    Yeah it's definitely the box. Well, it's more a case of the fact the game is poorly coded, but the hardware doesn't help. It's an Athlon X2 QL-64, 3GB of DDR, with a Barracuda 7200rpm system drive. The only real issue hardware-wise is the ATI HD 3200 integrated GPU, but even then, that's not actually the problem; GPU utilization is at maybe 40%; it's the CPU which is killing things. 90% utilization when standing in an unpopulated zone with no enemies on screen, you can just imagine how bad things get as soon as you introduce a few critters or players.

    I need to upgrade anyway because Lightroom crawls on here as well, which I use for my photography, but that probably won't be for a while, so hopefully the developers can fix things before then, otherwise I don't really see any other option than to disable my account
  3. Well congratulations, CoH is now unplayable for me.

    I've been running on minimal since day 1 of coming back after being absent since... oh I don't know, Issue 6, and since i20 went live, not even minimal is enough to give me more than around 5 fps.

    Looks like I might as well just deactivate my account until I get a new box.

  5. Not a pure farmer, I want it to be fairly tank-ish as well for running TFs and such. When I farm I mostly run KHAN's ambush, so I figured Lightning Clap would let me keep the majority of the room on its back while giving me a chance for recharge every time and a 7.5% recharge bonus, as well as room for another set of purps...

    Since I'm usually on KHAN I didn't really think I needed Taunt, otherwise I'd have taken that instead of Lightning Clap, and the others in the set are either buggy (Chain Induction) or dogs (Jacob's Ladder).

    I came up with a possible alternative, assuming Chain Induction works better when it's fully slotted, and that's Chain Induction with 5x Crushing Impact and a Kinetic Combat Chance for Knockdown proc... would that be a better option?
  6. I did actually have that combo (5 Obliteration + FF proc) in Thunder Strike, but took it out because I was over cap on the 5% recharge anyway from the other Obliteration sets. I thought the 7.5% recharge bonus from KC was more important than slotting purely for damage. I'll be going for T4 Spiritual, so I figured the recharge was high enough atm, but then again I haven't played with that build yet so I'm not 100% sure.

    Eventually I'm planning on setting purp sets where I can, Absolute Amazement, Armageddon, and Hecatomb 5-slotted should give me plenty of bonuses, with the 6th slots taken up by a proc.

    I'm still unsure as to whether I should slot Doctored Wounds or Regenerative Tissue, as RT has the global +Regen IO, but Doctored Wounds would give me a higher heal and quicker recharge of healing flames... I suppose I could try to pinch a slot from somewhere else to add the RT to a set of 5 DW, which would give me the best of both worlds, but I'm finding the slots quite tight tbh.

    Actually, scratch that... I'm capped on 9% accuracy bonuses from LotG, so I can drop a slot each from Invis and Grant Invis and move a slot to Healing Flames and Lightning Clap... That means I can have the DW/RT slotting, and add the KB +Rech proc to Lightning clap.

    Thinking about it, would Panacea +HP/End proc (20% chance for 4.3% Heal and 7.5% End) be better than RT's 25% +Regeneration bonus?

  8. Just put together my first build for my new farmer, going to set this up as build 2 but figured I'd post it on here first to see if my reasoning behind sets/slotting was sound.

    It's not quite permahasten; downtime is around 12s, but should still be plenty usable... those 12 seconds can just be used for firing off a few attacks and popping some insps.
