Im abit lost atm with my level 22 EM/EL Brute. I love the powers available, but im totally lost about what to take.
At this moment, my build is a little messed up, with powers like Whirling Hands and Barrage. I have a respec available, and i intend to use it. After fiddling around abit with the building, i came up with this:

My concerns, tho, are the following:
- I miss any vertical movement, won't that be very annoying?
- I only have 3 attacks, isnt that too limited? (Take Air Sup + Fly would fix that, but then i miss Hasten)
- I have no idea where to fit in Aid Other -> Aid Self, there seems to be no room.
- Grounded or Lightning Reflexes at 22?
- Will Stamina be useless when Conserve Power will be available at 28? -> Which brings me to the question if i should walk around with my lousy build till 28, then respec Hurdle -> Health -> Stamina out, and create room for Aid Other -> Aid Self and take Conserve Power.
- Slot the shields with DamageRes, or more EndRed? Atm i left the slotting open, cause i don't really know what to slot, and what not.
Anyways, if i could get a few tips that can make me feel more secure about a certain build, i'd be happy. Btw, PvP isnt on my list of high importance. Teaming and some solo PvE are more important.

Awsome, thats a clear build
Might get Fly instead of Increase Density, and neglect IR, and take ID instead at that level. I kinda want a solid travel power. And then im still able to hover + siphon in combat.

You say SJ and Acrob. is very important for a controller, but why didnt you suggest it in the example build?
By the way, offtopic, whats actually the 'best' controller for soloing/damage? I cant think of any other AT to play, after tasting a controller, so im gonna start a new one soon probably. -
Well, first of all, this build is after the Terra V. TF respec. Before, i had Siphon Speed. I had trouble finding room for it, picked Hasten instead at level 30. Figured the running speed from Siphon wasnt needed for me, and Hasten gave me the recharge.
And to be honest, im missing it already.. Hence this help request. -
Hello there,
I've been playing my Illusion/Kinetics controller to level 30 last night, but i have a love/hate relationship with it. I feel like im missing some things, took unnessecary powers, im not sure. Any ideas what i could change to make soloing f.e. easier (i know im getting a Phantasm in two levels). Or maybe better slotting? What powers should i drop, and what should i take in return?
Any advice is welcome, thanks!

After seeing the last X-men movie, and seeing the all destructive power of Jean / Phoenix, i had the idea to grab that concept into a CoV toon.
I came up with either Gravity/Psi (fits Jeans telekinetics concept), or Gravity/Energy (Energy seemed a more reliable damage dealer).
My question is, which on of these two concepts should deal the most damage? Since i will solo quite alot, about 60% of the time, i need to be able to do decent damage.
The most appealing is Grav/Psi, but if Psi is too weak, ill drop that for abit off-concept Energy.

Well whether QR fits in a -concept- or not, i dont care, its just an awsome good power, which is a total shame to throw away from the Regen sheet. It was the reason for me picking regeneration on my CoH scrappers. And Hide is not a replacement at all. For soloing, QR was thé power, now, id pick Regen only for the heals. Dunno what a good alternative is, next to spines. Regen combined with Stamina might give abit of the same result, but with ED, the recovery will be less i think.

Hey, is it just me or did they destroy half of the use of Regeneration? If im right, Quick Recovery is left out of Regeneration in CoV. It made me so good in CoH with my scrapper, never had to rest!

Thats the kind of feedback i needed! Thanks alot! Didnt know Siphon Speed really speeded up recharges btw. So far ive only picked Repel and the Siphon heal. Repel is not any good, so thats going byebye also.

Been a while since i asked for this Travel Power advice. Atm im lvl 22, and picked super speed at 14, cause Hasten seems unmissable. But, i absolutly miss my vertical movement! Its [censored]!
As ive heared from several kinetics players, its a good choice for us kinetics to pick Siphon Speed with Hover, and later on, Inertial Reduction. Now, im trying to get lvl 24, so i can respec to Siphon Speed and Hover. Is this really good and comparable to Fly? Or would it be a wrong choice? And is Hasten no longer necessary then? -
I regret me taking Repel, from my secondary Kinetics. The end cost is HUGE and i hardly can use it. It does knock enemies succesfully away, but my whole end is drained in seconds. I would love to always have it on, cause it looks awsome, but that wont happen methinks. Dont take it, take Siphon Power or something instead

SJ sounds very attractive, cause its fast, and its just cool to jump enormous heights. Fly is just a reliable travel power, looks good with capes
. Im pretty much doubting between SJ en Fly. The Sup. Invis makes SJ even better i guess. Tho, Inertial Reduction is just as good as SJ, except for the fact it lasts for 60 secs.. But IR is a power that becomes available at alot higher level then 14. Can Speed Boost be cast on yourself btw?

Hey, im a illu/kin controller, and i cant make a choice in the travel power im gonna pick at 14. Kinetic has the speed and jump powerups, but im not sure if they can replace Super Speed or Leaping. Any tips about what the best travel power for a controller of my type is? And what i should or should not consider?

Tho, yesterday i took Integration as my new power. Suddenly made me look alot cooler and it makes playing/soloing ALOT better! Faster regen, no hold,sleep or knockback anymore, so i die alot less atm. This really made my MA/REG scrapper alot more fun
. I would advive that for every regen player.

Is it just me or do scrappers get abit repetitive and straighforward when leveling it higher?
Im kind of experiencing that, and gonna take my dark/dark def higher or start a mind/kin controller for good soloing.. -
Thanks again, nice reactions. Been playing MA/INV till lvl 6 tonight, the invulnerability toggle is kinda nice, but yes, that, combined with actions, drains both hp and end fast. (Btw, found out MA is alot better then Claws. Who wants to be Wolverine anyways
).
Ill try to get a MA/Regen a few levels up, and see what its like. Its just, i dont want to waste alot of time in builds/toons that turn out to be a bad choice at higher levels.
