And hey, where the hell is my __________?!?
A.) (insert power set) for (insert AT)
    B.) (moon/space/gothic/rural/underwater/urban/underpants) zone
    C.) pony

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thanks... now I really want an underpants zone in the game!
  2. [ QUOTE ]
Red side or Blue side now we get PURPLE SIDE ARRRRRGGGGHHHHH
once a villain always a villain
Im not sure about this !!
Why have it when we can pick if we want to be a hero or a villain We can team with heroes in Cimerora why have heroes walking around Grandville or villains in Periguine Isle
Is this what going rogue means
Or will there be a parallel universe called Rogue where we can have a happy hour and kill the opposite side or team with them at will. I need more info and i need it now

    [/ QUOTE ]

My initial stab at this is that everyone (red + blue) will have access to Pratoria, and in that City, you will be able to mess around with your alignment. If you enter as a Hero, then go Bad, when you return to the "real" world you will be in the Rogue Isles. So, no, "heroes" will not be wandering about RI, only fallen heroes who are now villains.

It also sounds like you can go to RI (or Paragon) and be a double agent, so I'm guessing you can switch sides multiple times.

That was just the stuff in that survey released like a year ago, that Article is mostly speculation.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Speculation, but we do know that side switching will be in the expansion, so it's not a stretch to think other items on that list will be included. Also, the info about the MA was pretty much spot on, so I have a higher degree of confidence in this intelligence.
  4. True. They couldn't "kill" it with MA, so they're taking more drastic measures!
  5. Here's a link to the article about last years survey. And here's the list of possible features for the expansion:

    [ QUOTE ]

1.) New high level Space Station Zones (PVE, PVP, & Co-op)
2.) Characters that do not wish to change sides are rewarded by becoming exemplary heroes or villains, and earning rewards not available any other way
3.) Heroes and villains who go to the other side can also act as Double-Agents
4.) Character Creator 2.0 includes Powers Customization, allowing players to customize not only the character, but also the actual look of its powers
5.) Players undertake missions that define their character's morality and steer them in a more heroic or villainous direction
6.) By switching sides (going from good to bad or bad to good), players can access content "on the other side" (heroes can experience villain zones and content, and villains can experience hero zones and content)
7.) Completely new low-level player experience/zones for new characters in which new characters do not begin a hero or villain, rather become one or the other through early gameplay
8.) New Spy Archetype, Power Sets & Costumes
9.) Universal Enhancement Slots - at level 50, these enhance powers to the character, essentially bringing them to a hypothetical "Level 60" once they have earned all ten slots

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm not delirious enough to think we'll get all of this, but I am giddy enough to hope we will!

    QFT
  7. [ QUOTE ]
Hopefully Praetoria will have a lot of new content in the way of missions, mission art and possibly a TF.

    [/ QUOTE ]

A TF? If this is equivalent to the CoV box, I'm expecting 6 TFs along with new Respec Trials.
  8. [ QUOTE ]
From the trailer it looks like this box set will have the Duel Pistols powerset in it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I saw that. It will probably have Demon Summoning as well.
  9. [ QUOTE ]
My pessimistic meter is ringing a bit, though. Guess NCSoft's investment in this game is to make a bunch of cool stuff and make us pay over and above our $15 a month for it. *sighs* Maybe I'm reading the e-mail wrong, but this sounds like a paid expansion, since they're comparing it to COV's release. Not so keen on that. I just wish they'd make up their minds as to if this game would be a pay per month or pay for expansions.

    [/ QUOTE ]

This is definitely a retail box, GP, but it looks like we're getting a whole new "City" of content: Praetoria. Notice the new skyline in the Going Rogue logo. We'd never get this amount of content for free.

As far as a new AT, the marketing survey leaked last year (which seems eerily accurate now) did talk about a Spy AT. My guess is that's what we'll get.
  10. [ QUOTE ]
And the more I think about it, what about all the possible power adjustments for balancing issues? That alone sounds like a nasty headache. For example, we know that brute defenses are, iirc, 75% of tanker normals. Soo.. why wouldn't folks want to side-switch a tank to redside for the added shields for whatever reason?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think the Devs are willing to let this happen, DC. Tanks get better defenses at the cost of doing less damage. If people really want "real Tanks" red-side, then they are free to move them over from blue.

As far as PvP goes, my guess is the changes made in I13 mitigate the balance issues of allowing all 14 ATs go on either side.

Going Rogue is Paragon Studios' big play to remain relevant with CO and DCUO breathing down their neck. For good or ill, many people have been requesting side-switching for a long time, and now they're doing it. It will be funny to see the first all-Hero AT team demolish the LRSF.
  11. And confirmation from Castle. This is real as it gets, folks.
  12. My guess is that Going Rogue will be I16.

This definitely looks official. It's from newsletter@ncsoft.com and here's a link to the pic: http://www.newzyouwant.com/NCsoft/20...es/header4.jpg

It looks like newzyouwant does email PR work.
  13. Just got the email... HOLY [censored] [censored]!

  17. I just ran your MRLH arc and I can't believe it hasn't been reported yet, either by people who don't get it, or by those who do and are offended.

Great arc... I just wish it had more text!
  18. Mental_Giant

    Friday TFs

I can do 9:30... not sure what I'll bring.
  19. So what did the target level end up being? It looked like most people were around 17 when I logged.

  21. Thanks for all the advice and suggestions. Searching "[LBMA]" only yields two pages of arcs, but I imagine if people bothered to apply the tag these should be some of the better ones. The lowbie thread also helped.

    a new joke....

Screw that! I want a drop down menu where the current Menu is with the following choices:

    ICON
    Vangaurd Base
    Midnighter's club
    WW
    Crafting table

Just... all of it right there, I want to zone into Atlas Pa... NO! Not even that, I want to zone into the AE Building FIRST! That's right, ALL new toons just right into AE... you never leave the building - EVAR!

    Yeah... that sounds... awesome.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Fixed.
  23. Mental_Giant

    a new joke....

    [ QUOTE ]
And at the start, CoX blew other games out of the water in terms of fun and easy travel.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes, but it also spoiled us. Travel has just gotten faster and faster in this game, and now we've reached the end result: MA.

And I'm mad I have to run to Ms. Liberty every time I want to train!
  24. I wasn't looking for specific groups (didn't know you could do that, actually) I was looking for any low level content. Now that I know about the LBMA tag, I'll see what hits I get with that tonight.
