Dont play the set myself but from what I can tell they are in more demand now than ever, in some casses teams usually dont do to well without them. So where is it exactley they need attention? maybe Storm? or Archery?
[/ QUOTE ]
We've got issues abound. Chances are you really wouldn't notice them unless you played a defender. Yeah, the entire TA set is an issue. -
Holy crap, a redname post in the defender forums!
This is...wow! I mean, wow! I can now honestly say that I've seen everything. -
My Warshade magically lost his Burkholder's Bane badge...that's odd.
-
Yes, the progress bar is the ??? badge way down near the Croatoa badges.

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
[/ QUOTE ]
You know, I think I'm beginning to question your sanity here. I'm not so sure we should trust a walking WMD that rides on ponies!
[/ QUOTE ]
That's a sane person right there. Look, there's only one exclamation point!
An insane person would say this:
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!
.................................................. ......^^^ More than 3
Note how there's more than 3 exclamation points. That's a sure sign of a crazy mind. -
Woah! The elusive triple-post in its native environment.

The main reason it was a bug, not only would you miss, but you wouldn't even get the MISS above your target's head.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, the power would effectively do nothing.
Take a look at this combat log demonstrating the bug: Picture!
Electron Haze is a cone power, and as you can see, I activated it without it doing a thing. There's nothing between the text informing me that I activated it and the text informing me it's recharged.
If you're actually missing (complete with combat log representation), then that's not a bug. -
When enemy AI moves, it selects a point and says "I'm going here" and it then goes there unless something forces it to stop or a scatter effect is enabled.
If you stun an enemy directly after it says "I'm going there" and starts moving, it will continue on its way there at full speed, over any amount of obstacles. A disorient technically doesn't debuff movement, so the AI moves at full speed.
Once it's reached the targetted destination, it will wobble around as normal.
It's a byproduct of the way the AI handles movement, and yes, it's a problem. -

Here is the 411 on Fireball. Hope this help's.
[/ QUOTE ]
Really! Well, color me dumbfounded.
I'll admit I was wrong. And I'm kinda glad, although it still won't change my slotting on AoE's.
I guess it's simply a psychological effect, for the most part.
[/ QUOTE ]
There's no shame in slotting 2 accuracy SOs, especially if you plan on fighting +2s or higher often, at which point accuracy enhancements are preferable over damage enhances. -

Hi, this has been discontinued for the time being. We'll let you know if/when we plan to put it back on the web site. In the meantime, if you'd like to contribute something, you might consider submitting some fan fiction or fan art. Go here for details.
[/ QUOTE ]
Aww, I liked the featured screenshots. -
[ QUOTE ]
Haha just someone with group heal and someone ready to shoot it off the 2nd anyone gets hit.
As far as convincing... well tell them that if they don't you'll stop punching the AV in the neck?
[/ QUOTE ]
Have you ever considered that the "healers" might not need you to be punching the AV in the neck? I mean, my defender solos AVs just fine. It takes a while, but it gets done.
Maybe if you had a Dark Miasma corruptor debuffing the AV you wouldn't need heals at all, what with them preventing 99.5% of the damage from happening in the first place. That same corruptor could then blast away since he/she/it doesn't have to spend so much time healing. -
[ QUOTE ]
AoE's tend to have an inherent ACC penalty. Not sure precisely what the numbers are for Fireball, but it is guaranteed to hit less than any of your single target shots.
Double-acc it until you get to SO's, or run Tactics.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's only true of AoE control powers. -

This one?
See why I'm confused...
You guys just mess with my head all the flippen time!
[/ QUOTE ]
Nope, the ones that people sent in with titles. -
I can't find them! Are they dead or what?

Personally, I love whatever Dev was responsible for THIS in CoV.

That's just about the greatest thing I've ever seen in a video game. -

anyone know what you have to kill to get the Fortunata seer Gladiator badge?
It's the only one I am missing (next to the bugged ones)
[/ QUOTE ]
Fortunatas, silly
Not sure if the Rogue Fortunatas in Warburg work, but the ones in Siren's Call do. -
If devs were like transformers or whatever and could combine for great justice, my favorite would be :
CuppaWarCastle Martin1 (War Wtich, CuppaJo, _Castle_, Weaver1, and Supermartin all rolled up into one).
That'd be the greatest dev-transformer-robot-thingy ever. -
Well off in the land of not using AMoA or Longbow Wardens (which are just as bad if not worse), I've been able to learn a good bit about some gladiators.
Warhulks: Worth all 400 points. Very capable, very deadly.
Crey Power Tanks: Kinda meh for the price. They run out of endurance too quickly, but are good otherwise.
Calibans: You get too much for the price.
Swift Steel: Worth it, very nice.
Meson: Absolutely horrid! 450 for a fragile piece of junk that deals hardly any damage and can't live long enough to fulfill its purpose well (defense debuffs).
Raider Engineer: No use having more than 1, the generator's a tad fragile anyway.
Wraith: Good, but not 450 points good. Would be 450 points good if they kept Chill of the Night up constantly rather than cycling it.
Pariah Anchorite: Good for the cost.
Advanced Drone: For 350 points? yeah right! Triple its damage and then maybe we'll see about that.
Tank Smashers: Almost too good for the price, especially when they rez.
Avalance Shaman: On the rare occasion he actually uses Earthquake, he's worth it. Otherwise he's not.
AMoA + Longbow Warden: Ridiculously overpowered.
A combo I'm using right now is Swift Steels + Calibans with some other random thing for support. It seems the last thing calibans need is 3 kineticists, each of which deals a good amount of damage himself.
Warhulks + Calibans will give you a good mix of killage and tankage. Set the warhulks at flamethrower distance and let them cycle through their 2 ranged attacks for great justice. Throw in a swift steel and you've got some pain. -

It's like MechWarrior from WizKids Games when it first came out: the game kicked A$$, but the point values were a tad skewed. They've gradually fixed this, and I really think that's the only change necessary (beyond having matches available with higher or lower point costs [say, increments of 1000?]) here. As good (bad? ugly(J/K!)?) Lord Recluse pointed out, it's about messing with the point balance, and I'm glad they're looking into it
[/ QUOTE ]
I'd love to have 1000 point and 3000 point battles. -
[ QUOTE ]
Mesons are 400.... mesons are pathetic.
[/ QUOTE ]
They're 450, actually(I think...)...They're LTs
Sure, they have defense debuffs and accuracy bonuses, but they're NOT worth 450 points! -
Well, Swift Steel is a Tsoo boss and Acenstor Spirits are Tsoo LTs...I guess they're kinda related. Personally, I'd rather have the Swift Steel than an ancestral spirit.
Think kineticists with swords! -
Wraith is definitely unlocked by the Croatoa Haunted badge, I got the two at the same time.
Abomination- I have the Synapse TF badge, but not the Positron TF badge and I do have Abomination. -
Swift Steel is confirmed. Not exactly sure how many Ancestor Spirits you need, but you need A LOT. Plan to spend anywhere between 2 and 3 hours hunting them in Talos.
I haven't been able to see if they're worth it or not.
Update: Ok, I got to try them and yes, they are quite worth it. -
Oooh, nice! 300 is a rather lot, so I've gotta get to work.
I can also confirm that Skyraider Engineer is for 100 FF generators and that razorvine is for a bunch of razorvines (maybe 200).
