While there's obviously RP reasons for certain helmets being certain gender, the issue here's that it restricts the bonus to certain character types, which forces them (if they care about the item) to A) go to a particular store or B) make a particular gender character. Comparing:

CoH Pre-Order: Prestige Sprint, different depending on the store, but available to all your characters no matter what.
CoH DVD: Power Slide, available to all your characters.
CoV Pre-Order: Prestige Helmet (sic), different depending on store... but also only available to one model?

It would've made more sense to have an inherent power, a la Prestige... maybe a shinier Brawl/Rest if you want something different. Ha.

And there's not even an option for Huge models? (Assuming there is a huge model at all, I suppose.) Feh.

Edit: Ah, hell. The GameStop helmet reminds me way too much of the helmets from AO. *grumble* On the upside, having the helmets available later = good thing.

Random tangent: Just realized something -- pre-orders are going through before we know the subscription model (for either standalone or CoV/CoH dual)?
