Are there Day Job sites in Praetoria for getting comparable Day Job accolades as are available in Paragon City? I have been looking at ParagonWiki but have not found a listing. The precincts do not appear to award the Law Enforcer, the train station does not appear to be awarding a badge... all that I have seen for sure is Patroller, but that isn't tied to any location.
Are the day jobs completely different in Praetoria? Surely there is a compiled source somewhere I could peruse.
Thanks in advance for the help! -
Quote:And indeed, even though I never accessed Map Options before, Precincts was de-selected.It's probably just that. I've had it happen to me 2 weeks ago. Just turn them back on and it should be ok again.

It's not my fault!

But now that I have found Precinct 7, I note that apparently it does NOT give credit toward the Law Enforcer day job!
Is there a location in Praetoria that gives credit toward the Law Enforcer badge? -

I have been away from the game for about 5 days and this evening I fired up one of my GR heroes created shortly after launch. I rolled up about 7 of them, and I used my Pocket D teleporter to park them all in the vault there to get the Banker day job badge. Since they are now past the 21 day mark, it is time to move them.
I logged on and noted the Banker badge was awarded, then headed back to Praetoria to park in a Police station to work on that badge, with Tear Gas Grenades being my ultimate goal.
Except I could no longer see any Police Precincts on the map. Not in Nova Praetoria nor Imperial City. This is very strange because I remember seeing them on the map with other Praetorian heroes. I went to where I remembered one of the precincts should be, and there was a Seer out front with numerous police standing in front of the doors... "You cannot enter."
I do not have time tonight to log on with another hero and see if I can find police precincts with him, but What in the Wide World of Sports could be going on here? I still see vendors, underground entrances, etc... just no police precincts. Any ideas? -
Quote:They don't have a lot of staying power, that is sure. But every little bit helps, so I just summon another.Well, except for the fact that they die if a Hellion looks at them funny.
I've used the vet pets, and I gave up on them after they consistently died 3 seconds into a fight.
I will often quip that "they shot my drone AGAIN! Don't they know how much those things COST??"
I have noticed an odd thing, though... they tend to hang where they are summoned, so I try to put them behind me. I have had better luck with their survival as a result.
But the BEST thing is when my drone gets an ice armor buff. It will have 6 inches of ice hanging on it, flying with no problems at all, bemusing me greatly.
Oh, and I used my drone to Tank the Alpha for the Clockwork King! Posthumous award for valor. -
Quote:Not to mention that they jump in front and take the bullet for you like Secret Service agents. I have been At Death's Door Knocking Loudly when fleeing, but the Fatal Shot was taken by my Wisp or my Drone and I escaped.I'm surprised at how few people use the little empowering vet-pets. Considering the lengths people go through to squeeze out a few points of defense, here's a free way yo get 3% and an endurance boost on top of that!
You have to be on the ground to fire them up, though. Bit of a pain, since I use Hover a lot, but you are right, Flea, those guys are GREAT. -
Steelclaw, you know the players and the game. Dead on funny, with a great deal of affection for the foibles of your cast.
I have never figured out "scouting ahead" either. -
Quote:You gotta watch it, though. Sometimes what ACTUALLY happens is that you just glow in the dark and start making lame explanations...You missed an opportunity to throw a geeky quote in there as you were being defeated.
You can't win, $target. If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine. -

She's not naked! Can't you see the armor?? Yeah, that's right, armor! For protection in combat! Standard female armor!
The Atlas Park Cutie does have nostalgic ties to the dawn of my superhero career, although others can grow on you for a variety of reasons. -

Quote:There is a list of asked-for improvements, such as Team LFM flags, not truncating the search lists, not listing teamed heroes unless they are LFM, etc. If that is shortly in the offing, much wootage!Well the devs have hinted at the idea of really improving team mechanics/ team building. If that is what they have in mind, then I'm pretty pleased (as long as it's as elegant and wonderful as the side-kick revamp).

Yeah, some funny folks wear the enemy Halloween costume during missions with those baddies, and upon occasion I will click on them to target them if the mission gets tense.
I sometimes get spooked by the potted plants when I am in a DE mission where they are providing a Robust Challenge. You never know about those plants...
What ALWAYS gets my attention is when someone brings along their Redcap Pet... had too many ambushes by those swine not to be a tad jumpy when I see one amble up... -
Golden Girl, what sells your work is that you have a fine touch with rhythm and flow on the dialogue, and you coax some pretty funny body language and facial expressions from your computer-generated actors. So the punchline bemuses me because the presentation was very skilled.
You also score big points with a deft touch in your series for satire and irony, and the motif of Mr. Scott's motivation colliding with Silver Age motivation. Very funny stuff.
I point this out because the only reward efforts like yours, Steelclaw's, Chase Arcanum's and Samuraiko's get is positive feedback, so I would be remiss not to express my great enjoyment. -
My heroes all use "Protector of Innocents."
Except the ones in Praetoria, who cannot get it atm. "Marked for Death" is what I am substituting, until something better comes along. -
The Blue King comics had a great feel because our three heroes were "minor" heroes. They were not all-powerful and had to use their wits. They were vulnerable. It had great appeal to the players, since that pretty well describes our own heroes in the game.
The Top Cow series featured the "major" heroes, but they ranged from Okay to Meh to Bleah in various aspects at various times, and I did not care for the way some of the authors treated the various characters. Some of the scripting was just painful to read.
The exception in Top Cow writing was Troy Hickman. I think he gave us a Statesman with humanity and a functional but "interesting" Freedom Phalanx. I really enjoyed his take on Citadel as well. I have continually banged on the drum to revive the comic with Hickman scripting and the Noble Savage doing the art. I think that team could revive either Blue King or Top Cow and put out a sensational product.
I am very interested to see where that "clue" is going to take us. -

Yer killin' me, Golden Girl, killin' me I say!
*thunderous applause*
The Resistance towel was such a nice little touch.
Skillz, you haz them. -
-
Steelclaw: excellent craftsmanship, as always.
My sympathies for the Traumatic Childhood Incident that introduced the music and lyrics of the original to you. -
Quote:*more applause*I made this one a couple of months ago for the closed beta, but as that section's now been wiped away forever, I'll repost it here, because it's Resistance-themed, even if it doesn't use Resistance-speak
Golden Girl, you haz skillz. This, too, is hilarious.
Ol' Calvin does not appear to be particularly Silver Age, does he? -
*applause for Golden Girl*
Fantastic cartoon.
I just get worried, because as I recall, someone reported "One odd fleyrod is out of skew on treadle!" and nobody knew what he was saying and the next thing you know, there was the Spanish Inquisition, which, needless to say, nobody expected. -
