Full list here.
The full cast of Community is on Twitter. Even Starburns. Follow them as they anxiously prepare for their second semester at Greendale Community College!
(The tweets are getting more frantic and related to the official storyline as the time draws more near to the season premiere) -
Just read complaints that Rachel's treatement of Sunshine, as well as Tina and Mike's getting together, were racist...
... It takes a special kind of illiteracy to be unable to understand Glee. It's the most Anvilicious show on televison, and the one time it doesn't explicitly state its message, you miss it.
Well done. Achievement Unlocked. -
Oh, you're fine and I appreciate your forwarding the article. It just doesn't seem like there's much to discuss. From me at least.
Which means I shouldn't have posted.
So I'm going to smoke bomb now.
*poof*
Oh, hey look! It actually worked that time! -
The article fails to establish that sequels are anything more detrimental than personally annoying to them. Some sequels are good, some are bad. Some original titles are good, some are bad. The OP fails to make a case that a bad product can be linked to sequels. The shovelware on the Wii is all "original".
I don't see a real case here. -

Full article from MSN.
Short version: Katy Perry appeared on Sesame Street to perform a duet with Elmo. Unfortunately, many people felt that the amount of cleavage Perry showed was much too much. When the preview was released online, a high volume of complaints came in. Sesame Street folded and pulled the number. Katy Perry continues to host it on her own website, but it is no where to be found on official Sesame Street sites or the like.
So yes, there really is a Sesame Street clip that is being buried after being "Too Hot For Television".
From which your children were saved. -
Quote:I was thinking about that list and how, when someone else posted it, you and I both responded "But it's too early. Anything could happen!"But I was on time to this thread!
Sadly, we have to take Tartie off our list of functional couples in geekdom. At least, for now.
Season 2, Episode 1 Spoilers
I'm listening to a youtube version of Glee's Telephone. I think I love it because of the irony of the scene: Rachel's finally met someone that can take her in the battlefield of showtunes, and she lets loose with her full rage and talent. Sunshine, though, optimistic and kind, is simply happy to have someone to sing with. She's smiling and goofy the entire time, completely oblivious to the damage that she's doing to Rachel's psyche and ego.
She's as good as Rachel, but actually nice and with a personality. She's a great antagonist because, unlike Jesse St. James or Coach Sue, she isn't a worse person than Rachel. She's a better person, which is giving Rachel a chance to realize what a jerk she's been. I hope we get to see more of that.
SPOILER... OFF! -

Quote:I hated that. In fact, I believe I posted several threads about it. You want to know the kicker? After I decided to "grin and bear it", purchasing most of the music, they release a CD a month ago that's all 100 songs for $80. Compared to other costs, that's a phenomenal deal. It even has the "Exclusive" songs that weren't to be available ever again. It really annoyed me.The one problem I have about the show is the cash cow which is iTunes. I like some story with my musical and the later half of last season was packing in the tunes so they had more to sell.
I'm saving my money now for their doing it in Season 2. And if they don't... oh well. I'm done buying individual songs from Glee.
------
Also, they resolved to not pack as many songs in. They admit that it was a mistake and are focusing more on making songs fit than simply "meeting a quota". -
The show is hilarious, but in a very subversively dark way. It pretends constantly to be a happy, bright show about singing and underdog victories, but it's really a show about the desperation of the common person once they realize their irrelevancy. The entire show is petty and small, which is the grim tragedy of it all: These characters don't matter. Not even in the world crafted for them.
In addition to the sadness of the overall show, the jokes are dark. Characters are racist, sexist, homophobic, and generally unlikeable people. Like Michael Scott of The Office, though, they're presented in this way that makes them addictive. You root for them when they get it right. You root when someone throws them in the garbage. It's the duality there that is so much fun.
The show has a lot of fun alternating at a rapid pace between mocking melodramatic shows and actually being one such show. This gives the show an uneven vibe that is sometimes enjoyable, sometimes awkward. It isn't the best written, but it knows that and never tries to be.
Also, for Season 2 and the first half of Season 1, the music pretty much makes sense. It has a context, isn't abused, and actually adds to the story. I don't know what you mean by "Modern", but the show does music of almost all genres going back to the 80's. Showtunes, rock, rap, country, pop... you name it, they've done it. I admit that it's still a bit myopic to say "Popular music in the last two decades of American Culture", but they've explicitly stated an intention to open up their own horizons in Season 2.
Short Answer: Yes and start with Season 2, episode 1. You'll spoil most of the 1st season's big arcs, but I feel it represents the show well enough to help you decide.
Also, you don't know it yet...
... But this is the best character on television right now, bar none. -
A great episode. I was worried that they'd just hit a bunch of "Reset" buttons like they did during season 1.5. Having an entire sequence explicitly stating that they intended to learn from the mistakes of last season was both hilarious and reassuring.
The show's ability to have pitch black humor with a sunny smile has always been my favorite part of the whole ordeal. Rachel's attempt on Sunshine's life, as well as Brittany's immortal "Stop the Violence" quote are already some of my favorite moments.
Also... wham to Artie, eh? They've been foreshadowing this event ever since "Dream On" when Tina chose to dance with Mike. Still... that really sucks. Especially when the actor who plays Artie did an interview earlier this year where he said that he believed that Artie and Tina are going to be the only couple that works the entire show's run.
Still, it's nice that Mike is getting more screen time and relevance. I suppose moving up on the food chain is something they teach at Asian Camp. -
Haven't watched it yet, but "Mike Chang" and "Asian Camp" are trending topics on Twitter. I think the Other Asian cult following we've joked about is just the tip of the iceberg.

Video Here.
Lemony Snicket has written a book that outlines 13 of the most important words in the English language. I advise you to watch this hilarious trailer, as it contains neither the terrible fire, the gruesome murder, nor the apples of A Series of Unfortunate Events. -
Rachel meets Sunshine Corazon. Unbeknownst to Rachel, Sunshine is probably the only lady out there that can keep up with Rachel. That imminent irony combined with Rachel's social ignorance make this clip quite hilarious.
I can't figure out why all the clips are so dark, though. Is the lighting for the new season garbage? -
-
Season premiere tonight. New Directions is getting a huge boost in members. Matt Rutherford leaves the show. A bunch of other things I'm being careful about for the sake of spoilers.
Go and talk, but don't get too excited: Brittany's first episode as a lead is next week.
Edit: And make this discussion GOOD! Though completely unintentionally, this is the very thread for which we fought at the end of the 4th Era. -
Excellent!
Question: If you have two arcs that link together, forming one cohesive ten mission story, is that legit, or should I quit? -
-
My plans for this season:
- Castle
- Glee
- Modern Family
- Lie to Me
- No Ordinary Family
- Doctor Who (On Season 2 of the new run. New to the series. In love right now.)

I'm glad that those on the East Coast will get a taste of how awesome NCsoft's parties can be. It pains me that I can't attend, but turnabout is both fair play and a theme in Phoenix Wright. Party your sexy bums off, East Coasters!
Also, I enjoy the Rikti Mentalist, but when will the devs give us human mentalists?
Oops, botched my own punch line. I meant:
