  1. The Freakshow have a thing for lopping off various limbs and replacing them with huge metal implements of death. Which makes me wonder: what happens to the meat arms they removed? Or, in the case of Freak Tanks, what happened to the rest of their body below the neck?

On a related (but more disgusting) note, the description of the Freakshow who got both arms replaced says that they're incredibly destructive, but "must rely on other Freaks to feed them." But how do they do things like blow their noses (among other things)? Is that relegated to the really low-level Freaks who are being punished? I will be perfectly understanding if the answer to this is "I don't want to think about it, and neither should you."

On an also related but less disgusting note, there are some Portal Corporation missions which send you to worlds dominated by the Freakshow. These worlds are, as one would expect of an Earth where the Freaks are in charge, total dumps which have been completely trashed. Since I don't think the Freakshow "SMASH THE STATE, DESTRUCTION IS FREEDOM" mantra has a "but leave the infrastructure intact" rider on it, how do they get things like food, water, and electricity?

Unless an Invulnerability Tanker fires off Invincibility when 12 or more mobs are within range, according to Circeus' chart, Ice Armor will be superior to Invulnerability against Cold, Psionic, Toxic, Energy and Negative.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Cold damage comes from some Crey enemies, Outcasts in the Chiller line, and Ice Thorn Casters. I may be missing some, but I do recall hearing that cold is the rarest damage type in the game. Which means that being the best at it is, if you'll pardon the phrase, cold comfort at best.

To the best of my knowledge, none of the Ice powers provide defense to Psionic. Any edge Ice may have over Invulnerability against Psionics would be due just to the reduced attack frequency (which won't be as good once the damage debuff happens, but I'm assuming that the damage debuff will be enough to result in a net decrease in incoming damage).

Did Toxic defense finally get implemented? If not, then any protection we've got is coming from Hoarfrost.

Energy and Negative Energy don't have any clouds attached to their silver linings, but since Invulnerability is better than Ice against smash and lethal (the most common damage types, as you said), and we're completely naked against fire now that two of our three sources of protection from it have been gutted and the third offers only token resistance, I think ice is still trailing behind.

And on a tangent, I have to agree with whoever it was that said 0.5% defense is not worth using or slotting, so just take it out of Wet Ice and remove the ability to slot defense enhancers with it so people don't waste slots putting defense enhancements in it.
  3. It's a "yes" with a "when we have time" attached.

_Pax_, please confirm: Japanese Schoolgirl outfits?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, I could see how you could put the new femail Asian pieces together to create a school girl look. At least better than you can now. Most of the pieces were still unnamed, so there wasn't any peice called "Japanese School Girl Outfit" or anything like that.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Step one: get a team of eight female heroes in schoolgirl outfits in the arena.
Step two: have them face off against someone who can use Tenebrous Tentacles.
Step three: Get some screenshots. Amusing captions are optional.
    Step four: Profit!

Surely I'm not the only one thinking this. I will be sorely disappointed if I am.
  5. I thought Parry (both versions) gave +10% defense against melee attacks.

    More answers....

What happens if you have Death Shroud and the Cloak of Fear up at the same time once these changes go through? Do the enemies counterattack on every tick of the Shroud?

If that's the case, then this will be more like a limp Immobilize than a limp Paralyze, but it's still better than what it is now.
