  1. I once teamed with a Khelidan that kept dying (not the best strategist) and would ignore people offering wakeys to go straight to the hospital. When challenged, he confessed with a "lolz" he didn't know what wakeys were. He didn't know what Inspirations were either. I asked him if the account belonged to him or if he was playing on a friend's char, and amazingly it was his own. Draw your own conclusions.

Well, I bet you're gonna enjoy MA/Regen a whole lot more when you get Eagle's Claw!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Heheh, you're right! I've seen it in action a lot and can't wait for it . I also really like the idea of Dragon's Tail muaha. Pateince young padawaaan....

    [ QUOTE ]
I would consider either going with Build 3, for Stamina. Stamina and Quick Recovery on Regens means that you don't even have to look at your Endurance bar when you're fighting.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hm, yeah. I really wanted to try and get away without Stamina, since for once I might be able to on a /regen. But I'm worried that hasten + the many attacks I have might increase my eps as compared to a build with less attacks (which I usually see). I should probably sit down and work out some attack chains and math from the eps perspective.

Or, as you said, could drop a kick from Build 2 (drop Thunder Kick if you're going with this approach) and get Tough. I've got it on my Scrapper and it increases my survivability a lot.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That's helpful to know. What lvl did you start playing with Tough included? Would be great to hear opinions on this from more regen scrappers.

    [ QUOTE ]
3-slotted Health does increase your regeneration a bit, thought Fast Healing has more regeneneration, not really sure what the exact numbers are but ever little helps, lol.

    [/ QUOTE ]

IIRC, Health provides just over half the regen of Fast Healing. I like the idea of stacking more regen in, but what I'd like to know from those with experience (especially before/after respeccing) is how much Health actually does contribute to make it worth it.

    Thanks for the reply
  3. Hey all. I've recently had to solo a little and consequently been enjoying a MA/Regen scrapper. In fact, I've been enjoying him so much I've started thinking long term builds rather than seeing him as just a char to pass the time. He's currently 20 but yet to make the power pick at that level. Anyway, I've been toying with how various pools would work well together and/or with my secondary, so I'd really appreciate any constructive feedback and general opinions on the approaches below:

In build #1, I'm trying to stack the resists in Resilience with those from Tough.

In build #2, I'm going Tough with perhaps added regen from 3-slotted Health.

In build #3, I'm taking Stamina for later Focused Accuracy, which seems to be a very hungry toggle.

I suppose a further approach could be to drop a kick from build #2, thereby fitting in Tough, Health and Stamina too.

I have no experience of the higher lvls as a Scrapper. What do you lot think is the best combination of the above or otherwise? Is Stamina a must? Is Tough worth it? Does 3-slotted Health perform well in /regen? I have room in the build, so I may as well take one of these routes - instead of every choice from my primary and every choice from my secondary.

    Thanks
  4. Hehe, that might be pushing it a little for me ...

I forgot about your definition of "morning"
  5. I could probably have done this morning had I known. Oh well, Friday at 6 is cool with me Thanks for waiting.
  6. Gratz Sinergy!!

Wonder how Nine is getting along...
  7. I'll be at Posi with two chars around 6pm in case I am needed.
  8. I can probably 'kickstart' all three of you if need be. Just call.
  9. Gonna sticky this one in my favourites. Most of the info isn't news to me, but it's so clear and well presented this thread is gonna be great for refering new players to. Nice one you two
  10. Heya Nine Claws. I'll help out or be backup or whatever you need.

    FF/?

    Excellent

How are you liking the damage? And in general?

Take a look further down in this forum for some discussion from others on my FF/Sonic build if you like.
  12. MrTPF

    FF/?

Slightly off topic, but I would just like to post in defense of Energy Blast - it doesn't have to be annoying to team members due to scatter and KB. If you learn to play it well, the KB actually becomes a bonus to your team mates, even to tankers. Further, FF/ has quite a few KB- related powers itself (let's remember force fields don't just have to be shields) which reinforces the whole KB-is-a-good-defense/mitigation-power line of thought.

Having said that, if you're going for AoE dmg then Energy Blast wouldn't be my first choice. Energy Torrent is meh damage imho and you don't really get anything else big in AoE dmg till the nuke (ok, you're gonna say Explosive Blast, but draw your own conclusions).

My FF/ is /Sonic purely due to concept. I was impressed with the damage /Sonic can do - though this is partly due to DoT attacks feeling like they do loads of damage (imagine all those orange numbers), partly due to the -Res you can stack on mobs ( = more damage), and partly due to it doing decent amount of damage in the first place anyway

Second to that I'd go /Rad I think. Let us know how things work out

    Have fun!!
  13. Totally agree with you Cobra Man. It is a state of mind, it is a style of play. No need to get pedantic about semantics or AT descriptions. My fire/fire plays exactly as yours does, and my energy/energy very similarly.
  14. Gj TF Titanium!

Much fun as always. See you for the next one.
  15. Purely due to concept and no other reason. The Sonic blasts are part of my character's concept, so I gave them priority. In fact, Force Bolt is not much in keeping with it at all, but I'm including it anyway because it's a great power.
  16. Apologies for not updating earlier. I haven't forgotten about this, I've been watching the posts coming in over the last week but I haven't confirmed myself yet because I simply didn't know my situation. It is looking increasingly likely that I will be able to help now

I'd really like to use this to lvl my tank, but since we have a few of those already I could exemp with TPF to add some control to the group if we don't get another.

I'll post Friday night hopefully with my final status.
  17. Hm, that's an idea. A 2 minute 35% damage buff vs constant 18% for Assault. Is the fallen team mate resurrected in the meanwhile? The planner mentions 11% heal.

No, wasn't directed to you Knightly. Just a question about the SG in general.

    Relax, Darling :P

So, just curious... is this IC or OOC?
  20. Here's an updated build.

    Changes:
<ul type="square">[*]Removed slots from Swift.[*]Dispersion Bubbles and Maneuvers slotted with End Redx by lvl25.[*]Earlier and better slotting in Howl.[*]Force Bolt slotted a bit later, but can still chain-cannon if I need to.[*]Force Bubble fully slotted earlier.[*]Added 3x Dmg to Air Superiority at lvl37, for lack of a better place.[/list]
I think my build is looking pretty solid now, though the slotting of AirSup at 37 still feels a bit dodgy. It's mainly down to taking Assault at 35, which doesn't require heay slotting. Perhaps I should take Amplify instead, which would be a nice run up to the nuke.
  21. Heheh, maybe I should visit him next time. I think this guy eventually got a bit annoyed with me... at first it seemed fine, but after a while I asked if it was ok to try a few more tests and he just blanked me! How rude!

So the teamselect+bubble x2 binds are working very well, though they can get out of synch when lag rears its ugly head.

    Issue 9

Heh, I imagine he found it extremely difficult to type that first paragraph on purpose
  23. Update.

It seems using DOWN isn't the only way to do this. I tried some binds based on your examples but used simply +/- instead of +down/-down. This works in the same way - ie, it still signifies press/release of a key, but with the added bonus of removing the movement side-effect (dowm can also move you backwards whilst flying, depending on camera angles, so it was a little annoying). The downside is you do get an 'Unknown Command' error in your system tab, but I think that's an acceptable tradeoff.

Also prepared the set of binds to use in conjunction with teamselect, so now I just need some friendly volunteers to test with.

My thanks to the Police Drone round the back of Wentworths in Steel for its assistance in testing
