Any kind of tank with the adequate healing/buffing can tank LR. In this case, with the appropriate bubble buffing from the FF troller and the help of PA, makes it easier for any tank to hold Lord Recluse. A dedicated healer is needed though.

That was a bug for LRSF not for STF, I always got a lvl50 recipe. The only bug in STF is the HO reward option.

Oh, I don't have Defiant Badgers so I couldn't see it, but I really hope it was nothing serious.

Tbh I owe you an apology Steampunkette for previous posts and now with the IO set bonuses I finally managed to get a satisfactory build for a BS/SR scrapper including Aid self, Tough and Weave following your advice and my own experience at the same time (and a travel powe too). On DM I usually find Siphon Life enough heal for most occasions (most, not all of course). I definitely feel more comfortable with Tough in my build not only for the 18% dmgres, but also because it allows me to place the unique Steadfast Enhancement that adds +3% defense to the build, hence at the same time I help compensate the dmgres weak point and maximize the strongest point of the powerset which is defense. Anyway, I tried them on Nightmarer after a respec and because I wasn't happy with the original build, so I guess LN shoould give a go to the build he/she sees more fit and if not happy then take a look at our suggestions.

It should, it's just as per my own experience with Nightmarer, I felt he was a little short in defense plus some dmgres is always welcome. I had all the SR powers plus CJ plus Hover, I respecced and took Tough and weave and I feel more comfortable with DM/SR now, hence my advice.

I checked and your build as it is gives you 34.3% defense. If you can add Tough and Weave and use 5 instead of 4 slots in Focused Senses and Focused Fighting, equipping Tough with the +3% def unique enhc from steadfast plus the 5% from Weave your defense gets boosted to around 42% plus if you equip Smite with full Mako's Bite set you get a 3.75% ranged defense bonus that gets you over the soft cap in ranged plus if you use Scirocco's Dervish full set in your Shadow Maul that will give you 3.13% AoE defense bonus hence you are also over soft cap in AoE defense. Your "weak" point would be Melee defense with "only" 42%, I'm pretty sure there's a set that offfers a Melee defense bonus (I think it was 1.88%) but I don't remmeber which one was it. Anyway melee range attackers should be the ones to deal with first so I would leave Melee defense on 42%. Slotting that way would leave you as a perma-elude scrapper (with no debuffs) in AoE and Ranged.
The DM/SR I'm working currently on is aimed that way (hopefully, depends on inf and lucky drops).

Tbh, in my own experience with DM/SR I feel that SR needs a little bit addition besides the 9 powers. With this build you should get about 33% defense, I'd honestly try squeeze fighting pool in so you can make your defense around 40% with weave plus a decent 18% resistance on tought to add to the inherent bonus resistance of your passives, besides, if you can fit the unique Stadfast enhancement that grants you 3% additional defense, that will take you only 3% below the defense soft cap, plus decent dmg resistance and the stacked tohitdebuffs of Dark Melee.

On your current build, Focused Accuracy with just 1 end rdx will keep you perma-drained, at lvl 41 you should have enough money to byt 3 Cytoskeleton Exposures to be put in Focused Accuracy, saving endurance and a nice slot.

(Note that the numbers I gave might be wrong since I am in the office and don't have Mid's hero designer at hand)

They dont really need any justification do they, they are PvP'ing in a PvP zone.

If that annoys you, might be best to not go to the pvp zone to farm, but either way its not an exploit its you going to a PvP for 1 reason and doing your thing and them going to a PvP zone for their reason, and doing their thing.

Thats just my opinion of course, and im not saying either of you are in the wrong, just disagreeing on what an exploit actually is

Hammerfall already corrected me on that, someone defined it as an exploit and I followed. PvP itself is not annoying, what is annoying is someone to pick on you because you made him/her faceplant on first encounter and he/she won't stop until he faceplanted you several times usually with additional help. Anyway, it is of course a risk of getting into a PvP area. In my opinion (and it is only my opinion) it is just a matter of a few ppl not knowing when enough is enough, I find it tricky when, well, you're entitled to PvP in a PvP area, but there's a thin line between healthy PvPing and chase someone just for the pleasure of driving him/her out of the area. Anyway, sometimes you're lucky and don't find certain people and sometimes you aren't and find them, with the rule book in the hand, you are warned when entering a PvP area and there's not much to do when you are chased besides leaving the area.

Exploit is used as a term about utilizing game system in a way thats not officially allowed. Farming turrets etc is not forbidden, therefore they are not exploits.

Utilizing glitches and bugs to your advantage however is an exploit, for example.

Well, it is an exploit exactly the same way it is an exploit to farm turrets as has been previously mentioned in the thread. I am not saying that I disagree on the other hand, if the exploit is there and the devs don't want the game to be exploited it is their job to amend it, in fact it somehow justifies some people's attittude no matter how annoying I find it sometimes, I honestly prefer to think that they are after a toon trying to get a good recipe than just for plain annoyance, which is sad in my opinion (just an opinion of course). I myself have broadcasted a few times during reset that I was turning toggles off for anyone to kill me repeatedly in case they got a lucky salvage/recipe drop.

Although I only go to RV to farm turrets and I am the first one who loses the temper when repeatedly stalked (very much regretting my comments afterwards and under the solmn purpose of keeping them to myself and apologize to a couple stalkers next time I see them in RV), I totally agree on the point of view that farming is an exploit to the game. On the other hand, some people claim they received good drops for killing another player, even wings recipes (dunno if for example I could drop recipes when defeated). If that is true, then being constantly ambushed by two or three villains (in my case, heroes in other cases) is also a system exploit and a very annoying one IMO.

I once was attacked by a brute while fighting a Tarantula Mistress and after killing both almost at same time I got a Tech Wings recipe drop, tbh I never knew if the wings came from the brute or from the Tarantula Mistress (although I repeatedly thanked the brute for such a nice present).
