(Ah, misread. Editing.......... now!)

*Dual wields the weapons* *Kills everything in sight*
Er, oops... Sorry 'bout that Dennis...
Dennis: Not a problem, I'm already dead, anyway. -
Did you go to that nice hotel right next to Ursa Major?
Wait... we're getting mixed up, senseless violence here, vacotioning outside of our solar system in AK-47... -
Jake sighed and walked over to an edge of the building. "Alright, whatever, everyone just tell me when they're ready to pack up and we'll move out."
(Editing with no idea what you're doing sucks. >.< -
*Unplugs Build's controller and casts it into Hell*
*Summons his two(three?) RP characters* Attack, minions! -
I recall something similar to this in Forum Games...
*Implodes the multiverse, all dimmensions, and everyone's heads.*
Game over. Player 1 wins! -
Denniss's glowing hands faded ever so slowly as the remaining Clockwork simeaultaniously(sp? I'm prob'ly wrong.) disassembled, all moving in a linear style to a collection of scrap piles nearby, effectively ending the battle for the time being. As he touched back down on the ground, he could've sworn he heard Dusan mumbling '-old you they had it handled...', however, decided to ignore it.
"Wasn't much of a battle at all, was it?" He commented, looking around to assess the damage, quickly adding under his breath, "Still took a bit of a beating..."
Dusan seemed to be thinking a bit farther ahead than Dennis, already bored with the lack of action, granted, somewhat due to the fact that he was relatively useless against soulless beings. "So where's the next objective? I'm not exactly comfortable standing next to a pile of scrap that, up until just a few seconds ago, was trying to kill me." He laughed at his own joke, attempting to lighten up the mood, to no avail, sadly.
Jeez, you'd think someone died with their faces... Then again, that very well may be the case, but still... -
((Where the Hell is Kaolin? >.< I'm waiting on h im to reply to Jake.))
-
(I leave for one night and this is what happens?)
Dusan arrived, sliding in as if he were on a skate board and kicking up enough dust to rival that of a tornado. As he quickly jumped to the left[Murphy seemed fit to have him land not two feet from an Assembler Prince] Dennis gently touched down about ten feet back, glancing over the battle ground and shaking his head. "I told you we shouldn't have taken the scenic route. 'Oh, relax, it's not like we're urgently needed.' 'I'm sure they've got it all under control.'" Dennis said in a clear parody of Dusan's voice.
Dusan's face took on an appearance of apology. "Well, sorry, jeez. No need to cry over it now." Having successfully gotten out of the way of the Prince, he began his process of pushing other's souls to their limits, allowing them to attack with more vigor and with more rapidness.
"Do your thing, Dennis!" He shouted as he gave Dennis these buffs, the departed soul rushing into action and blasting a lone Assembler Prince at least twenty feet back.
Definately not normal Clockwork... Dennis put both hands out to his side and enveloped each in a glow of energy, charging into combat with the advanced Clockwork. -
"Ah, you may be sturdier, but with twelve seperate minions here and a nearly endless supply ready to replace them, you can see why I don't see much need for you." He said, smirking and following behind Binro with his minions in tow.
-
(Also, perhaps Mercury could be a possible name? It is, after all, the legendary quicksilver.)
-
Jake chuckled and looked at her. "Not just yet. The lead wants us to bring along a meat shield. Don't really see why, our minions already provide enough cover..." He turned around and smiled at his creations, and, had they been able to feel emotion, they might've smiled back.
Jake's outward pride was shortlived, however. "Anyway, I don't feel like waiting. That guy better hurry up." He commented with irritation in his voice.
I've gotta hurry up and make preperations... -
Dusan quickly stopped in his tracks as his face slightly contracted as a dull pain spread throughout his body, letting him know that somebody was either very, very upset, angry, sad, or just overall negatively impacted. He glanced around for a second or two and quickly located the source of the pain, which seemed to be just north of him. "Ow..." He couldn't help but say as the throbbing grew worse. "What the Hell is it? 'Holy [censored]' doesn't really tell us anything, does it?"
Dusan was clearly irritable. It was because of this guy that he had been washed in pain in the first place. He calmly closed his eyes and focused. Focused to the point where he was oblivious to everything around him. He breathed deeply and steadily, allowing calm to wash over his body.
And then the pain stopped.
He breathed a sigh of relief, having temporarily desensitized himself to the emotions of those he was attached to. "OK, continue following the lizard, I'm fairly certain whatever he found, he can take care of." He commented to Dennis, who was now standing not two feet from him, making sure to keep it out of the mic of the communicator.
"Aye aye." Dennis replied cooly, taking off again suddenly, having completely locked onto the dragon's soul, Dusan following with near super speediness shortly afterward, hurdling over objects and jumping over chasms when appropriate.
(Siphon Speed and Inertial Reduction, for those that care or want an explanation. >.> -
"Right." Dusan said, giving a nod of thanks and a slight wave, in addition to granting his soul an increase to his damage output.
"Dennis! We're moving forward!" He shouted, shortly before pushing the boundaries of his own body and soul, allowing him to speed ahead with great speed.
(Typing at 1 AM, forgive atrocious spelling, grammar, or overall bad writing. <.< -
(Erm, as Diov just impl-... Hell, as Diov just explained, it'd take a while to traverse a useable path to the creature's destination. I'm not questioning your char's ability to get there, but that's gonna be some wait. >.>
Dennis blasted Clockwork left and right, only stopping every now and then to reduplicate himself and to re-assess the battle.
He didn't know what Dusan had gotten himself into this time. These weren't the Clockwork he had known when he was alive. These things coordinated their attacks and seemed much more resilient than the pushovers he had known.
What had Dusan gotten himself into?
Dennis sighed and continued to clear a path for those he supposed were allies, only taking harmless bolts of electricity to try and impede him. Funny thing about electricity, it doesn't seem to affect the dead. -
"Right-o." Jake replied, turning around and giving a wave as he tried to contact Penny again. "Penny, you're needed back here at HQ. We're gonna scout ahead along with this guy. Binro, I think."
-
(<.< You're scrapper would willingly decline buffs? And yes, Dennis is attacking the upper Clockwork, hence why I said flying forward.
Guess I could've been more clear, but eh, I can't think when I'm hungry.) -
Dusan ran after the soaring creature at least long enough to see the Clockwork begin to ambush not only it, but the hero who had been attacking the Clockwork from below as well. He got an 'oh-my-God-they're-going-to-make-me-save-them-aren't-they?' look on his face.
He sighed. Normally, he didn't like to exert so much energy pulling souls from the ethereal plane, but, seeing as these things didn't have souls, he couldn't effect them any other way. Stopping suddenly and shutting his eyes, he concentrated waved his hands in an unnecessary fashion, the end result being a translucent human dressed in simply a trenchcoat and jeans making an appearance next to him. He opened his eyes and grinned. "Afternoon Dennis. How're things in the afterlife?"
"Peaceful until you woke me up. Whaddya need?" Dennis replied rather irritably.
"Ah, well, you see, I need your assistance. These Clockwork have a nasty habit of not having souls, so, as you well know, I can't hurt them by myself. Care to lend a hand?"
"Don't see why not..." He muttered, waving his hands as well as two duplicates of him suddenly appeared, immediately making their presences known as they ran up and attacked the Clockwork, imediately pulling their attention away from the others. At the same time, Dennis flew forward and blasted several clockwork with what could best be described as an energy attack, although it was much different than what other metas used. If one had enough knowledge on the subject, they'd know that it was spriitual energy being forcibly converted to the physical realm.
Dusan smirked knowing that his friend would be able to handle things for the most part. He partially summoned three other souls [As in, they can't touch you, you can't touch them, but they're there.] for even further distraction and went about his business pushing the limits of others souls, speeding them up, making them more powerful, and making them overall more potent, all the whiel watching his friend take care of Clockwork after Clockwork. -
Jake face took on that of annoyance as everyone seemed to ignore his offer, instead choosing to go about their own business amongst themselves.
Ooookay... He thought, believing his eye to be on the verge of twitching.
Just as he was about to speak up again, however, another mastermind had beaten him to it.

"I already have one of my drones scouting out the area. Right now it's at a fork after losing the trail of something it has been tracking," he said. "If one of those computers still works, I can upload what images Small Toy was able to capture of the creature and what I suspect it tampered with, namely several Rikti corpses."
[/ QUOTE ]
"Ah, OK then." He said more to himself than anyone. "Guess I better go do what the tanker says, then..." Stretching his arms behind his head and, in the process, causing a pain to form in his recently healed arm, he walked over to Randall Grey and gave a half-hearted salute. "You called, sir?" He said with clear sarcasm, chuckling. -
(And dare I ask how he knows to wait for the hound? >.> Correct me if I'm wrong [I generally am, in fact...] but he hasn't heard any of the briefing.)
-
Dusan eyed the creature strangely, noting that its soul really didn't feel like a... well, like a soul. The best thing he coul compare it to would be a wild beast, but this seemed more intelligent than that.
He physically shook the thought from his head.
Forget it. You see a lot of crazy things in this line of work, just shrug it off.

"That's our tracker." the Colonel explained, retrieving her rifle from the truck's side cargo pod and slinging it across her back, "Got it on loan from the Soul Police. Just think of it as a big scaly bloodhound, and don't worry about the rest..."
[/ QUOTE ]
"Heh, Soul Police, eh? Sounds like somebody's getting some ground in my territory." He muttered, chuckling.

"The point of our tracker here..." The Security Chief explained. "Is not to track down the Malleus Mundi nor our villain. It is going to track down Mrs. Moreira. Our sinister friend probably has enough precautions in place to ensure tracking him personally is impossible, as MAGI has already confirmed. The same applies to the Malleus Mundi. However, the City Representative...She's human. Easy to track. Easy to follow. Easy to find. Once you find her, logic states you'll also find the Mundi and her captor. If not, she may be able to yeild a clue to their location/s."

Dusan nodded in agreement. "Makes sense. Anyway, when are we gonna be-..."

"Ready? I've been wanting to leave for the last ten minutes. Point me in the right general direction, and I'll take point... and for the record, I sodding well hate this need-to-know BS. It's nearly gotten me killed a few too many times."
He circled upwards and faded from view, casually stealthing so as to be invisible to all but the most specialized of senses. "I'll be communicating by commlink from here on in, at least until I decloak." he added over the group's private channel.

"..." Pretty much answers my question, I guess. -

Indeed, I didn't even know this thread existed.
Anyway, Jake's description soon to come.
Edit:
Name: Jake Walsh
Alias: Corrupted Youth (This was a name given to him by the oh-so-unimaginative media. He doesn't like it, particularly, and will ask those that call him as such to not.)
Age: Fifteen
Threads: The Necronomicon, A Force Into the Isles, The Future is Mayhem
Appearance: Normally wears a black trenchcoat with a white T-shirt underneath. Wears deep blue baggy pants and black boots. His hair is white and semi-long, his bangs reaching just past the eyebrow and halfway covering his ears. He also is almost never found without his blast goggles, which gives him information on his vitals, as well as providing him with several other features. They are always either on his forehead of covering his eyes, depending on whether or not he has a task.
Jake was once, and last time I checked, still is, the son of a recently famous professor, known to give new and veteran heroes alike devices to aid them in their eternal fight. In fact, the day before his escape, he went with his father on a trip to Freedom Corps HQ, where his father was hired to develope advanced technology for Longbow's use. But I digress, attention like this certainly never always good, and this case is by no means an exception. Professor Walsh had garnered the attention of many villain groups, most notably Crey and Arachnos. Both factions wished to use him to pursue their own devilish experimentations, however, Arachnos decided to act first, unleashing a psionic assault on the residence of the Professor, thereby having him seemingly come to the Isles of his own free will. The plan, unfortunately, failed. The Professor never made it to the Isles in the 48 hour time span that was expected of him, and most certainly didn't come after that. Frustrated, the Arachnos higher-ups planned to 'reassign' the Arbiter in charge of the program and put someone else more capable as the head.
The third day after the failed assault, only hours before the Arbiter was officially taken off the program, Kalinda reported a new arrival in Mercy, having come via ferry to the Hell-hole of an island, to a certain Fortunata who was to be put in charge of the program. When asked what relevance this had, Kalinda simply replied, "He says his last name is Walsh." The Fortunata's ears visibly perked at this, and demanded that he be escorted to Grandville immediately, to be presented to Recluse himself. One hour later, arriving at Recluse's tower via Arachnos Flier and being escorted by many, many, Wolf-Spider Huntsman, he was presented to Senoir Spider himself. Bowing before the might of the man who was programmed to be a God in his mind, he presented him with several gadgets, two of which truly stood out. A portable forcefield generator (Which Jake had modified to fit in his fingerless gloves) and several different models of combat robots, originally being developed by his father for use by Longbow in mid-combat. Recluse seemed pleased enough by these findings, and ordered Black Scorpion and his technicians to begin mass-producing them for Arachnos soldiers of all ranks. Satisfied with Jake's work, Recluse ordered his back to Mercy, so that he may prove further worth among the organization of Arachnos.
For the past two months, Jake has been serving Arachons without fail, killing who he was ordered to kill and siding with the spiders on all occassions(sp?). Jake is still himself however, and will often attempt to skip out on his duties if the oppurtunity arises. He often approaches with a very laid back and nonchalant attitude, partially due to a bit of cockiness, however, when the situation arises when he realizes that he truly is out-matched, he changes clothes, so to speak, and becomes serious, taking in the scene with much detail and speculating on an ideal battle strategy.
As of late, Jake's mind has been slowly reversing the effects of the psionic alteration, leaving his loyalties to himself above all others. This is only just beginning, as he would still kill someone who so much as lifts a finger in his direction without losing a wink of sleep, but he is certainly moving in the right direction. (This is most noted in 'A Force Into the Isles' thread, where Jake is attempting to go back to Paragon and hopefully redeem himself among the general population.)
DESCRIPTION OF POWERS AND ABILITIES:
FORCE FIELD: Jake's force field gadetry resides within his fingerless gloves, making it fairly simply to activate on the fly. It essentially has three basic functions. Repulsion, in which it is designed to throw someone back wildly. Shielding, in which it is designed to deflect (and/or redirect) incoming projectiles. And Detention, in which the forcefield encases someone or something inside, allowing nothing to hit it and vice-versa. Jake's shielding works in certain degrees of power, from a barely noticeable shield that will knocking something off of its mark by a miniscule amount or all the way up to a Personal Forcefield, being similar to the Detention Field, however, allowing its occupant to move about. Each of these refracts the path of the incoming object in an increasingly extreme fashion until it is finally outright deflected by the shield. They are currently being improved and adapted by Arachnos, who, upon its completion, will issue it to all foot soldiers.
ROBOT HENCHMEN: These little buggers come in three basic designs, the first of which being designed to function as a unit in groups of three, coordinating attacks on a single target and basically covering for other, larger, more effective units. They are highly ineffective when compared to the other two models, and mainly serve as fodder whilst more advanced units do the majority of the damage.
The second type of model is appropriately called the Protector Bot, designed with roughly the same amount of fire power as the Battle Drones, but with the added bonus of the ability to give medium shielding to fellow bots and allies, giving them a very defensive role.
The final model is also appropriately called the Assault Bot, known as such for its sheer size, defense, and fire power. Its size alone is normally enough to intimidate normal foes, and at least give a moment of hesitation to other supers. It's not an empty threat either, as the Assault Bot has a different type of laser from it's other two counterparts. The laser it totes deals major burn damage, most times enough to melt armor. This is complimented by Jake's modification of a flamethrower, which it will occassionally use on opponents, if the mood strikes.
Despite Arachnos's attempts to keep the design secret, it appears to have leaked all across the Isles, as many would-be villains and true villains alike have been seen toting the metallic monstrosities across the Isles, striking fear into the hearts of passers-by.
Jake is currently working on several modifications to his bots, although all are in the prototype phase and not ready for field testing.
BLAST GOGGLES: Jake blast goggles are just and all-around good device to have. Not only giving Jake a good idea of his personal vitals, it gives him a detailed description of his robots' conditions, and even warns him when and if his shields will go down. The goggles also have the ability to scan one's face and access their file from an Arachnos data-base, immediately giving Jake all the knowledge that Arachnos has on the particular hero, or villain even. Note that this requires both that the person's face being exposed and Arachnos having information on it. If either of these requirements is failed, the scan will as well, resulting in a rather annoying ' FILE NOT FOUND'* to show up in Jake's view. Jake is also currently working on modifications to his goggles, again, which are in the prototype stage and ,also again, not ready for field testing.
*INSPIRATIONS FULL ftw.
Edit again: Huh... just realized that he's an evil Shikamaru... Ah well. *shrug*

Odd. It won't let me edit. *Shrug*
Name: Dusan Konpaku
Alias: Tenrai Shinzui
Age: 19
Height: 5'11"
Appearance: Has semi-longish hair that stays above the brow and about halfway covers the ears. He's also almost always seen wearing a white hoodie when appropriate, at all other times wearing a white T-Shirt. No matter what his dress, he's always seen wearing a dark blue pair of baggy cargo jeans. His shoes are standard sneakers.
Kings' Row certainly isn't an ideal place to grow up. Hell, practically anywhere in Paragon isn't an ideal place to grow up, but, with street thugs, super powered gang members, and cultists willing to sacrifice your soul to their god littering the streets, and not nearly as many heroes as you'd have liked, it was a wonder anyone could get to and from work, let alone on a daily basis.
However, many people do it every day. Sure, somebody gets possessed or sacrificed here and there, but overall, things work out.
For Dusan, things didn't work out so well.
The first obvious thing that went wrong that day [Next to him getting out of bed] was his being captured and ceremonially sacrificed by the Circle of Thorns. The Circle aren't picky with their victims, and aside from the occassional unspoiled virgin, most of their rituals worked pretty well on almost anyone.
That is, unless they're interrupted mid-chant.
The day of Dusan's capture, they had been planning a rather big ritual. They had a special area of Oranbaga set up for just this purpose; the incense, the pentagrams, the lighting. Everything was perfect. They planned to bring one of their gods into the physical plane via a host. One who's soul would kindly depart in favor of their god's.
By this point, it's clear Dusan is said host. In fact, by this point, it's fairly obvious what happens from then on. Dusan is brough to the ritual chamber, the preperations are made, he's put in the pentagram, chanting commences, etc.
Well, it was in the middle of that 'etc.' that things change a bit. A hero had gotten a tip on an increase in magical energies in that particular region, and just happened to drop in at that convienant moment. The ritual was interrupted, and only a part of the god's soul was put into Dusan, mingling with Dusan's soul and overall fusing with it, granting Dusan unique abilities.
Due to the tampering with his soul, Dusan has ever since been in touch with the ethereal plane, able to summon spirits from the dead to help him and control (To an extent.) the souls of others.
DESCRIPTION OF POWERS AND ABILITIES:
CONTROL OVER OTHERS' SOULS: Dusan has limited control over other people's souls, due to their not technically being in the spiritual realm, but rather, connected to it. He can do a variety of things with this ability, from pushing his allies beyond their physical limits by increasing those of their soul, to 'convincing' an enemy to have a change of heart, for a moment, at least. He's still coming up with new and more unique ways of using this control to his, and his allies', advantages.
SUMMONING OF SOULS: Dusan has the ability to call the souls of the dead back to the physical realm, the catch being, he must have known them in life. (Or at least known of them.)
He already has a pact with several departed heroes, to which they have agreed to be called back to life at any time to aid him in a battle, one of which being his best friend in life, Dennis. These souls basically have two states of summon, partially, and fully. Partially summoning a soul allows it to seem as great a threat as anything, but being able to do no damage at all, and in turn, not being able to take any. These serve as primarily a distraction, used to create a diversion for a quick getaway, or to divert attention from some of the more fragile heroes.
The second state of summons requires a bit more concentration on Dusan's part, however, allows them to be a bit more corporeal than their partially summoned counterparts. This allows him to deal full damage while still being mostly resistant to most physical damage. He normally reserves this summon for his best friend, Dennis, who is completely comfortable with the abilities that come with the job.
Short history of Dennis:
Dennis was, and still is, Dusan's best friend, simply put. Not a moment was spent with them apart, and as a result, they knew nearly everything about each other, that is, until one day.
One fateful day when the both of them were twelve, Dusan was captured by the Circle of Thorns as a sacrifice for a god. Needless to say, when Dennis heard the news, he was worried sick, praying to God (His Christian one.) that Dusan would come out of it alright. His prayers were 'partially' answered. Dusan did come out of it alright, but the hero that saved him warned that a part of the ritual had already been performed. Dusan certainly looked the part, his eyes were wide and frightened, the tips of his hair were snow white, and he couldn't stop shivering for the love of the world.
For weeks Dusan stayed locked in his room, traumatized, afraid to even leave the safety of his bed for fear the Circle would come back for him. Come back for the portion of soul he had stolen from their God.
It was within these weeks that Dennis had suffered a tragic death.
Dennis had been walking home from his school, (It was only two blocks away.) back to his apartment when he was suddenly grabbed, beaten, and mugged by a group of Skulls, after which they quickly ran off. Thankfully, the Skulls were caught shortly afterward, but the damage was done. Dennis was fatally beaten.
Dusan grieved for weeks after hearing this, knowing that if he had come out of his room he might've been able to use his newfound abilities to save him. It was after this that he trained for months on end to learn to summon the dead, so that he could see Dennis at least one more time and apologize for not being there... -
"Yeah," Dusan said, clearly implying he agreed with the Chief. "I'd like to get started pretty soon."
-
Jake received a transmission with a rather depressing message via his headset, after which he shrugged and motioned to those around him. "In case you guys weren't on the right frequency, HQ's called a retreat. Ja-... Er... Wirespike, will you be coming with us?" He asked, turning to the armor clad meta. "It'd be a shame for us to split up at this point." He smirked and folded his arms, knowing full well what his answer would be.
-----
Wirespike had been taken a bit by surprise as Jake suddenly announced a retreat order, especially as he had not seen much action personally. Aside from that one battle with Soul Striker's father, [Most certainly not a cause for retreat] absolutely nothing eventful had happened. Truth be told, he was rather dissapointed.

Ja-... Er... Wirespike, will you be coming with us?" He asked, turning to the armor clad meta. "It'd be a shame for us to split up at this point."
[/ QUOTE ]
To which he responded, "Heh, yes, it would." Wirespike gave a sigh and a slight nod. "Sure. Like I said, my new objective is to keep you alive." -
"Eh, not much." He said, politely taking Radiation's hand, if not a bit reluctantly. "Standard stuff, you know. Even the Rikti bombings don't seem to be affecting business that much." He sighed and leaned back as far as he could in his chair. "Don't get me wrong, some interesting stuff's happened, just really nothing to mention within the past week. Anyway, how 'bout you? What've you been up to recently?"
