should be changed
    an emp or a kin make too much difference.

    some AT have easy life in PvP comparing to other that need to stack power or kite etc.
    the problem is that the AT that need effort have no "reward" for being that hard.when you have to stack holds, or debuff and then several time your attack chain to kill a squishy, it's very frustrating to see how a blaster a ice/em tank only have to run and then "click-click" to totally destroy you.

    your suggestions are all great but they do not fix the 2 main problems that are
    1/to few villain PvP
    2/heroes>villains imbalance which is the cause to the problem number 1 IMO)

    i will not mind all the "lol noob there is no imbalance" that could (will?) be posted as i know that any real PvPer will at least agree with me on that

    heroes are happy of how things are. they like free kill and like broken PvP. they have it .
    sometimes they got buff when they cries on the boards.

    no everything seems fine like lot of heroes claim .

    personnally i suggest an equality between the control set numbers.
    i really see no reason why villain side all secondary effect would have their numbers lowered.
  18. what exactly is not powerboostable in plant?(exept spirit three maybe)

    even the set that benefit the least of domination (ice control) got it's tool boosted by powerboost(shiver for exemple)

    i don't see of which power you are talking about. give me clues.

    thing are power boost plus tactics = a little aim.
    the + damage component is not that interesting. our damage cap is not high enough and when buffed aim become basically a plus acc only.

    the thing is youhave lot of way to boost you acc or your tohit (IO, yellow, buff) but you can't have another way to get a powerboost effect.
    (for exemple:

    GDF with aim slotted for rech and hold.(3 hold,3 rech)
    acc: 113.9%(60) / rech: 120,6 / hold duration: 23.7

    with PB(3 rech, 2 acc, 1 hold)
    acc: 110%(60) / rech: 120.6 / hold duration: 34.7

    sadly my builder don't see the number a PB+tactic gives but i assume we can't get rid of on acc too have: 3 rech, 1acc, 2hold
    which would put the hold duration to 41 sec.

    the acc become more or less the same. it means that if you take hasten to get rid of some rech enhancement ; both will be able to raise their acc but only a /ice or /energie dom will be able to raise the lengh.

    another exemple
    total focus stun duration with PB = 37.1 sec
    ST hold slotted with 3 hold (without PB) = 35.6

    after having played with powerboosted vengence, powerboosted slows, powerboosted AoE hold powerboosted buff, it's very incapaciting to play without.

    maybe FE is fine as the boost in damage is longer but it encounter the same issues when buffed.

    i think it's a too hard punition for those who did not take it. i don't see why only those who took ice or energie assault should be rewarded.

    it boost the slow, AoE hold become interesting (even unslotted it last longer than a non powerboosted but boosted AoE hold), make vengence a godly power, and aidself a reliable heal (i will stop here the list)

    only /psi with drain psyche good a similary very strong tool but honneslty i find the gap between PB and FE/aim being too vast.

    must admit i do not see how that would be fixed
  21. i don't agree on that. i prefer a ST hold like grav/ or ice/ for the slow.

    i don't compare the AT i compare the way a same power was balanced in fonction of the specificity of an AT.

    they copied a power and lowered it's defense but they did not adapted it to the dominator archetype.
  22. impal i a wonderfull power when on a meleer as it give them ranged damage, high damage, a mezz(immobilise) and a -fly.

    the animation is fine as the ratio damage/security is ok.

    a dom version have 2 times less damage for a immo -fly you can have on a ST root. and a dom has less security in using it (less life, no heal, res or defense)

    if the damage were the same i could understand .in the same way of total focus: big damage = big activation time (but even for TF the ration damage/lengh is insanely bad). but it's not the case.

    it's the smae problem when you compare thornburst to ice sword circle.


    anyway nobody can tell me why ice swords do not bother with redraw?

    like thorny assault so i come back again on that. i think that some animation time should be shortened. (impal,thornburst and ripper for exemple.)for exemple ice sword circle cast time is 1.5, the one of thornburst is 3. personnally i think that any animationtime longer than 2 sec (all but snipe) should be reported as broken.

    i honnestly don't see what thorny assault get for it's redarw, it's lethal damage and it's long animation time

    for the redraw, how is it that no icy assault sword power cause pause, redraw or cut in the mouvement?
    is it a different coding? why not "code" thorny assault the same then? (i'm not a devellopper or even an informaticien so the word "code" may not be the better. but it's the idea)

  25. it's sad to see that the game is going to become a all for stuff/farm game.

    what made me choose CoX was the super hero theme.
    what made me stay on CoX was the facthat there were no epic weapon, no farm to get THE stuff that would makes you uber.

    that plus the fact that dev tend to give the same powerset to all the AT make me fear that CoX is becoming slowly a WOW like game.

    and i almost forgot.... Invention set for DEBUFF ??! ARE YOU TOTALLY INSANE?
