To be clear: the code for sharing costume pieces between City of Heroes and City of Villains is NOT yet in...heck, it isn't even written yet. BUT we'll do it after release - hopefully very soon after release. Then heroes can have access to the new options.

To be honest, this idea came specifically from this thread. Since people wanted the new costume options, I checked with Software - who said it could be done. Just wanted to let you know that yes, we do take suggestions!

FYI - for those who don't like the idea because villains should look different than heroes - remember that villains already have hero options. They can create a character identical to one that exists in City of Heroes.

    Huzzah! ^_^ Thanks, Mr. Statesman!

    That's disappointing.

I think villains should have some options solely for them, and the same for heroes.

If all options are available to both sides, and eventually you can swap sides so all ATs will be on both sides, what makes them different? Nothing. It'll just be one big city of...sameness.

    Poop.

Except for the missions, and the enemies you fight, and the areas you're in, and the fact that you CAN make a villainous character in CoV or an uberhero in CoH quite easily regardless of what other people do.

Costumes are completely and totally cosmetic. How does it hurt your gaming experience if I want to have a superhero with digitigrade legs (the Monstrous legs option)?

Hehhe... all my characters will be getting at least one CoV piece. One will even be getting a new face from CoV.

Similar thing here...I'm planning out a hero already with sewn-shut eyes and mouth, as a part of his backstory and the origin of his powers. Kind of a warped magic Dr. Mid-Nite thing...

Bottom line is if to this point heroes all looked like the Superman, Shazzam and the Flash a lot more people would feel “Villainous” when playing CoV with big ol’ devil horns and monstorous legs.

Bottom line is if the heroes all looked like Superman, Shazam, and the Flash, a lot fewer people would be playing City of Heroes.

Exactly. I want heroes to look like Midnighter, Jenny Sparks, The Engineer, The Carrier and Swift. Unpossible!

Wait, you want your Hero to look like a 60 mile long interdimensional space ship?! I don't think the extra options are going to help you. Did you mean to say The Doctor?

My 2 cents? More options are good, but it's also nice to be able to tell the good from the bad at a glance. Yes, there are "evil looking" heroes in the literature, but if you open the floodgates, you might as well change the name of the game to City of Skull-Headed Demons (Be They Heroes OR Villains).

Incidently, I think you could do all of The Authority under the current CoH costume options.

What about the chick with the wings?
  5. That does really, really, really suck...I preordered through Gamestop as well two days ago.

"Your order should be shipped within 24 hours".
It's now....about 36 hours since I ordered it. Still unshipped.

And the people at the Gamestop back home are so nice, too...guess it's just the website that sucks.
  6. JACKETS!

Finally, FINALLY I have an option for 'street clothes' other than a sweater, a short-sleeved T, or that godawful tank top...
