  1. If you want to look at my own post do a search on holds in the suggestions forum.

    I cant really think of a better way to put it but i dont like the idea cos i think its a bit silly.

    As for toggles, leave them alone. How am i meant to have a chance against mr stalker and mr brute if i cant drop his toggles?
  2. I like blizzard games, but i think they must have been smoking something when they came up with that idea. I agree the current situation isnt great but I dont think i'd like to see this implemented. I posted my own solution in suggestions which might interest you.

    It depends on how you want to play, when i started out i was only interested in what looked like the coolest sets. Now i'm a little more knowldgeable, i'm more likely to pick my sets based on a playing strategy I want to use.

    Archery has an accuracy bonus, i believe energy does more damage (someone correct me if i'm wrong), psychic is the least resisted and sonic will weaken resistences. I'd prolly stick with my kin/elec though

    Yup, it doesnt help much when a few loosers believe that damage output is the only thing that matters and will ridicule the suppost classes for having low damage output. Doesnt matter if my defender can conistantly chase you away, still gets the "lol. u have to be kiding, ur damage is embarrasingly low". Now i just insult there lack of buffs, holds, AoE's, heals..etc.

    Think i might make a corruptor next, they look quite good, and there seem to be so few around.

    I just had more experience thats all. Thanks, I'm starting to see that a tank isnt a scrapper with more defence, so i'l be taking all the defence i can and slotting it heavily.

    By the sounds of. Maybe you could try it out before coming to a concrete conclusion. Since the alleged bug fix/nerf i've been caught out by unseen stalkers more often.

    As for soloing, I cant see any AT soloing an enemy team with some pvp experience.

    Well that sucks. Every other AT gets to use its inherent ability. I mean gauntlet could work by reducing the accuracy of attacks on nearby teamates or something.

    I prolly wont be slotting much in jab then in favour of the other powers.
  13. I'm putting an invulnerable/SS tank together and wouldnt mind hearing other peoples advice. I'm thinking of taking the knockdown/disorient attacks and slotting them to get the most out them for pvp.
    Also have a question, how does taunt and gauntlet work in pvp?

  16. I certainly couldnt see hidden + stealthed stalkers on my defender last night, got so bored chasing shadows i almost fell asleep. Anywho, I quite like the idea of defenders being able to see stalkers if they have gone out there way to do so. And its not like a defender will easily kill a stalker 1 v 1, most of my stalker battles have me zapping away for 5 minutes listening to insults like "haha, you have to be kidding" or, "omg, your damage is so lame u noob", before the stalker gives up or a team mate assits. A few anti-stalker nerf arguments centre around the role of the stalker AT, the role of a defender is to defend the team, something they are far more capable of doing if they can see the stalker. And no, i dont think it would break the stalker AT, just force them to team and use a better strategy than lumbering up beside someone and twiddling there thumbs while looking for there AS power. (that was to the poster that raised the issue of defenders seeing his stalker, forget the name).

  19. I helped gutts test some things last night. On my own with tactics, hide + stealth meant i couldnt see him. With tactics stacked from a team mate, i could see him. I dont really see what the big deal is (or the change) just dont mince into a large group of heroes running multiple tactics and youl be fine.

    ps. gutts said he noticed a change, but like i said, i didnt.

  21. Yup, as was said to everyone who moaned about stalkers being invisible and taking off shedloads of your hp. You'l just have to come up with new tactics

    tbh, i dont think this will affect the good stalkers too much though. There are a few who squeeze all they can out the AT.

  23. There isnt really an all round AT that can beat everyother AT on the other side. I have characters who can cripple other players, but dont hit hard enough to finish them off, I have to team, and the chances are you will have to team as well. Think about how you want to play, look at the best AT for your play style, maybe think about how you want to develop the character, and most of all, just have fun.

    I've seen players of all AT's in pvp and some play really well, even a few MM's, which a lot of people think is a rubbish AT for PVP.
  24. Some stalkers have perception bonuses, one stalker could see through my invis (power pool), so dont assume your cloak will work all the time.
  25. Do you need the goggles? I head u can see stalkers with just tactics and targetting drone.
