In fact, we're the only species on the planet that works this way. Mammals, birds, reptiles, fish - all of the males are naturally more attractive (due to the abundance of females and their need to attract a mate). Humans work backwards.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not true, take a look at some insects and arachnids.
[/ QUOTE ]
Can we compare ourselves to creatures that have only got four limbs please, because anything more than that is just creepy.
[/ QUOTE ]
Your avatar has a tail.
[/ QUOTE ]
Touche
Of course, he doesn't have insect style armour (carapace?)or arachnid style eyes or anything else that creepy -

I doubt very much there's a single female on this planet who couldn't be made to look gorgeous.
[/ QUOTE ]
But that shouldn't be our defining trait, or what we're judged on
[/ QUOTE ]
Shouldn't be? What happens if a female (or male, for that matter) chooses that to be their defining trait - are you wanting to remove their ability to choose?
Regardless of what we may think of someone who simply wants to look beautiful, to the exclusion of all else, surely it would be worse if we remove the freedom of choice from them? -

If I run into a semi naked female toon with a hook for a hand, robot legs and an exposed brain I sigh and move on.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, I'd have a check for a bio. If there is one there and it's well written, I'd probably appreciate it more, than if they had no background whatsoever. -
[ QUOTE ]
Or do you just shrug and move on with you life?
[/ QUOTE ]
That's the one.
The clever costumes I've seen in the game have all been fully clothed (Zortel's Cauter, for example).
I've never done anything other than laugh at a character who wears practically nothing (and that being said, some of Weasel's non-speedo based outfits are actually pretty good).
Do they look heroic or evil? Or contain hints of it (patch of zombified skin showing)?
That's what impresses myself. -
I've been playing an Ice/TA for a little while now - should hit level 30 this weekend with them.
I team with a fire blaster and find that I usually open attacks with Blind Arrow/Ice Slick, Ice Arrow Hold, Ice Hold (don't get ice single target immobilize - it's a major End hog) and ensure you remove Web Arrow from your tray asap.
Assuming anything survives the fiery onslaught after that, I keep reapplying holds. EB's require Glue Arrow and Acid Arrow (which is really good, ups the blaster's damage).
I've still to get Disruption Arrow too.
Ice group immobilise is good to keep the group together for Fireball/RoF/Fire Breath attacks from the blaster.
To be honest, I doubt I'd have managed solo with this character, but it's much fun in a duo and since it is a Fire blaster I team with, I've got Aid Other/Aid Self too (and they've been so needed). -
Well you could.... but we don't demand that sort of generosity from anyone except Bridger.

You cant have FIVE people win Creative Genius though in one month
*points to title* It doesnt say Genii
Chiefette
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm nominating a submission by five people. Bridger can choose which one is most deserving
[/ QUOTE ]
But... and thanks for the nomination by the way.... surely we've already decided which fez wearing person is most deserving amongst ourselves? -
I file this under the usual "I want therefore I must have" affliction that runs through society these day.
Kheldians require relearning how to play the game after spending so much time being "Uber" at levels 40-50. There are different levels of what you can handle with a Kheldian that even the most proficient level 50 would have to readjust their playing style to. -

For info: I have no idea when Issue 8 will go up
[/ QUOTE ]
Tuesday past there Sar
(I know, I know *slaps self*) -
Hey! Excellent.
Now you can learn to die in all new ways
Gratz FG. -
Okay I've had a blast with this all day now, but my RL stamina is failing. Think FG's about half way there now, so I'd heartily recommend you head on over there and see if there's space
Much fun.
Oh and bring Awakens -
As already stated, one non taunting, non taunt slotted Tank ready for duty.
Debt not a problem for me either -

I was talking Deviant anyway.
Theres a Deviant lowbie event on in the arena this evening actually, I'm going to try to attend and either fight or cheer on (girlfriend allowing of course)
[/ QUOTE ]
Allowing attendance or allowing you to get into that cheerleader outfit....?
*tumbleweed* -

Oh? How not?
[/ QUOTE ]
No temp powers work in the arena apart from the ones you can buy at the arena store.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ah, see I learn something new every day.
Interesting that these Vet powers are still classified as temps though. -
On any given day, I'll be humming along to Dragonheart, Superman, Michael Nyman, Mozart, The Day After Tomorrow, Tomorrow Never Dies, Independence Day (yep, I like David Arnold), Pirates of The Caribbean, Butterfly Effect, Harry Potter, any of the Star Wars scores etc. *cough*and Transformers The Movie*cough*
Every now and again, songs will appear amongst the themes, but I like my eclectic mix - it does sometimes influence my story writing as it switches from joyful to mournful.
-
[ QUOTE ]
No music for me, I find it too distracting. I keep wanting to sing along.
[/ QUOTE ]
Soundtrack music - that's what I listen to whenever I'm doing something on the computer. It can be atmospheric without having you break into song. -
After Issue 8 though? Sands of Mu and Undead Slaying axes too?
-
[ QUOTE ]
Write, please. If only so I can walk through a bookshop in five years time and screech, "Oh my god, I used to play CoH with that person! Oh my god, oh my god!"
[/ QUOTE ]
Although anyone buying a book from someone that Stasis can recognise from these forums should be committed....
"Oh my God, it's Fire Guardian/Silver Weasel/Hidden Healer/Coile etc....."
Those will be some strange dustjackets to print -

See, now THIS is what PvP should be! People having fun, friendly banter, no bad trash talk!
Oh, and me laughing over FG's derezzing carcass!
[/ QUOTE ]
I have to admit though, I'd still expect your Photon Seekers (assuming you have them) to appear and then rush off to the corner of the arena in a sulk before making a beeline for FG, arriving just a second too late. Now THEY are some of the most n00bish AI in the game.
Which doesn't reflect on anyone on this post, regardless of how quickly they've faceplanted -

Though, i have no faith in AR, or Fire, (what Epic do you have?). 10-2 on FFG for the win.
[/ QUOTE ]
He's AR/Fire! There's nothing Epic about him!
[/ QUOTE ]
You forgot his Epic "Act like a corpse" skills
[/ QUOTE ]
I thought that was an inherent, not an epic -

My money is on FG. He has the coaching of THE ALMIGHTY XANTHUS behind him. How can he lose?
[/ QUOTE ]
Did anyone else spot the answer in that question too?

First FG Attack? - Build Up, followed by Full Auto?
[/ QUOTE ]
Build up?
Please tell me you're taunting FG?
[/ QUOTE ]
Doesn't /fire have Build Up? Or at least Aim? (I know bushbaby's got both of them on her fire/fire).
Or did he just not take it.
In which case, FFM is not only going to trounce him, he's going to do it in about a minute.
