If you don't have the common courtesy to, in the least, make your communications legible and coherent then don't expect anyone to take you seriously or give you respect.

As for the thread's topic, stop being a dainty little flower that's whining about something that isn't true. AE isn't dead, the trendy crowd just moved on to the latest FOTM.

Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts and Gradius III are the games I most distinctly remember as being ridiculously hard, especially when I was a kid. I always came back to them for another beating, though.

I never really had that much trouble with the NES games besides one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle games (I forget which one,) oddly.

I think designating a server as the "official roleplaying server" would only serve to alienate the casual players and roleplayers - especially if rules were enforced as described above. More often than not I'm playing the game OOC just to have fun and normally only start roleplaying if someone else is doing it.

I also think it says a lot about a group of roleplayers if they throw a public hissy fit about people that have just as much of a right to be in Pocket D as they do, roleplaying or not. Public areas are, in fact, public.

As for the topic, how fun the game is is the most important thing but how pretty it looks can make up for some faults. From what I've seen of both CO and DCU neither look pretty nor fun to me, but that's just my opinion.

The wired.com article filled me with lulz. So many lulz. Over 9,000 lulz!
