  1. (Yes, I know descriptions aren't required, but I feel compelled to write one. Not to mention, this is a new RP character of mine and I wanna get some facts straight.

    Villain Name: Corrupted Youth
    Real Name: Jake
    Age: 16
    Height: 5'10"
    Sex: Male
Appearance: White styled hair with blast goggles on his forehead. He wears a black trenchcoat with a white T-Shirt underneath, as well as black baggy cargo pants.
Description: Having a father that was internationally regarded due to his success at having created devices for Running Bear [Yes, he's my main, just roll with it.] naturally couldn't have lead to a normal life, and such is the case with Jake. His father, only days after his international recognition, was targetted by several villain groups, primarily Crey and Arachnos. Arachnos, being... well... Arachnos, struck first, using a psionic assault on the residence of Jake's father for seven days and nights straight. However, one must always account for human error, even if one is completely, er, human. The fortunatas had focused on the wrong brain waves, instead mentally attacking Jake and twisting his views and opinions. The fortunatas had not realized their mistake until Jake, being the compulsive child that he always was in addition to being an intelligent and Arachnos corrupted teen, had stolen his father's prototype technology and purchased a one way ticket to the Rogue Islands.

There, that didn't take too long... even with the accidental deletion halfway through... Anyway, on to the story.)

Jake was standing atop a building letting the wind blow thorugh his semi-longish hair when his single assault bot that he had out had registered dead on his scanner. <Dammit, again?> He thought, scratching his head in wonder. <Those things can usually take the fodder that come here.> He sighed and brought his head to a stray hero that happened to be running by in search of one of the fallen meteors. "You." He stated, throwing down many little devices allowing three battle drones, two protector bots, and one assault bot to appear, all aiming at the newbie hero. "Can you tell me why there's such a sudden increase in activity here? This place is usually like the unwanted step child of the Rogue Islands and Paragon City alike." The hero naturally looked extremely frightened and nearly ran away were it not for the forcefield that Jake had just thrown up around him. "You are going to answer my question or come very close to dying, if you're lucky." The hero cracked and started blurting out some nonsense about a new bar that had opened up in Bloody Bay. Jake groaned and put his hand to his forehead. <I'm losing shivan shards because some heroes want to get drunk?> "Might as well check it out..." He mumbled, activating a jetpack that he generally kept on his back. "I appreciate the help. That forcefield should wear off in a minute or two." He said, flying off, his bots quickly following after.

Jake arrived at the entrance to the bar with two signs, one reading 'No shirt, No shoes, No problem.' Jake sighed and read the other one that jokingly said, 'No pets allowed. (Tough luck masterminds.)' He sighed even louder at this one and threw small devices on all his pets, instantly teleporting them away to a secret storage building he had installed into his Villain Group's base of operations. He usually wouldn't pay mind to such an obvious joke, but he didn't feel like personally dealing with anything tonight and decided that it would be better to play it safe rather than sorry. Upon entering the bar he heard the loud roar of conversation and the loud music being pumped into the air via the juke box in the corner. He winced initially at the sudden increase in noise but quickly adjusted to it and took a seat at the bar. "One Shiner Light if you would." He said, sitting down and putting his hands on his cheeks allowing his forearms to support his head. <Still can't believe that this is why I'm losing shivan shards...> He thought grudgingly, adjusting his position and looking around the room.

    (Edit: Fixed a typo.)
(Double Edit: *looks up* Daaaang... That's a lot of typing for me...)
  2. I'll come, although my hero really doesn't have a secret identity. I mean Hell, his real name is his hero name...

  6. +1

To see how long it takes the mods to lock it.

    Btw, IBTL +1
  7. If you're gonna go with fire/invuln maybe say she was a mutant of sorts before taking Supadrine? *shrug* Just a thought.
  8. I'd recommend Infinity, my home... although Freedom and Virtue are the most populated...
  9. 61. You use your Warburg nuke in Atlas to scare the lowbies.
  10. MrKrazy

    CoH Mousepad

I can never get over how much like plastic Ghost Widow's costume looks...

    Anyway, good job!
  11. /nrg is the /energy secondary for blasters. It has a bunch of powerful melee attacks. (Ex. Bone Crusher)
  12. [ QUOTE ]

will have all costume pieces unlocked. (new players could transform into a person with wings and auras)

    [/ QUOTE ]

OK, why did the devs lock up wings with Inventions/Vet rewards and auras with a mish at lvl 30 if we're just gonna do this?

    [ QUOTE ]
you would be able to make your signiture move at lvl 14. (since you get your travel power then i figure its a turning point that means the character's made it)

    [/ QUOTE ]

And assuming that we're getting a point a lvl that would be 36 points to spend rather than the 18/20 (forgot which) we originally had.

    [ QUOTE ]
it would allow a player to make a character that has an effect that it would never have. like a blaster with a powerful melee attack.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    *cough* /nrg *cough*

Don't mean to knock down your idea, just pointing out some things.
  13. I've noticed that on characters with huge base builds, from a distance and usually from the side, they're shoulders get huge and pointy, luckily I have a couple screenshots.

Sorry for the horrible shot, the glitch should be on the guy in the upper left part of the shot.
  14. Been reading this thread for a while, finally decided on a couple of sig powers for my two heroes. Here goes nothing.

    'Frosty-Ice/Energy-Blaster
    Frosty's Last Stand

    1) Range
    1 point / 15 feet

This is a self buff power, so no points here.

    2) Area of Effect
    1 point / 3-feet radius

Again, this is a self buff, so no points.

    3) Effects
2 points / damage level, 1 point / magniture everything else

Going with the 1-5 scale of magnitude, I'd put a five for the magnitude of the +Def.

    4) Duration
    1 point / 2 seconds

I'd put the remaining points into the duration of the defense of the power.

    5) Visuals

I'd give it the animation and particle effects of Ice Armor.

So we end up with a power that gives me excellent defense for 26 seconds with a twenty minute recharge. Not bad I'd say. Now let's try this with my main.

    Running Bear-Arch/Dev-Blaster
    Rain of Flaming Arrows

    1) Range
    1 point / 15 feet

This is a PB attack, so 0 points here.

    2) Area of Effect
    1 point / 3-feet radius

I'd maybe put about five points into this, so a fifteen foot radius.

    3) Effects
2 points / damage level, 1 point / magniture everything else

I'd put ten points into this because I want maximum damage.

    4) Duration
    1 point / 2 seconds

I want a little bit of a DoT, so I'd put three points into this.

Edit: 5) The visual would be that of Rain of Arrows, with the particle effect of the arrows being that of Burning Arrow.

So we end up with a PBAoE power with a fifteen foot radius dealing maximum damage and minor DoT every twenty minutes.

Also, I don't believe that this has been brought up within the thread, but this power would deal Lethal/Fire damage.
  15. There are a few RP SGs on Infinity, but that's all I can tell you. I don't really have any information on Pinnacle. My suggestion would be to just suck it up and pick a different name on Virtue. Of course, you don't have to listen to me, just an opinion.
  16. "Er... well, I'm Travis... and as for where we are... I think... I think we're in a storage room or something..." He said, still stuttering. He didn't know how he should speak to these reveared(sp?) heroes of the city.
  17. Travis crouched on the top of a building with the wind blowing his hair out of place. He sighed right before another explosion went off somewhere to his left. He started off at a full run, jumping off of the short one story building and landed, a bit clumsily albeit. This Abdul guy's got some ego if he thinks he can take Paragon. I mean we have maybe 2,000 plus super powered beings here. He continued to run until he got to the bomb site and grimaced at all the schrapnel and burns covering the Longbow Operatives. He couldn't bear to look and turned away. "This is horrible." He said to himself. noticing, about a hundred yards off, two heroes carrying a woman in black into a building. "Good, heroes. Registered no doubt." Said he, temporarily putting the agents from his mind. He started off at a sprint for the group for lack of a better lead and upon getting to the door, hesitated before opening it. After hearing another bomb go off in the far distance, he entered, hoping that they knew of some way he could help. Obviously he couldn't help the injured, static electricity couldn't really do anything there. After entering he quickly gauged the situation with a glance. "I... uh... is there... like... anything I can do, to like... help?" He asked, stuttering. He had never spoken, or even seen a hero before, much less confronted one as an ally.
  18. (OOC: Hey. I may be new to these forums, but rest assured, I have experience in RPing... Now just to come up with a character...)

Travis put another jolt through the body of a hellion, sending him to the ground in a spasm of movement, not really all that different from a seizure. This one was easy. There wasn't even a mob. Probably just a stray looking to get some loot for himself. He quickly hopped down from his perch and scooped up the woman's purse, tossing it to her and running away not waiting for a 'thank you.' He couldn't let her see his face after all. Travis couldn't afford to register, or even get a costume for that matter. All he had was a trenchcoat and a pair of sun glasses to conceal his identity. It had been maybe three weeks since he had discovered his manipulation of electricity. He could only wonder how he got them, surely he wasn't born from a long line of heroes. Only last night, however, had the thought of registering as a hero occur. He had thus resolved to save up for the fee. He took off his glasses as he walked in the front door to be greeted by his twin siblings, both age nine. "Yeah yeah." He said grudgingly, however smiling. "And to what do I owe the pleasure of being greeted by you two? I thought you two were going on a trip with your baseball club."

"Nah, it canceled." Jeremy said. "Something about an Arch-Villain where we were going."

"And I wanted to see it!" Zak pouted.

"It's not an it, Zachary." Jeremy said matter of factly. "It's a he."

"Than why did you just call it an it?" Zachary retorted.

    "Did not!"

    "Did too!"

Travis left the two to their argument and went into his room, grinning at their ignorance, but worried about the arch-villain. Their destination was only about ten miles from here. A villain faction must be trying to invade Paragon. Travis didn't want to face the villain, but knew that a combination of his conscience and curiosity would get the better of him.

(OOC: There is where I stop for lack of any further ideas. I'll try to post here at least once a day.)
