Quote:Great. The Guild Wars 2 OS X client, just like the City of Heroes OS X client, runs on top of Transgaming's Cider. Not native... but it seems Blizzard is the only one that actually makes a native OS X MMO.
Here I thought they'd actually make the game native.

In semi-related news, SWTOR is slated to go F2P in the next month or so.
All I have to say is "that was fast." -
Quote:As far as models go, yes. But some of the textures they pack away for the female armor... well, let's just say it'd probably be better off not doing a google search for them. That also may be key to Warcraft's success. It's not offensive to most women because unlike most MMOs it does not go crazy in the skinemax fan-service.
Looking at you, SWTOR. -

What about expressing my distaste in a civil manner? Because I've been trying to do that.

I'm pretty sure that's an industry production secret somewhere.

The more I see of this new game the more I'm convinced it's softcore porn.

A note to anyone at work: DO NOT GOOGLE IMAGE SEARCH BLADE AND SOUL.

Quote:His topic is referring to the mass email they just sent to all NCSoft accountholders.
Which is actually pretty painful. It's like they cut us open and then offered us this as a band-aid.
A band-aid made of salt. -
Look at that woman's head in the second picture.
Look at it.
Look at it. -
Quote:I know as much (if not more) than you on that subject, so I know it's not guess work. It's painful to watch nonetheless.
BTW, this is not just guess work. Back in 2009 they used the same wording (refocusing publishing support) to justify NCSoft West -across the board layoffs. Shortly after ArenaNet came forth to clarify they got extra budget/manpower thanks to the misfortune of the fired employees across other studios. -
Bump it up to $2000 so we can also buy them drinks & dessert and a cigar!

Quote:The more I think about it, the more that statement flies through my head.Ah... so THERE is where Paragon Studio's lost publishing support is being realigned towards: the westernization of that game.
Edit: interesting that the announcement was done one week before Paragon got canned, and the websites that got the scoop got embargoed until two weeks after the announcement of Paragon Studios shutdown...
"And now the truth comes out." -
Alright, I know this is one of those CoH Forum Memes, but I am going to say with all of my inborn honesty that this is a slap in the face. I'm not joking whatsoever.
First, NC kills my MMO with no explanation. Then, we find out that they shot themselves in the foot with their terrible, homogeneous, grindy MMO's and funding a brand new one, and decided to axe an American MMO to make up for it. Then they fail to deliver any sort of update on our game services, while Paragon does their best to keep us in the loop. NOW I find out they're porting this Aion clone over to America not even two weeks after putting the knife into City of Heroes? One of the MMO's, I might add, that's responsible for their huge losses last quarter?
I don't care how overused it is on these forums or how much hyperbole comes with it. This is a slap in the face. -
Soon as I get paid tomorrow I'll pitch in. Paragon has made my evenings enjoyable, so why not give back?

Holy **** that pisses me off.

ermagerd virture
... I'm sorry. -
I can't disclose that; not because I don't know, but out of respect for the people I interacted with. I'll just say that I got very lucky and was seen by the right people, and my passion for the game made me their top choice for interviewee.

No kidding? Your link 404'd for me and mine works fine. Did we cross tubes here?
Edited OP just in case.
