1. OK - so I have a little bit of a scheduling conflict with the MoLRSF for Saturday night...

My static team night changed to Saturday - we usually finish up by 11-11:30pm eastern. I have a couple options in mind:

1) Keep the MoLRSF on Saturday, but delay the start time to 11:30pm eastern / 8:30pm pacific.

2) Move the MoLRSF to Friday, sticking with the 10:30pm eastern / 7:30pm pacific start times.

A show of hands everyone...

LMK what you think is best & I will revise the sign-up accordingly...

lol - yeah - I had to do a hunt mission in Perez, so when I finished, I detoggled PFF & aggroed a large mob which sent me back to the hosp in Atlas - lol - death express!

LOL

The best part was that you were in the middle of telling the team to look out for the proximity bombs the moment before you showed us all what happens when you get close to one!

A fun run, as always

[/ QUOTE ]

You know I always mention it (especially when King Sac is on the team):

...and the story goes:

Before we started our static team runs, KS & I along with some current members of our static team used to run TFs every week. This one week we ran the Respec Trial (not sure which one), but we were moving through it & got to the hall, the usual warning about the bombs, etc - when KS spots one & blasts a bomb...just as our emp defender Doc Codis is walking by (this was prior to the one-shot code), so Doc goes down.

He rezzes, KS apologizes & we move on...

...but then King Sac proceeds to blast a another bomb...once again just as Doc Codis is walking by...so the good doctor again goes down...thanks to King Sac!

...and I won't let him forget it... (That's what friends are for!)

Clear the mob in front of the door. Stealth & TP to the end area if possible, if not stick together & clear. Clear the two areas before opening up the door. Pull/Kill order: Numina, Sister Psyche, Manticore, BABs subject to pulling circumstances.[*] Fifth Mission: Clear to the Vindicator door, while the rest of the team sets up back down the hall, someone stealthy should open the door. Pull/Kill order: Malaise, Swan, Luminary, Mynx, Valkyrie (x2) subject to pulling circumstances. Clear to the glowie. Set-up & wait for the ambush (we usually go back to the main hall by the large room). Clear to Ms Liberty. Use the rifle on her & take her down.[*] Sixth Mission: Clear to the right side of the Atlas Statue (to avoid any cross agro). Stay together & keep buffs/debuffs running. From this side, Pull/Kill order: Numina, Synapse. Clear to the left side of the Atlas Statue. From this side, Pull/Kill order: Sister Psyche, Manticore. From here, we can determine which side to pull from next & which hero to pull. Of course this is all subject to pulling circumstances. Apparently if Statesman is mentally undressing Numina, it will result in an “All-Pull” situation. If this occurs, we will determine a strategy - perhaps logging out to reset the mission & hoping for a better distribution of the heroes.[*]Even with last week’s successful run, this is still a work in progress…
Mission Notes:

Mission One: No issues. We cleared as we went, determined where the Tech was located, took out Crimson, grabbed the Tech, defeated the ambushes & lead him to the comp. Paragon grabbed the last two bombs to complete the mission.

Mission Two: No issues once again. We cleared the mobs around Kronos before taking him down. Devcon stealthed to the AV & TP’d us. We cleared out the majority of the Malta before settling down & taking out Slinger.

Mission Three & Four: MB’s Numina pull resulted in everyone coming. No major problems, although we did aggro a patrol midway through the battle. We took them down in this order: Numina / Sister Psyche / Manticore / Back Alley Brawler

Mission Five: MB’s first pull brought just Malaise. Second pull brought just Luminary. Third pull (we were trying for Mynx) brought the rest…We defeated them in this order: Mynx / Swan / Valkyrie (twice). Devcon moved into TP position while we were taking out Valkyrie for the 2nd time (during her MoG). We cleared to the comp & set up for the ambush back down the main hall (Paragon stayed to click the comp). We took out the ambush & quickly took out Ms Liberty.

Mission Six: Setting up to pull Numina - note the gas bombs MB’s first pull brought just Numina – we were off to a good start…or so we thought… Setting up for Synapse The next pull of Synapse brought the gang out to the party…We didn’t panic…(ok, well maybe Turg did)… I was cycled my taunts through all of the Heroes to try to keep their attention. I also kept Darkest Night running on States (he did get a nice hit off on me one time that knocked me down to half-health). The buffs/debuffs from everyone were constant & really great! We had a few scares, but one by one we took down all of the heroes. Going off of memory this is the order we took down the Freedom Phalanx after the Numina single pull: Synapse, Sister Psyche, Positron, Manticore, Statesman, Citadel & finally Back Alley Brawler.

Badge Earned: Master of Lord Recluse’s Strike Force

MoLRSF: 7/9/09 - Stat Box A pretty good time as well!

The Team:

Mr E-Villain: SS/Inv Brute
Robin Rogue: Dark/Kin Corruptor
Hatake Kasumi: Widow
Project 64B: Earth/Fire Dominator
Supreme Soviet: Bots/Traps Mastermind
Teh Corrupted One: Rad/Dark Corruptor
Lynner: Sonic/Thermal Corruptor
Devcon: Bots/Traps Mastermind

Thanks for joining everyone it was a lot of fun!

Sorry that drogoh did not make it onto last night’s team, but when I arrived at Recluse, there were seven people from the initial eight that signed-up (nine people total) – so we had one spot open & two people wanting to join – in my attempt to be somewhat fair, I asked them to do the rock/paper/scissors emote to see who got the last spot. Not the most ideal way to choose our last member…

My quick tip for everyone that hates blind invites and PM's:

type /hide into your chat box. The "Hide" menu pops up, select "Hide from Searches". That will instantly stop most of your blind invites and PM's, while leaving you still visable to your friends, chat channels, super group, etc. As soon as I create a toon, I go into hiding.

There is currently a slight problem associated with using ghide Turg - right now, it can occasionally be difficult inviting to teams off of an @global tell - not sure why - seems to be a bug that sporadically occurs since I-15 launch - that is why I asked you to unhide last night, the invite didn't go through & I hate trying to type out character names...

I was thinking of spearheading a run through the red side SF's. I know we are doing the blue side coming up on Mondays. I was wanting input on what night would work for everyone & a list of interested individuals. I will be leading a team with (Gravel) my Stone Brute. Thanks in advance for the input.

[/ QUOTE ] The same group of people who organize the Monday night Hero runs you are referring to.. also have a Wednesday night Villain run. We just had the Villain 3rd respec this week.

There are not as many Villain SFs available, so we don't really do them in order, but we've pretty much gone through them a few times in the same amount of time it took us to finish the Hero set. lol

You already know that Luna posts the Monday night (10:00p ET) Hero runs.
MrEMan posts the Wednesday night (10:30p ET) Villain runs. Keep an eye out for them.

Ok. I saw his post, but I thought it was just for the LRSF. My bad.

[/ QUOTE ] Yes, the MoLRSF thread is just for MoLRSF runs. He also has a MoSTF thread.

Those are separate events in addition to our standing Monday and Wednesday night appointments... which each get a separate thread of their own every week.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to discourage you from forming your own group. Our 10pm ET timeslot was picked after careful consideration of the availability of interested parties, and it isn't likely to change. If something earlier in the day is more convenient for you, I'm sure you can find people to join you. We aren't the only ones out there.

Many members of the "Freedom Horde" are also on earlier as well, and are always looking for extra things to do. On my day off.. I certainly am. lol

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, when I originally started the Hero side TF's, I was hoping to do them earlier in the evening East Coast Time, but pretty much everyone else preferred the after 10pm time.

So if you want to get some events going, post up here on the threads, I'll put the info in the chat channel, and I'm sure you'll get some kind of response.

As far as Villain side goes, very fun, but boy, not enough SF's to fill out the level ranges. It's been a struggle in some spots to get people who are actually leveling up toons over the humps that have no TF's in them.

Luna

[/ QUOTE ]

So, I wanted to chime in here on a couple of points:

1) Try not to discourage people from running events. If Whitefox wants to try his hand at organizing/running events, he should be given the opportunity. What would have happened if I discouraged Luna when she asked me about leading her own events?

2) Yes, it is correct that currently on Wednesday nights I am/have been running the Villain side SFs in addition to other filler material (due to the lack of Villain SFs). I anticipate completing the run over the next 4-5 weeks: Barracuda SF, GW Arcs, Mako Arcs, Mender Silos SF & LRSF (non-master run) - perhaps not in that order.

3) While I do have a couple lowbie villains that I would love to level through SFs like I did with Mr E-Lectric, I am not sure I want to be locked into strictly villain side. As Luna mentioned, it was frustrating at times with the lack of SFs & the fact that pretty much all of the SFs are short, leveling up did not take place as timely as running hero side. I am considering switching Wednesdays back to random TFs/SFs/Events - sort of counter programming to the Monday night runs.

As far as the general timing goes - I am in the after 10pm eastern crowd - trying to get on earlier more than once a week (for my static team night) usually involves fighting off too much wife aggro to make it worthwhile...

In any event, I do hope you do decide to start up running some events Whitefox.

23. OK, so the write-up (sorry for the delay – started this at 9am, but got sidetracked at work):

I was late…

…when I finally did make it into the game, Turg had departed to the realm of MA, but since there were 8 people just hanging around, we decided to get started.

Mission One: CoT hunt – no biggie

Mission Two: Malta & Knives of Artemis – I have to say that Mr E-Lectric isn’t too bad against the Malta (based on just standard IOs, he should have 90 energy resistance) – he pretty much shrugs off the end drain + we had Scruffy on his /kin corruptor which always helps.

Mission Three: We decided to play through & clear our way to the Tree Room. Everything ran mostly smooth – we did have a little split where a couple of people took the wrong path, but nothing disastrous. Clearing the CoT & the vines went well & we took out the tree pretty quickly…Actually, not being a speed person on these SF, I do have to say that this was the fastest I’ve ever completed a villain respec trial: 37 mins / 58 secs with 6 deaths – nice time!

Villain Respec Trial #3: 7/8/09 - Stat Box

The Respec Team:

Mr E-Lectric: Elec/Elec Brute
Hatake Kasumi: Widow
Gabriel Keats: Fire/Rad Corruptor
Kin Rothko: Rad/Kin Corruptor
Muse of Destruction: Crab
TREVOR: Spines/Nin Stalker
Childe: Dark/Dark Corruptor
Lady Nightmare: ???/??? Dominator

Since we finished so fast & since I was also a bit wired, I asked if anyone wanted to do something else…the consensus (for the most part) was the ITF.

We had a couple of people call it a night & a couple of people switch characters, so we recruited a couple of people to join in the adventure:

Smash PvPn 4 Fun took the lead for speed purposes (being sk’d up & not very speedy myself, I was OK with him taking the lead for the first two missions – considering the number of times I died during those missions, it was probably a good thing).

Hatake did nice job pulling during Mission Three & I thought overall it went pretty well.

Mission Four: We cleared the bridge a bit & moved to Rom. After the cut-scene, I jumped in to “break” Rom (amidst yells of protest from our two pick-ups). “No, No clear the platform first. No you don’t want to do that. Yadda yadda yadda…”

“Trust me,” I say… “MB does this all the time…” OK, so this was my first attempt at doing this, but luckily it did work. We were able to pull Rom away (no annoying Nictus) & take him down the requisite number of times pretty easily.

While the “core” team went to the ambush location on the hill & cleared there, the pick-ups went to the rooftops. We followed up on the rooftops finishing off the required number of traitors & completing the TF in 37 mins / 54 secs with 24 (majority were me) deaths.

ITF: 7/8/09 - Stat Box

The ITF Team:

Mr E-Lectric
Tarquin
Kin Neutron
Gabriel Keats
Smash PvPn 4 Fun
Hatake Kasumi
Frost Victim
xx NY Giants xx – or something like that – he quit the team so fast after we finished, that he didn’t make in into the screenshot.

Thanks for joining last night everyone - it was a lot of fun as always! Sorry once again for the late start...

After aggroing the Slinger, try to clear the surrounding mobs before taking him down to make it less hectic for when he spawns his bots.[*] Fourth Mission: After talking to Grillo (Third Mission), move to the base of the Atlas Statue. We may need to clear some nearby mobs first. Pull to the front foot of the statue (furthest from the Heroes). Set-up & wait for the ambush. If this occurs, we will determine a strategy - perhaps logging out to reset the mission & hoping for a better distribution of the heroes.[*]This is a work in progress
Don't get me wrong, I love my nephew & his wife...

...but, /em Jack Bauer - "The following events take place between 10:15pm & 11:09pm":

10:15pm OK, they are getting ready to leave, let me login & let everyone know what is going on & that I might be late (lol)

10:20pm After logging in I leave my message & go AFK

10:25pm Walk my nephew & niece out of the door (looks good right, but no) where the conversation continues...

10:45pm (I didn't know the time originally) I decide to go in & let everyone know that this is taking longer than I thought & to start without me, only to find that I timed out & auto logged... (ugh)

11:05pm They (finally) start walking to their car & I jump back in to my desk & start logging back in...which for some reason, would not move from the character selection screen...

11:08pm So...I post my message from my laptop

11:09pm I finally log back into the game

Once again, sorry everyone...usually a 1.5-2hr drive from my nearest relatives is sufficient deterrent to prevent these types of interruptions...
