A friend and I were talking about this, and we thought that the Presence pool could also be a lack of presence, i.e. Placate. I can think of a lot of heroes (or villains) could find some use out of a placate. Also, this wouldn't over-power stalkers as they would have to pick two or three powers to get to this. Just for fun.

I usually go with primary damage dealers. I also took [Power Build Up] from the APPs, and fire that off before fort on either the squishies who keep ending up in the middle of things (namely blasters), or on tanks/brutes with a non-defense based set (electricity, fire, dark [depending on build]).

All Dark Miasma/Melee/Blast powers cannot have light shades/hues. I think they made PD and Empathy the way they are because of thematic reasons. A villain cannot feel empathy (the intellectual identification with or vicarious experiencing of the feelings, thoughts, or attitudes of another) as they have usually become disconnected to society or other people in general. In the same respect, heroes cannot (or rather should not) use the Pain Domination set, as it is rather self-serving. However, I do agree that both sets should be able to change their color as they see fit. One could argue that a villain might use PD as a false empathy; to trick people into thinking they care.

Just as electrical blasts don't "miss" with the animations, I would love to see eye beam powers not "miss". There is little in this game that makes less sense than a player shooting eye beams straight up into the air instead of the enemy directly in front of them. With the beams still aimed at the target but missing, you could at least argue that you misjudged the distance, it was absorbed, or just slightly deflected. As the case now, I have to pretend every character with an eye beam also has ADHD and will look at anything shiny in the room instead of their target.
